This study investigates the application of management information systems to the quality of local government financial reports, especially the principle of transparency and the law of accountability, which have been measures of financial statement performance evaluation. The study was conducted in Enrekang Regency, Indonesia, which, based on the results of the examination, the Supreme Audit Board reported the status of Disclaimer, Fair with Exceptions, and Fair without Exceptions for three years each. This study used a sample of 35 respondents, finance department employees who worked on local government financial reports. Descriptive quantitative data were collected using a questionnaire instrument, then with the assistance of the Program Solution and Product Statistics (SPSS) Program, data were processed to test hypotheses. The results showed that the use of management information systems based on information and communication technology (ICT) had a significant influence on the quality of local government financial reports. The findings of this study indicate that the application of ICT-based management information systems affects the accountability and transparency of local government financial reports. This finding is reinforced by the use of the principles of government agility in the form of government apparatuses that apply responsive dexterity, flexibility agility, and competency agility.
Technostress management is increasingly getting important as ICT advances and infiltrates every job and task. Especially with the advent of COVID-19, workers had to switch to teleworking utilizing ICT extensively. In this study, we developed a research model explaining antecedents and their impacts on technostress in telecommuting context, especially under the COVID-19 situation. The result revealed that techno-complexity, techno-invasion, and techno-overload are the dominant factors that affect the negative psychological responses in the COVID-19 situation. Among them, we found that techno-overload maintain the most significant influence. It is due to the lack of instant feedback on workload allocations in telework and the lack of adjustment period with the sudden shift to telecommuting. In the case of techno-complexity, employees seem to experience difficulty acquiring new technical skills. Finally, the techno-invasion came out significant, signifying the infiltration of working space by home-related activities. The emotion-focused coping strategy had a moderating effect. In contrast, the problem-focused coping strategy had no significant effect, indicating that an appropriate emotional coping strategy is more important for workers undergoing extreme changes in the work environment. Subsequently, practical and theoretical implications, limitations, and future research directions are discussed.
Purpose: As Thailand endeavors to solidify its position in the global supply chain, unraveling the determinants of innovation and performance becomes imperative for sustained competitiveness. This research delves into the multifaceted landscape of logistics and supply chain organizations in Thailand, aiming to identify and understand the key factors that significantly influence innovation and organizational performance in this dynamic sector. Research design, data, and methodology: A questionnaire is developed to survey to 400 employees who have at least one-year experience in selected ten logistics and supply chain organizations in Thailand. The sampling techniques involved judgmental, convenience and snowball sampling. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) were employed to assess and validate the model's adequacy and to conduct hypothesis testing. Results: The findings reveal that ICT use significantly influenced entrepreneurial orientation and innovation but has no significant influence on organizational performance. Additionally, innovation was significantly influenced by collective entrepreneurship but not by entrepreneurial orientation. Finally, innovation significantly influenced organizational performance. Conclusions: The study concludes with actionable insights for logistics and supply chain organizations in Thailand. This research serves as a valuable resource for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers seeking to advance the understanding of organizational dynamics in this critical industry.
This study discusses whether digital literacy of Chinese white-collar workers influences informal learning and investigates the moderating effect of incentives on the relationship between digital literacy and informal learning. The aim of the research is twofold. First, it attempts to determine whether digital literacy of white-collar employees has a positive correlation with informal learning. The study further examines whether incentives from companies-material and non-material-have a moderating effect on the relationship between digital literacy of white-collar employees and informal learning. The ability to handle ICT devices and to utilize information both indicate positive correlations with knowledge acquisition through job performance, cultivation of self-development ability, and learning. Signficantly, the material and non-material incentives had a moderating effect only on the relationship between the ability to utilize information and knowledge acquisition through job performance, which was not revealed in other relationships. Overall, the findings may have practical implications of analysis to hire and train workers in Chinese companies and to design compensation schemes for corporate incentives.
In digital convergence environment, information security management plays crucial role in maintaining firms' competitiveness. Organizational citizenship behavior(OCB) enables informations security countermeasures to be more effectively worked by helping employees to have much knowledge of information security policy, by facilitating employees to participate in information security education/training. Thus, the purpose of this study is to investigate the mediating effect of OCB on the relationships between information security countermeasures and compliance intention. Questionary was designed based on prior information security research, and survey was conducted among companies' employees across the industry. Results showed that information security policy and information security education/training were found to be key predictors of compliance intention. In addition, OCB was proven to mediate the relationships between information security countermeasures and compliance intention.
This study applies the concepts of sociotechnical theory and role theory in order to verify the effects of stress (that is, technostress) created from information and computer technology (ICT) concerning role stress and performance. We suggest diverse perspectives concerning the elements leading to technostress along with the stress-creating process of ICT among organizational members. The following four major hypotheses are proposed: (1) Technostress is positively related to role stress (e.g., conflict and overload of roles), adverse psychological outcomes, and adverse IS use related outcomes, (2) Role conflict is positively related to adverse psychological outcomes and adverse IS use related outcomes, (3) Role overload is positively related to adverse psychological outcomes and adverse IS use related outcomes, and (4) Innovation support will play as a moderator between technostress, roles tress, adverse psychological outcomes and adverse IS use related outcomes. A partial least square (PLS) with data gathered data from ICT users of organizations was used to verify the proposed hypotheses. The results supported our claims excluding the hypothesis associated to the relationship between technostress and role stress. We suggest a theoretical implication based on the verification of technostress related to the current concept of stress experienced by individuals within organizations. We also propose that a practical implication concerning the opposite effect of technostress, can be utilized as a method of reducing role stress, and suggests a diagnostic tool for assessing the degree of technostress within organizations.

Uganda is a country blessed with the biggest number of mountain Gorillas in the whole world. These animals contribute at least 12% in revenue generation to the Tourism sector through tracking by both local and foreign tourists who pay for the tracking permits. However, Gorilla tracking is also a big challenge even in the presence of highly skilled and well-trained game rangers. Development and implementation of a secure Computer and Mobile based Gorilla Tracking (GT) system that uses GIS and GPS technologies would be the most ideal technology to use. Therefore, this study aimed to find out the critical factors that would affect the Behavioral Intention of the would-be users to successfully decide to use such GIS/GPS-GT system. We used the existing UTAUT model to integrate six factors such as Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Employee Peer Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Behavioral Intention and System Use. However, Infrastructure Availability and Non-Technical Facilitating Conditions were added to reflect Ugandan ICT context. This amended UTAUT model was used to carry out the survey. The questionnaire was emailed to 220 government employees in the fields of ICT, Tour and Travel, Environmental Groups officials and Farmers who garden near the game reserves. A total of 133 were obtained fully completed, whereas 127 were deemed usable thus yielding a response rate of 58%. The analysis results show that except for non-technical facilitating conditions, effort expectancy, peer influence, performance expectancy and infrastructure availability positively affects behavioral Intention to use GIS/GPS-GT. This indicates that people in Uganda don't bother about regulations and rules in regard to using information system. As long as the system does what they want it to, anything else does not matter. As an employee in an organization is told to use a system by their supervisor, they have no objection to otherwise they risk losing their job. This implies that, supervisors have a great responsibility in the process of developing, implementing and using the system in Uganda.

By using ICT in the manufacturing industry with the advent of "Industry 4.0" of Germany, it has been promoted a lot of research to maximize the production capacity. Be particularly increased manufacturing complexity, increase the information delivered to the operator, augmented reality technologies in order to maximize production have been studied. In this paper, in order to solve the deficiencies problem that frequently occurs in the actual site, using the augmented reality technology, provides a system for providing personal training information to the worker. Proposed system, by fusing worker information and process another job, generates educational information of the individual, it is to provide information through the video of the tablet. When using such methods, it is expected that it is possible to improve the production quality of the manufacturing industry to overcome the deficiencies problem that frequently occurs through the continuing education of employees.
Purpose - The quality of customer service has been importantly considered as a way of retaining current customers. Recent development of service industry which based on Information & Communication Technology allows firms to utilize different employees for their businesses. Although it is regarded as important to consider emotional labor of employees working for customers in ICT service industry, little was known the role of emotional dissonance. Thus, current paper focused on emotional labor and tried to identify the factors which influence on employees' intrinsic motivation for married women working in call centers. This study highlighted the influence of the emotional dissonance on the employees' intrinsic motivation, and the moderating influences of work-family conflict on the relationship between emotional dissonance and intrinsic motivation. Research design, data, and methodology - The research samples were gathered from seven call centers of Korean financial institutions located in South Korea. The model of emotional dissonance was developed, which emphasizes the influence of emotional dissonance as a predictor on intrinsic motivation, and then the other model was also introduced to explain how employees' intrinsic motivation were aggravated by work-family conflict. To examine these research models, samples were collected from 468 married women working in call centers of Korean financial institutions located in Seoul. A total of 468 samples were used in the analysis after deleting data of missing value. SPSS 22.0 were utilized for data analysis. Results - The results of current study showed that emotional dissonance is negatively related to intrinsic motivation, and there are significant differences in work-family conflict. Those results generally support the proposed hypotheses. Conclusions - These results suggest that the relationship of intrinsic motivation of married women working in call center for customers' service were influenced by emotional dissonance, which outcomes were interacted not by face-to-face contact with their customers, but by emotional contacts. Managerially, these findings suggest the one who emphasize the quality of customer's service of call center need to introduce the programs for minimizing both of emotional dissonance and work-family conflict. These findings also suggest that the service quality via intrinsic motivation of married women working in call center is hard to be accomplished without considering the factors of emotional dissonance and work-family conflict.

While the demand for ASP(Application Service Provider) focused on small and medium enterprises who are fully aware of needs of ICT readiness has been increasing, those who consider to adopt ASP are wondering whether their performance would be actually successful if they did. These concerns can be an important standard of judgement, when introducing new information systems, by analyzing ROI(Return on Investment) on the current enterprises. Therefore, to review the feasibility of investing IT and measuring the performance, this study suggests a framework for ROI analysis which estimates IT investment performance, through multi-criteria approach on both financial performance index and non-financial one. We applied methodology on ASP-based IT investment performance evaluation to sample manufacturing companies under 50 employees and deduced the main implications to be considered when introducing the system.
