  • In this paper, the algorithm of a methodology for the calculation of spectrum requirements was implemented. As well, the influence of traffic distribution ratio among radio access technology groups, spectral efficiency, and flexible spectrum usage (FSU) margin was analyzed in terms of the spectrum requirements, with a view toward for future development of international mobile telecommunication (IMT)-2000 and systems beyond IMT-2000. The calculated spectrum requirement in the maximum spectral efficiency case is reduced by approximately 40% compared to a minimum spectral efficiency case. The effect of the distribution ratio on the required spectrum is smaller than the effect of the spectral efficiency. As the flexible spectrum usage margin increases by 1.0 dB, the total spectrum requirement decreases by 0.9 dB. The required spectrum for the market input parameter, ${\rho}$ = 0.5 is 801.63 MHz, while the required spectrum for ${\rho}$ = 1.0 is 6295.4 MHz. This is equivalent to an increase of 785.32 %.

  • In this paper the algorithm of a methodology for the calculation of spectrum requirements was implemented. As well, the influence of traffic distribution ratio among radio access technology groups, spectral efficiency, and flexible spectrum usage(FSU) margin was analyzed in terms of the spectrum requirements, with a view toward for future development of IMT-2000 and systems beyond IMT-2000. The ratio of the spectrum requirement to the traffic distribution ratio is approximately $1\;GHz/20\;\%$, and the spectrum requirement varies from 5 to 9 GHz. As the FSU margin increases by 1.0 dB, the total spectrum requirement decreases by 0.9 dB. The required spectrum for the market input parameter, ${\rho}=0.5$ is 801.63 MHz, while the required spectrum for ${\rho}=1.0$ is 6295.4 MHz. It can be concluded that the market input parameter is the most effective parameter in the calculation of spectrum requirements.

  • In 2006, ITU-R estimated the spectrum requirements for IMT-Advanced including IMT-2000 and its enhancements. And WRC-07 indentified four new spectrum bands for IMT system. Based on these results, there are many activities which are related with IMT system and its spectrum inside and outside of the country. This paper covers the next generation mobile telecommunication spectrum issues and outlook for the future of it.

  • In this paper, we analyze the propagation modeling methods to evaluate the IMT-2000 satellite RTT (Radio Transmission Technology). To generate Rayleigh random numbers having Jake's Doppler power density spectrum, the Rice's sum of sinusoids methods are used and their statistical characteristics are compared with each other.

  • The classes of Reverse Jacket matrix [RJ]$_{N}$ and the corresponding Restclass Reverse Jacket matrix ([RRJ]$_{N}$) are defined;the main property of [RJ]$_{N}$ is that the inverse matrices of them can be obtained very easily and have a special structure. [RJ]$_{N}$ is derived from the weighted hadamard Transform corresponding to hadamard matrix [H]$_{N}$ and a basic symmertric matrix D. the classes of [RJ]$_{2}$ can be used as a generalize Quincunx subsampling matrix and serveral polygonal subsampling matrices. In this paper, we will present in particular the systematical block-wise extending-method for {RJ]$_{N}$. We have deduced a new orthorgonal matrix $M_{1}$.mem.[RRJ]$_{N}$ from a nonorthogonal matrix $M_{O}$.mem.[RJ]$_{N}$. These matrices can be used to develop efficient algorithms in IMT2000 signal processing, multidimensional subsampling, spectrum analyzers, and signal screamblers, as well as in speech and image signal processing.gnal processing.g.

  • In order to facilitate and to meet the ever increasing demands for the wireless communication in the next decade and also to satisfy the high data rates for the new services, the future development of 3G (IMT2000) and systems beyond 3G (B3G) are foreseen. This article presents the need for these developments and motivations for systems beyond 3G taking into account both strategic and technological challenges to be faced. Moreover, the concepts and potential technologies involved including multiple airinterfaces, efficient spectrum allocation and utilisation for the success of systems B3G are briefly reviewed.

  • In this paper, a wireless engineering field tool based on WCDMA is designed and implemented. Emerging requirements for higher rate data service and better spectrum efficiency are identified for the third generation mobile radio systems. The proposed WCDMA field tool is used for improving the quality of WCDMA service. The current position and time are measured and recorded with CDMA field data. With the system a user can observe the spatial distribution of the field data. For providing concurrency, the system is decomposed of four units and each unit is implemented by using threads.

  • In this paper, a pseudo-noise(PN) tracking and demodulation circuits are analyzed and designed for a direct-sequence/spread-spectrum multiple access system under a mobile fading channel. We consider noncoherent delay locked loop(DLL) as a PN code tracking loop which has 1/8 PN chip resolution. The tracking performance of DLL is evaluated in terms of locking time from a loose state and tracking jitter. The received signal is demodulated to original data by despreading with PN code locked by DLL. Also the designed circuit supports sound service of 32Kbps and in-band signal with 4.096MHz chip clock. The circuits are implemented and verified with FPGA, which is shown completely data recovery under AWGN 7dB and will be available for IMT-2000.
