Background: Most nasal bone fractures are corrected using non-invasive methods. Often, patients are dissatisfied with surgical outcomes following such closed approach. In this study, we compare surgical outcomes following blind closed reduction to that of ultrasound-guided reduction. Methods: A single-institutional prospective study was performed for all nasal fracture patients (n=28) presenting between May 2013 and November 2013. Upon research consent, patients were randomly assigned to either the control group (n=14, blind reduction) or the experimental group (n=14, ultrasound-guided reduction). Surgical outcomes were evaluated using preoperative and 3-month postoperative X-ray images by two independent surgeons. Patient satisfaction was evaluated using a questionnaire survey. Results: The experimental group consisted of 4 patients with Plane I fracture and 10 patients with Plane II fracture. The control group consisted of 3 patients with Plane I fracture and 11 patients with Plane II fracture. The mean surgical outcomes score and the mean patient dissatisfaction score were found not to differ between the experimental and the control group in Plane I fracture (p=0.755, 0.578, respectively). In a subgroup analysis consisting of Plane II fractures only, surgeons graded outcomes for ultrasound-guided reduction higher than that for the control group (p=0.007). Likewise, among the Plane II fracture patients, those who underwent ultrasound-guided reduction were less dissatisfied than those who underwent blind reduction (p=0.043). Conclusion: Our study result suggests that ultrasound-guided closed reduction is superior to blind closed reduction in those patients with Plane II nasal fractures.

Pickling inhibitors can be used to form an adsorbed layer on the metal surface to hinder the discharge of H^+$ and dissolution of metal ions. Nitrogen-containing inhibitors were selected as corrosion inhibitors for mild steel (MS) in pickling acid process. In this study, the addition of inhibitor, the pickling temperatures and the pickling times were the parameters to investigate the effects on the inhibition efficiency (IE) for MS by using weight loss measurement. Preliminary results show that the IE increased with the increase in pickling time from 10 minutes to 60 minutes, and the IE also increased with the increase in temperature at room temperature and $40^{\circ}C$. At the higher temperature. the IE values are higher and almost independent with the pickling time. Furthermore, the potentiodynamic polarization, open circuit corrosion potential-time and corrosion current-time studies show that nitorgen-containing inhibitor behaves predominantly as cathodic polarization. The roughness test and SEM investigation are also studied in this paper.

I studied some important medical liter atures in order to examine the cause of Aphasia and found out some facts as follows : 1. Hwang Je Nae Kgong(黃帝內經) is more referred exogenous causes of disease of Aphasia than endogenous causes of disease. 2. Among many causes of Aphasia, exogenous causes of disease was cinsidered to be most common in Soh Shi Je Byong Won Hu chong Rhon(巢氏諸病源喉總論), which has had a wide influence down the ages. 3. Chon Keum Yo Bang(千金要方), Chi Tae Bhi Yo(外臺秘要), Tae Pyong Song Hye Bang(太平聖惠方), Song Je Chong Rok(聖濟總綠). Bu In Yang Bang(婦人良方) and so forth had been quoted from Hwang Je Nae Kyong and Soh Shi Je Byong Won Hu Chong Ron(巢氏諸病源喉總論). 4. In the ming dynasty had been quoted non-exo-endogenous causes of disease and the Kinds of Aphasia and prescription. 5. In the Choeun dynasty and the Ching dynasty, exogenous causes of disease was confined to the quotation of the books referred to above as well, but endogenous causes of disease was developed. 6. Today is refered kidney and Aphasia. The cause of Aphasia obtained was as follows. The exogenous cause of disease is wind, wind and cold, wind and heat. The endogenous cause of disease is pregnancy, heart block of postpartum, weakness of heart and kidney, impairment of seven modes of emotions, stagnation of phlegm and phlegm-fire, hemorrhage. The non exo-endogenous causes of disease is sing ballads and call out.

The purpose of this study is to identify the effect on 5 chronic insomnia patients according to the oriental medical treatment and sleep restriction therapy. These patients were treated with Sa-Am acupunture therapy(瞻正格), Ondam-tang, sleep restriction therapy and evaluated about comfort and improvement after therapy. The result of this research showed that all patients were satisfied with improvement of insomnia subjectively. I considered that chronic insomnia can be improved by oriental medical treatment with sleep restriction therapy and continuous research must be accumulated subsequently.

We study the amorphous In-Ga-Zn-O thin-film transistors (TFTs) properties under monochromatic illumination ($\lambda=420nm$) with different intensity. TFT off-state drain current ($I_{DS_off}$) was found to increase with the light intensity while field effect mobility ($\mu_{eff}$) is almost unchanged; only small change was observed for sub-threshold swing (S). Due to photo-generated charge trapping, a negative threshold voltage ($V_{th}$) shift is also observed. The photofield-effect analysis suggests a highly efficient UV photocurrent conversion in a-IGZO TFT. Finally, a-IGZO mid-gap density-of-states (DOS) was extracted and is more than an order lower than reported value for a-Si:H, which can explain a good switching properties of the a-IGZO TFTs.

20th century, beginning of modern, the style of art and design, separated reasonable and sensitive code. Art form including cubism, constructivism, futurism and different form including fauvism, expressionism, surrealism and abstract expressionism coexist two code in early modern. But the style of design was separated each period with geometric and organic form, reasonable and sensitive code. Replacement timing on two design style was the transition period of the production-oriented step to the sale-oriented step in marketing. In early stage modern it was stable production-oriented step. Geometric style include G. Rietvevld (Red and Blue chair), M. Breuer (Wassily chair), Fanizon and Martinelli (I-Ching) was simple and functional, received the absolute support. An aggressive demand generation and sales promotion for the design change was needed so that excess supply in the market with a stable production. In sale-oriented step for sales promotion in mid modernism, it was accepted transitions to the sensual organic volume with elegant and sleek style include C. Eames (LCW chair), V. Panton (Panton chair) and C. Mollino (Arabesco Tea table).

This paper proposes a novel high-efficiency high-step-up interleaved converter with a voltage multiplier, which is suitable for electric vehicle power management applications. The proposed interleaved converter is capable of achieving high step-up conversion by employing a voltage-multiplier circuit. The proposed converter lowers the input-current ripple, which can extend the input source's lifetime, and reduces the voltage stress on the main switches. Hence, large voltage spikes across the main switches are alleviated and the efficiency is improved. Finally, a prototype circuit with an input voltage of 24 V, an output voltage of 380 V, and an output rated power of 1 kW is implemented and tested to demonstrate the functionality of the proposed converter. Moreover, satisfying experimental results are obtained and discussed in this paper. The measured full-load efficiency is 95.2%, and the highest measured efficiency of the proposed converter is 96.3%.

The ratio of roles, involving characters created by 2D or 3D Graphic Technology, has risen within games, recent animations, movies and the educational sector. However, the "monster character" appears mainly in "Shanghai Ching" and Greek and Roman mythology. To receive worldwide accolade, it is time that we should use our games, movies and animations to present the history and spirit of Korea. I researched Korean myths so as to understand the characteristics a "Korean monster" would need to portray. This also allowed me to visualise the monster and realize the necessary manufacturing processes involved.

As spine surgery flourished in Taiwan and neurosurgeons became more involved in spine surgery towards the end of the 20th century, the Taiwan Neurosurgical Spine Society (TNSS), earlier named the Taiwan Neurospinal Society, was established on March 11, 2001. As its main founder, Dr. Chun-I Huang was elected as the first president of the TNSS. The goals of the TNSS were to promote research, to hold academic seminars, to participate in international conferences, and to exchange clinical experiences. The mission of the TNSS was successful, and the profession of spine surgery in Taiwan advanced during the first decade of the 21st century, culminating in the TNSS joining ASIA SPINE in 2010. Since its establishment, the TNSS has always been supportive of collaboration and communication with the Korean Spinal Neurosurgery Society and the Neurospinal Society of Japan. Through periodical meetings, supported by the TNSS, surgeons worldwide have enjoyed a platform of sharing and mutual learning. To further promote academic research, the TNSS has officially supported the journal Neurospine since 2018. With extensive efforts from local and international surgeons, the TNSS will continue to adhere to its mission and to advance the profession of spine surgery.

OObjectives : This paper aims to document the journal's history by researching academic achievements of a retiring faculty member and his contribution to the academy. Methods : To expand the boundaries of medical humanities and sociology within the Colleges of Korean Medicine, the methodology for taking oral history was followed in investigating the faculty member's scholarly and academic achievements, which will contribute to the preservation of the academy's history for years to come. Results : Yoon taught subjects such as Medical Chinese, Medical Classics, Classical Chinese, Reading Classical Texts, Medical Philosophy, Medical I-Ching at the University, while vigorously studying basic Korean Medical fields such as the Huangdineijing and the Five Circuits and Six Qi Theory. He also pushed for international communication and implemented the overseas studying program for students and faculty. At the academy, he stabilized the organization's finances, strengthened the journal's status, and built the foundation for the standardization of Medical Classics education by publishing a common textbook. Conclusions : Yoon's various achievements were made possible by other members of the organization, which was in reciprocation to Yoon's effort to bring the members together to form cooperative relationships.
