Objective : Lacca Sinic: Exsiccate (LSE) extracted from Rhus vemicitlus Stokes (RVS) has been used traditionally as a remedy for inflammation in Korea, China, and Japan. However, as yet there is no clear explanation of how LSE affects the production of inflammatory cytokines. This study was to determine the effects of LSE on the mast cell-mediated inflammatory responses. Method : We measured the amount of inflammatory cytokine production induced by the phorbol myristate acetate (PMA) plus calcium ionophore(A231S7) in the human mast cell line (HMC-l) incubated with various concentrations of Laces Sinica Exsiccate (LSE). The $TNF-\alpha$, IL-6 and IL-8 secreted protein levels were measured by the ELISA assay. The $TNF-\alpha$, IL-6 and IL-8 mRNA levels were measured by the RT-PCR analysis. Nuclear and cytoplasmic proteins were examined by Western blot analysis. The NF-${\kappa}B$ promoter activity was examined by a luciferase assay. Result : LSE inhibited the PMA + A231S7-induced $TNF-\alpha$, IL-6, and IL-8 expression and suppressed NF-${\kappa}B$ activation in the stimulated-HMC-1. In addition, LSE inhibited induction of NF-${\kappa}B$ promoter-mediated luciferase activity. Conclusion : In this study, we have found that LSE is an inhibitor of NF-${\kappa}B$ and cytokines on the mast cell-mediated inflammatory responses.

This paper presents a step-down converter IC for automotive applications. This device was designed for a 40 V/1 A high-power output for voltage reference of automotive IC. It provides 250kHz PWM (pulse width modulation) and PFM(pulse frequency modulation) according to load conditions. This device was simulated spectre of IC-design-tools and fabricated Dong-bu Hitec 0.35um BD350BA process.

In this paper, we investigate the solution of the following functional inequality $${\parallel}f(x)+f(y)+f(az),\;w{\parallel}{\leq}{\parallel}f(x+y)-f(-az),\;w{\parallel}$$ for some xed non-zero integer a, and prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability of it in non-Archimedean 2-normed spaces.

We investigate an approximation order of a continuous $2{\pi}$-periodic function by periodic neural networks. By using the De La Vall$\acute{e}$e Poussin sum and the modulus of continuity, we obtain a degree of approximation by periodic neural networks.

This paper analysis the process capability by applying experiment design to control alcohol in soluble matter mixing process of laundry soap. The results are summarized as follows: (1) Alcohol insoluble matter shows the tendency of increasing according to the mixing temperature (A) and beating velocity (B). (2) The most suitable working condition of the mixing process is $A_2B_2$, and 95% confidence limit of alcohol insoluble matter is $22.06{\pm}0.77%$. (3) The process capability index ($C_p$) of the mixing process is improved from 0.64 to 1.68.

본 연구는 서양뒤영벌의 대량사육 체계를 확립하기 위한 기초조사로 적정 교미환경을 구명하기 위해 조사하였다. 서양뒤영벌의 적정 교미 광원 조사는 공시광원 IL30, FCL22D, FL20B, FL20PG를 사용하였으며, FCL22D에서 70%로 가장 높은 교미율이 얻어졌다. 적정 교미 온도 조사는 공시온도 15$^{\circ}C$, 2$0^{\circ}C$, $25^{\circ}C$, 3$0^{\circ}C$에서 시험하여 각 온도별 통계적 유의차를 확인 할 수 없었으나 $25^{\circ}C$에서 다소 높은 교미율을 보였다.
