Risk Assessment Based on Highway Hydrogen Chloride Gas Leakage Scenario Using GIS (GIS를 활용한 고속도로 염화수소 가스 누출 시나리오 기반 리스크 평가)

  • As the domestic chemical industry continues to develop, handling and transportation of chemicals increases every year. Road freight in Korea accounts for more than 90%, and most of the chemical transportation is done through roads. These chemical vehicles can lead to major accidents if accidents occur. Transportation vehicles are likely to cause water pollution and soil pollution, which are factors of environmental damage, as well as traffic accidents that are the primary damage. In this work, we write a scenario for hydrogen chloride gas leakage by setting Banpo IC and Seocho IC sections as research areas, and use the ALOHA program to measure the predicted distance and analyze the time when hydrogen chloride gas reached according to the distance. In addition, risk assessment using population density was carried out for areas of damage caused by time using GIS. This suggests the need for prevention and countermeasures in areas of damage.

  • 숙성 기간(1, 3 및 5년)이 다른 멸치 액젓으로부터 추출한 biocompound는 정제과정에서 숙성 1년의 멸치 액젓은 3개, 숙성 3년의 멸치 액젓은 4개, 숙성 5년의 멸치 액젓은 5개의 Peak를 각각 나타내었다. 숙성 기간이 길수록 멸치 액젓의 biocompound는 저분자화 었으며, gel chromatography상의 후반부에 나타났다. 숙성 기간이 다른 멸치 액젓으로부터 추출한 biocompound들의 생리활성(항산화, 항암, ACE 저해활성 )은 숙성 기간이 길수록 증가하였다 특히 항산화 및 항암활성은 $IC_{50}$/이 각각 34 및 44 $\mu\textrm{g}$/mL인 3년 숙성 peak 3이 제일 높았으나, ACE 저해 활성은 $IC_{50}$/이 32$\mu\textrm{g}$/mL인 1년 숙성 peak 3이 제일 높았다. 천연 숙성 멸치 액젓의 저분자 peptide는 뛰어난 생리활성을 갖고 있음이 밝혀졌으나 구조 분석 등의 추가 연구가 필요하다고 본다. 5년 숙성 멸치 액젓 분획 중 항산화활성이 높은 1-A-II-d와 1-A-III을 sequence analyzer로 분석한 결과 각각 glutamic acid및 lysine의 단일 아미노산으로 나타났다.

Fabrication and Application of Nano-Fibers for Korean Post-Textile Industry (나노섬유의 제조와 응용 및 한국의 차세대 섬유산업)

  • In this work, poly(ethylene oxide) nanofibers were fabricated by electrospinning to prepare nanofibers-reinforced composites. And the PEO powders-impregnated composites were also prepared to compare with physicochemical properties of nanofibers-reinforced composites. Morphology and fiber diameter of PEO nanofibers were determined by SEM observation. Mechanical interfacial properties of the composites were investigated in fracture toughness tests and interlaminar shear strength (ILSS) test. As a result, the fiber diameter decreased in increasing applied voltage. However the optimum condition for the fiber formation was 15 ㎸, resulting from increasing of jet instability at high voltage and the prepared PEO nanofibers were useful in fiber reinforced composites. The PEO-based nanofibers-reinforced composites showed an improvement of fracture toughness factors ($K_{IC} and G_{ IC}$) and ILSS, compared to the composites impregnated with PEO powders. These results were noted that the nanofibers had higher specific surface area and larger aspect ratio than those of the powder, which played an important role in improving the mechanical interfacial properties of the composites.

열정! 건설현장 - 쌍용건설, 단양IC-대강 도로건설공사 현장

  • 충북 단양은 우리나라에서 대표적인 산수(山水)의 고장으로 꼽힌다. 남한강과 소백산이 만들어낸 단양팔경은 국내에서도 내로라하는 관광명소다. 그야말로 도시생활에서 지친 몸과 미음을 치유할 수 있는 최적의 장소인 것이다. 하지만 그동안 단양을 찾는 이들에게는 조금의 불편함이 있었던 것도 사실이다. 단양IC에서 단양역까지 이르는 도로는 남한강(충주호)을 끼고 있어 최고의 절경을 볼 수 있는 드라이브 코스로 유명하지만 왕복 2차선에 불과해 주말, 휴가철에는 병목현상이 빈번했기 때문이다. 또 그만큼 교통안전 여건도 좋지 않았다. 이런 문제점들은 2016년 4월이면 완벽히 해소될 전망이다. 쌍용건설이 이 구간을 4차선으로 확장하는 건설공사를 한창 진행하고 있기 때문이다. 쌍용건설은 이룰 통해 도로이용자들의 교통안전을 확보하고, 지역 균형발전에 이바지한다는 계획이다. 때문에 이곳 현장에서는 무엇보다 안전을 최우선 가치에 두고 있다. 이곳의 안전관리가 어떻게 전개되고 있는지 찾아가 봤다.

  • IT 기술, 반도체 산업 등의 급격한 발전에 힘입어 최근의 첨단 전자, 통신제품은 초경량 초소형화와 동시에 고기능 복합화의 발전 추세를 보이고 있다. 이런 추세에 발맞추어 전자제품, 통신제품의 핵심적인 부품인 IC chip도 소형화되고 있다. IC chip 패키징 기술의 하나인 Filp Chip Package는 Module Substrate 위에 Chip Surface를 Bumping 시킴으로서 최단의 접속길이와 저열저항, 저유전율의 특성도 가지면서 초소형에 높은 수율의 저 원가생산성을 갖는 첨단의 패키징 기술이다. 이런 패키징 기술은 수요증가와 더불어 폭발적으로 늘어나고 있으나 까다로운 공정기술에 의해 아직 여러 회사에서 장비가 출시되고 있지 못한 상태이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 최근 수요가 증가하는 LCD Driver IC용 COF 장비를 위한 Flip chip Bonding 장비 및 시스템을 설계, 제작하였다.

Rapid Detection of Infectious Bursal Disease Virus (IBDV) in Chickens by an Immunochromatographic Assay Kit

  • An immunochromatograhy (IC) based infectious bursal disease virus (IBDV) detection kit, which employed two anti-IBDV VP2 monoclonal antibodies, was evaluated for rapid diagnosis of infectious bursal disease virus (IBD). The detection limit of the IC kit for IBDV was $10^{3.1}$ to $10^{3.9}$ $EID_{50}$/mL, indicating that the IC kit detected IBDV sensitively as same as double antigen capture ELISA but less than a RT-PCR assay. The IC kit did not detect other viral pathogens such as Newcastle disease virus, infectious bronchitis, avian influenza virus, and infectious larynotracheitis virus. When applied to tissue samples of experimental chickens died 3 or 4 days post infection after very virulent IBDV (strain Kr/D62) infection, the IC kit detected IBDV in all samples of the bursa of Fabricius, spleen, kidney, cecal tonsil and in 87.5%, 37.5% and 0% of liver, thymus and proventriculus samples. In particular, BF tissue samples showed stronger signal bands than other tissues. Positive signal was observed. All except for one thymus sample of samples having negative results by the IC kit showed the same result with DAS-ELISA but RT-PCR assay detected IBDV in some of IC kit negative samples of thymus and proventriculus. When swab samples from the bursa of Fabricius of dead chickens (n=231) on field farms were tested, the sensitivity and specificity of the IC assay relative to RT-PCR was 100% (109/109) and 97.5% (119/122), respectively and kappa value between both assay was 0.97. The kit can provide a useful aid for rapid detection of IBDV in chickens under field circumstances.

Lipase Inhibitory Mode of Dieckol Isolated from Eisenia bicyclis Ethanol Extract (Eisenia bicyclis 에탄올 추출물로부터 분리한 Dieckol의 Lipase 저해 Mode)

  • This study was performed to investigate the possible use of Eisenia bicyclis (EB) ethanol extract to inhibit activity against lipase. In tests, the lipase inhibitory activity of EB ethanol extract was noted as being 43, 27, and 24% at concentrations of 5, 2.5, and 1 mg/ml, respectively. Isolation was carried out by liquid and liquid extraction, silica-gel column chromatography, and HPLC. The results showed that the lipase inhibitory activity of the ethyl acetate (EA) fraction from EB ethanol extract exhibited the strongest lipase inhibitory activity with an $IC_{50}$ value of 1.31 mg/ml. The EA fraction was separated using silica-gel column chromatography and we obtained 22 sub-fractions. Amongst them, the EA1 fraction showed the highest lipase inhibitory activity with an $IC_{50}$ value of 0.54 mg/ml. Eight peaks were obtained from the EA1 fraction by HPLC. Fraction 5 also showed a strong lipase inhibitory activity with an $IC_{50}$ value of 0.37 mg/ml. The fraction 5 was identified as dieckol and the inhibition pattern analyzed from Lineweaver-Burk plots revealed a non-competitive inhibitor. These results suggest that EB has potential as a natural anti-obesity agent.

Screening for Antioxidative Activity of Jeju Native Plants (제주 자생 식물들의 항산화 활성 능력 검색)

  • We selected 8 plants among 11 Jeju native plants to search useful natural anti-oxidants by determining the amount of total polyphenols and the various anti-oxidative effects. Ethyl acetate extracts of Castanopsis sieboldii (Makino) Hatus. and butanol extracts of Oenothera laciniata Hill showed strong DPPH free radical scavenging effect. The IC50 value of each solvent extract was 1.6 ㎍/㎖ and 2.4 ㎍/㎖, respectively. The ethyl acetate fraction of Castanea crenata Siebold & Zucc exhibited strong inhibition against nitric oxide production. For the inhibition of xanthine oxidase, the ethyl acetate extracts of Castanea crenata Siebold & Zucc showed strong inhibition activity with 16 ㎍/㎖ of its IC50. The ethyl acetate extracts from Castanopsis sieboldii (Makino) Hatus showed strong superoxide scavenging effect with 7 ㎍/㎖ of its IC50. The hydroxyl radical scavenging activity of butanol extract of Castanopsis sieboldii (Makino) Hatus was 76%. Therefore, with more researches on purification and identification of active compounds, plants studied are expected to be natural sources for the functional food/cosmeceuticals with anti-oxidative properties.

The study of oligopepetide synthesis and biological activity (올리고 펩타이드 유도체의 합성과 생리활성에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we synthesized Oligo Peptide (Lys-Val-Ala-Arg-Pro: KVARP) and peptide derivatives using Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis(SPPS). KVARP was commonly known to improve whitening of skin. We measured bio-activity of the synthesized compounds. The whitening effect was measured in tyrosinase inhibition and the result showed to be highly effective with 93% inhibition rate at $5000{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ of Geranic-KVARP, on the other hand the IC50 value was $68{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. The wrinkle-reducing effect was measured by elastase inhibition at a concentration of 63% at $400{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ of Salicylic-KVARP, and the IC50 value was $253{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. In the DPPH assay, Caffeic-KVARP showed more than 95% antioxidant activity at $400{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ with high concentration and IC50 value was $31{\mu}g/m{\ell}$. The anti-inflammatory effect of Nitric Oxide inhibition was 67% at $400{\mu}g/m{\ell}$ of Lipoic-KVARP. Therefore, the four types of KVARP derivative that were synthesized from various experiments has shown that it could have potential to be used to develop new medicines, cosmetics as well as in various industries.

  • 세계 정보통신산업의 최근 큰 변화가 있었는데, 무역정책측면에서는 미국의 종합무역법확정 및 발효, 지역주의의 확대가 특징적으로 나타났으며 기술개발측면은 신기술 개발촉진, 국제간 생산 이전가속, 지적소유권 문제의 확산, 그리고 국제조직측면으로는 전기통신의 표준화, 신기술의 국제적 표준화, 국제 ISDN서비스 논의의 진전등이 환경변화 요인으로 지적되고 있다. 정보통신산업의 산업별 성장은 전체적으로 1987년이후 증가속도가 둔화되고 있으며, 특히 통신기기와 컴퓨터분야의 성장율이 저하되고 있다. 그러나 부품산업은 IC와 반도체의 수요확대에 힘입어 평균수준을 기록하고 있다. 국가별로 볼때 특징적인 것은 미국, 일본, 유럽 등 주요 선진국들에 비해 한국, 대만 등 신흥 공업국들의 성장속도가 빠르게 진행되고 있으며 시장점유율도 두드러지게 확대되고 있는 것으로 분석되었다.
