Thc effect of light and phylohormonc on the belalaln synthesis was tested using the suspension culture of a rod(bclalaln produulng) cell line from Phytolacca esculenta V. Houtte. Betalain synthesis of rod-cell 1ine was strongly dependent on the irradiation of blue light, but induced by hormone, IAA and/or kinetin, in dark conditions. In a light condition, however, 2 mg/l of IAA increased the betalain content about 30% (per gram fresh weight), whereas more than 0.5mg/l of kinetin remarkably decreased. The hairy root derived from the same plant was also observed for the blue light-dependent pigmentation in the root-tips. When the hairy root grown in dark was transferred to the light condition, the accumulation of betalain was initiated after 12hours. Such pigmentation was completely inhabited by addition of a protein synthesis inhibitor.

본 논문은 클라우드 컴퓨팅 기술 동향에 대한 분석서로 관련 기술과 주요 서비스 내용을 소개한다. 2006년 클라우드 컴퓨팅이란 용어가 처음 생겨난 이래, 2008년 글로벌 IT 기업 CEO들이 잇달아 차기 비즈니스의 핵심 기술로 클라우드 컴퓨팅을 지목한 이후, 전세계가 클라우드 컴퓨팅에 대한 관심이 집중되고 있다. 이에 클라우드 컴퓨팅의 대표 서비스 형태인 IaaS, PaaS, SaaS 서비스에 대한 개념을 설명하고, 각 서비스별 대표 기업들의 기술 동향을 살펴본다. IaaS 서비스에 대해서는 아마존의 EC2와 S3 서비스를, PaaS 서비스에 대한 Google의 AppEngine을, SaaS 서비스로 세일즈포스닷컴의 세일즈포스 서비스를 대표 기술로 소개하고 클라우드 컴퓨팅을 구성하기 위한 기술적인 요소들을 간략하게 언급하였다.

Hypocotyl segments of shade-grown soybean sprouts(var. Kumdo) were floated in solutions of various substances at physiological levels and grown for either 24 hours at 28$^{\circ}C$ or 72 hours at $25^{\circ}C$. Increased length of the segments beyond 20mm (the original length) was obtained as a measure of the present studies. At the room temperature, Ca and DNP strongly inhibited elongation of the hypocotyl segments, whereas K, IAA, GA and EDTA in general promoted it. There were, however, no such differences in the effects at relatiely low temperature. This indicated that the elongation process not only involves stretching of wall materials, but also does synthesis of the materials. Ca was found to be antagonistic to the promotive action of GA in the elongation, and the IAA action involves metabolic energy. EDTA seemed to act as a widely known chelator removing Ca already existed in the hypocotyl tissue, thus shwoed a promotion in the elongation.

This study was carried out to investigate the optimum medium and concentrations of growth regulators for induction of multiple shoot by meristem culture of floe otorefcenf Mill. MS medium supple-mented with 3${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ TDZ was effective for induction of multiple shoot. Shoot multiplication was more ef-fective when 2mg/1 BA combined with 0.Img/1 IAA than when only BA were treated on medium. Halfstrength of MS medium supplemented with 2mg/L IAA was effective for rooting of shoots regenerated.When plantlets regenerated from meristem culture were transferred to pot, survival rate of plantletswas 80% on perlite and was 95% on vermiculite, respectively.

In maize coleoptile segments where auxin transport capacity decreases with time following excision, susceptability of the tissue to transport inhibitors such as N-1-naphthylphthalamic acid (NPA), 3,4,5-triiodobenzoic acid (TIBA) or high concentrations of IAA was found to be rather increased. A time-dependent increase in the sensitivity to NPA can be postulated since the dose-response curve for NPA was shifted in the‘aged’tissue to the left (i.e. lower concentration). Preincubation of the tissue at a low temperature abolished the time-dependent sensitivity change, suggesting that cellular metabolism could be involved. The NPA-sensitive state was also brought about by calcium depletion of the tissue, which can be partially reversed by addition of calcium. Presence of exogenous IAA in the preincubation medium kept the auxin transport system from decay, implicating auxin as an endogenous controlling factor. Results of our experiments indicate a reversible, time-dependent changes of auxin transport system in which transport capacity and sensitivity to NPA are tightly coupled. Changes in the sensitivity to NPA were also seen in auxin action as well.

This work addresses the development of the astronomical observatory all through history, from an architectural point of view, as a building in relation to the observing instruments and their functioning as a heterogeneous work center. We focused on 32 observatories (in the period 1259-2007) and carefully analyzed the architectures. Considering the impact of the construction itself or its facilities on the results of the research (thermal or structural stability, poor weather protection, turbulence, etc.), there is little attention paid to theories or studies of the architectural or construction aspects of the observatories. Therefore, this work aims to present a theoretical-critical contribution that, at least, invites the reflection of those involved in the development of astronomical observatories in the future.

Surgical management of interrupted aortic arch (IAA) with systemic outflow tract obstruction is clearly a challenge. If both ventricles are adequate, the Yasui operation is a useful option. Otherwise, a staged approach through initial hybrid palliation and delayed biventricular repair, tailored to the degree of obstructed outflow, serves to avoid a high-risk neonatal procedure. Herein, we present a patient with IAA and severe systemic outflow tract obstruction whose treatment involved hybrid palliation, followed by a Yasui operation.

근래 인터넷을 통해 IT 자원을 제공하는 클라우드 컴퓨팅이 중요한 이슈로 부각되고 있다. 이러한 클라우드 컴퓨팅이 신뢰성 있는 서비스로 자리잡기 위해서는 보안 문제가 가장 먼저 해결되어야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 먼저 클라우드 컴퓨팅과 암호화의 기본 개념에 대해 알아본 뒤에 신뢰성 향상을 위해 주파수 도약을 응용한 보안 시스템을 제안하였다. 주파수 도약을 응용한 암호화 방법으로 서버의 부담을 줄이고 확장성을 제공하여 클라우드 서비스에 적합한 데이터 베이스 암호화 모델을 제안하였다.
