  • In this paper, we propose electronic payment protocol using GDHP blind signature scheme to activate e-business in the wire/wireless integrated environment. The protocol applied elliptic curve algorithm on the GDHP base and improved the efficiency of the existing blind signature technique on the basis of communication frequency and calculation number. And the protocol accelerated speed and strengthened safety against man-in-the-middle attacks and forward secrecy because the certification between individuals is performed by the session key created by Weil paring using elliptic curve cryptosystem in the limited entity $F_q$ instead of the certification used in the existing PayWord protocol.

  • It has been widely believed that one can obtain $\iota$-Hierarchical Identity Based Encryption (HIBE) scheme secure against chosen ciphetext attacks from ($\iota$+1)-HIBE scheme secure against chosen plaintext attacks. In this paper, however, we show that when applying two concrete HIBE schemes that Boneh et al. [1, 2] proposed, chosen ciphertext secure $\iota$-HIBE schemes are directly derived from chosen plaintext secure $\iota$-HIBE schemes. Our constructions are based on a one-time signature-based transformation that Canetti et at.[3] proposed. The security of our schemes is proved in the selective-ID suity model without using random oracles.

  • Delegation of signing capability is a common practice in various applications. Mambo et al. proposed a proxy signatures as a solutions for delegation of signing capability. Proxy signatures allow a designated proxy signer to sign on behalf of an original signer. After the concept of proxy signature scheme is proposed, many variants are proposed to support more general delegation setting. To capture all possible delegation structures, the concept of delegation network was proposed by Aura. ID-based cryptography, which is suited for flexible environment, is desirable to construct a delegation network. Chow et al proposed an ID-based delegation network. In the computational point of view, their solution requires E pairing operations and N elliptic curve scalar multiplications where E and N are the number of edges and nodes in a delegation structure, respectively. In this paper, we proposed an efficient ID-based delegation network which requires only E pairing operations. Moreover, we can design a modified delegation network that requires only N pairing operations.

  • Most mobile cloud computing system use public key cryptography to provide data security and mutual authentication. A variant of traditional public key technologies called Identity-Based Cryptography(IBC) has recently received considerable attention. The certificate-free approach of IBC may well match the dynamic qualities of cloud environment. But, there is a need for a lightweight secure framework that provides security with minimum processing overhead on mobile devices. In this paper, we propose to use hierarchical ID-Based Encryption in mobile cloud computing. It is suitable for a mobile network since it can reduce the workload of root Public Key Generators by delegating the privilege of user authentication and private key generation. The Identity-Based Encryption and Identity-Based Signature are also proposed and an ID-Based Authentication scheme is presented to secure data processing. The proposed scheme is designed by one-way hash functions and XOR operations, thus has low computation costs for mobile users.

  • A proxy re-encryption scheme allows Alice to temporarily delegate the decryption rights to Bob via a proxy. Alice gives the proxy a re-encryption key so that the proxy can convert a ciphertext for Alice into the ciphertext for Bob. Recently, ID-based proxy re-encryption schemes are receiving considerable attention for a variety of applications such as distributed storage, DRM, and email-forwarding system. And a non-interactive identity-based proxy re-encryption scheme was proposed for achieving CCA-security by Green and Ateniese. In the paper, we show that the identity-based proxy re-encryption scheme is unfortunately vulnerable to a collusion attack. The collusion of a proxy and a malicious user enables two parties to derive other honest users' private keys and thereby decrypt ciphertexts intended for only the honest user. To solve this problem, we propose two ID-based proxy re-encryption scheme schemes, which are proved secure under CPA and CCA in the random oracle model. For achieving CCA-security, we present self-authentication tag based on short signature. Important features of proposed scheme is that ciphertext structure is preserved after the ciphertext is re-encrypted. Therefore it does not lead to ciphertext expansion. And there is no limitation on the number of re-encryption.

  • In this paper, we show that the status certificate-based encryption(SCBE) scheme proposed at ICISC 2004 and the certificateless signature(CLS) scheme proposed at EUC workshops 2006 are insecure. Both schemes are claimed that an adversary has no advantage if it controls only one of two participants making a cryptographic key such as a decryption key in SCBE or a signing key in CLS. But we will show that an adversary considered in the security model of each scheme can generate a valid cryptographic key by replacing the public key of a user.

  • In order to support secure communication in VANET(Vehicular Ad hoc Network), messages exchanged between vehicles or between vehicle and infrastructure must be authenticated. In this paper, we propose a hierarchical anonymous authentication system for VANET. The proposed system model reduces the overhead of PKG, which is a problem of previous system, by generating private keys hierarchically, thereby enhancing practicality. We also propose a two-level hierarchical identity-based signature(TLHIBS) scheme without pairings so that improve efficiency. The proposed scheme protects the privacy of the vehicle by satisfying conditional privacy and supports batch verification so that efficiently verifies multiple signatures. Finally, The security of the proposed scheme is proved in the random oracle model by reducing the discrete logarithm problem(DLP) whereas the security proof of the previous ID-based signatures for VANET was incomplete.

  • Although many revocable group signature schemes has been proposed in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs), the existing schemes suffer from long computation delay on revocation that they cannot adapt to the dynamic VANETs. Based on Chinese remainder theorem and Schnorr signature algorithm, this paper proposes an efficient revocable group signature scheme in VANETs. In the proposed scheme, it only need to update the corresponding group public key when a member quits the group, and in the meanwhile the key pairs of unchanged group members are not influenced. Furthermore, this scheme can achieve privacy protection by making use of blind certificates. Before joining to the VANETs, users register at local trusted agencies (LTAs) with their ID cards to obtain blind certificates. The blind certificate will be submitted to road-side units (RSUs) to verify the legality of users. Thus, the real identities of users can be protected. In addition, if there is a dispute, users can combine to submit open applications to RSUs against a disputed member. And LTAs can determine the real identity of the disputed member. Moreover, since the key pairs employed by a user are different in different groups, attackers are not able to track the movement of users with the obtained public keys in a group. Furthermore, performance analysis shows that proposed scheme has less computation cost than existing schemes.

  • This paper presents an authentication model for security on satellite command & control communications. The proposed authentication scheme is based on the modified Shamir's signature scheme using a satellite ID(Identity) and the model uses time stamp for protection of command replay attack from unauthorized center. The message authentication with command counter that includes an available key and the algorithm is for loading and execution of commands in the model. Two-way scheme for key change and confirmation between satellite control center and satellite is also proposed.
