  • In this paper, a performance evaluation of different current regulators for induction motor drive systems fed by IGBT inverter is presented. The twoparts of current regulation are considered : current error compensation part, voltage modulation part. The characteristics of hysteresis, synchronous PI, decoupled PI, predictive, deadbeat and stage feedback controllers are analyzed and the steady-state performances and transient responses of current regulation are well compared through the simulation and experimental results.

  • 철도용 전동기는 작은 크기와 중량에 비해 큰 추진력(토크)을 필요로 하지만, 전철의 입력전원 시스템의 특유한 성질로 입력전압이 주기적으로 부족하다. 따라서 전압이용률을 최대화할 수 있는 과변조 PWM이 필요하다. 또 철도용 IGBT 인버터의 스위칭 주파수는 기존의 GTO인버터보다 2배 이상 크므로 철도용 IGBT 인버터 전용의 새로운 동기화 전략이 필요하다. 본 논문은 'Min/Max PWM'을 과변조 영역으로 선형 확장하는 과변조 PWM기법과 최적 동기화법을 혼합한 철도용 IGBT 인버터를 위한 최적 PWM 전략을 제안한다. 전동기-관성부하 모델을 대상으로 시뮬레이션한 결과와 축소모델 실험 결과는 본 전략이 타당함을 보여준다.

  • Since it is essential for traction motors to reduce size and weight to achieve given traction effort, they need high input voltage. But the lack of input voltage occurs periodically due to the characteristics of train system. Therefore traction inverters use over-modulation PWM to maximize inverter's voltage gain. On the other hand, IGBT inverters can use higher frequency twice than GTO ones, which resulted in the need for novel optimal synchronous PWM strategy. This paper suggests that linearly-compensated overmodulation/optimal synchronous PWM strategy and also the simulation results of the method for a real traction motor-intertia model are presented.

  • This thesis proposes novel SRP-PWM(Separately Random Pulse Position PWM) techniques and novel two-phase switching pattern applied to four-switch inverter, having various advantages such as operation time decrease that is required for decrease of switching damage, easy of implementation and inverter control at high frequency switching. In this thesis, we wish to confirm that SRP-PWM techniques disperse harmonic spectrum of inverter output current evenly into wide frequency area, that is, side-band of specification frequency. And we confirm the harmonic reduction effect of proposed techniques. Therefore, we will achieve an experiment by IGBT inverter using DSP and will verify the validity of proposed techniques compared with simulation results that use MATLAB/SIMULINK.
