The Relationship Between Lifestyle in Early Recollections and Life Position of Adolescence (청소년의 초기기억에 나타난 생활양식과 인생태도와의 관계)

  • This study aimed to examine the relationship between lifestyle in early recollections and life position of adolescence. The data was collected from 409(male 201, female 208) middle school students. To analyze the data, factor analysis, Pearson correlation coefficient, MANOVA and multiple regression were used. The major results of this study were as follows: First, it was proved that the correlation coefficient of those variables between lifestyle and life position were statistically significant. In particular, to BSI & WR were positively associated with I+ & U+, while GA & BC were positively associated with I- & U-. Second, U- had greatest influence on GA, I+ & U+ had greatest influence on WR, I- had greatest influence on BC. Based on the finding results, discussion and implication for further research were suggested.

A STUDY ON BONE-CONTACT TO INTER-SEGMENTAL LENGTH RATIO OF RIGID FIXATION SCREWS USED IN BSSRO FOR MANDIBULAR SETBACK (하악지 시상절단술시 견고 고정 나사의 골편간/골내 길이 및 비율에 대한 연구)

  • Objective: To evaluate the ratio between bone-contact length and inter-segmental length of the rigid fixation screw used in bilateral sagittal split ramus osteotomy (BSSRO) for mandibular setback. Material and Methods: Records of 40 patients with Class III malocclusion were selected. 20 of them had BSSRO, while the other 20 had BSSRO with maxillary LeFort I osteotomy. All of the patients had three noncompressive bicortical screws inserted at the gonial angle through transcutaneous approach. Two screws were inserted antero-posteriorly above inferior alveolar nerve and one screw was inserted below. The lengths of bone-contact and that of inter-segmental part were measured using cone-beam computed tomography. Ratio between these two measured lengths was calculated. Results: Both bone-contact and inter-segmental lengths were longer in BSSRO group than in BSSRO with maxillary LeFort I osteotomy group. Ratio of bone-contact to inter-segmental length was lower in BSSRO group than in BSSRO with Lefort I group. Both bone-contact and inter-segmental lengths were longer at the antero-superior position than at the inferior position. However, their ratio showed little difference. Conclusion: This study suggest that stability of screws in BSSRO group was greater than in BSSRO with Lefort I group. Stability of screws at the antero-superior position was greater than at the inferior position. Ratio of bone-contact to inter-segmental lengths was 0.2 in average.

ALGORITHM DEVELOPMENT FOR POSITION CORRECTIONS OF FIMS DATA (FIMS 관측 자료의 위치보정 알고리즘 개발)

  • The FIMS(Far-ultraviolet IMaging Spectrograph), the main payload onboard the first Korean Science Technology SATellite, STSAT-1, has performed various astronomical observations, including the Cygnus Loop, Vela supernova remnants, LMC(Large Magellanic Cloud), since its launch on September 2003. It has been found that the attitude information provided by spacecraft bus system has the errors of more than about 10-15 arcmins due to the time offset problem and errors in attitude knowledge. We develop an algorithm for correction of position errors in FIMS data. The aspect for the FIMS data is determined by comparing the positions of observed bright stars with the Tycho-II and TD-1 catalogs. The position errors of the bright stars along the scanning (${\gamma}$) and spatial (${\delta}$) directions were considered as functions of ${\delta}$, ignoring errors in position angle. The corrected positions of the bright stars coincided very well to their Tycho-II and TD-I positions. The correction algorithm is essential for the FIMS data analysis, and is being used for the FIMS data analysis.

Effects of Two Different Joint Mobilization Positions on Neck Pain, Function and Treatment Satisfaction in Patient with Acute Mechanical Neck Pain (급성 역학적 경부 통증 환자에서 관절가동술적용 자세가 경부 통증과 기능과 치료만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of the present study was to apply joint mobilization in a sitting position and in a prone position to patients with acute mechanical neck pain and compare the immediate treatment effects in these two positions. METHODS: After the baseline was assessed, 46 patients were randomly assigned to two groups: experimental group I ($n_1=23$) for joint mobilization in the sitting position and experimental group II ($n_2=23$) for joint mobilization in the prone position at the symptomatic cervical level. The patients in both groups received treatment by unilateral posterior-anterior gliding for 30 seconds per trial, 10 trials per session, for a total of 5 minutes, and two trials of 10 active extending motions with distraction per trial. RESULTS: In the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, all the pain and physical function variables were significantly improved after intervention in both groups (p<.05). In the Mann-Whitney U test, which compared the differences before and after the intervention between the two groups, experimental group I showed significant improvement over experimental group II in resting pain (p<.01), satisfaction with the treatment (p=.01), left rotation (p<.01) and CCFE (p<.01). In the analysis of covariance results, experimental group I showed significant improvement over experimental group II in the most painful motion pain (p<.01) and the most painful quadrant motion pain (p<.01). CONCLUSION: These outcomes suggest that joint mobilization should be applied in sitting positions for patients with acute mechanical neck pain that feel pain during sustained positions, extension or rotation.

  • The ultra precision linear stage is an essential device in the fields of MEMS and Bio technology. A piezo electric motor is widely used for its better linear characteristics, faster response time, and smaller size than conventional electro-magnetic actuator. We develop a new inchworm type motor to implement an actuator-integrated a long stroke linear stage which can move fast. To implement a servo system, we use a heterodyne interferometer as a position sensor, and we propose a new measurement technique using I/Q demodulator, and we propose a counting method to measure the position of fast moving object with low cost circuitry. The characteristics of the actuator and servo system are evaluated by measuring its displacement with a commercial laser interferometer.

  • In this paper, a brief discussion on I-PD position controller design for step motor drive is presented. The proposed method mainly focuses on the robustness property of the controller, which is very important for this type of system in which the variation of external load affects plant parameters. It is considered in this paper that two types of controller design methods namely; Coefficient Diagram Method (CDM), and arbitrary Pole Assignment Method (PAM) are treated and compared them. The control plant chosen for our study is a SM inherently is comprised of some non-linear elements. A the scope of the design method is limited to only linear time invariant systems, the SM modeling is approximated to linear system.

  • MPEG-I Visual group is actively working on enhancing immersive experiences with up to six degree of freedom (6DoF). In virtual space of 3DoF+, which is defined as an extension of 360 video with limited changes of the view position in a sitting position, looking at the scene from another viewpoint (another position in space) requires rendering additional viewpoints using multiple videos taken at the different locations at the same time. In the MPEG-I Visual workgroup, methods of efficient coding and transmission of 3DoF+ video are being studied, and they released Test Model for Immersive Media (TMIV) recently. This paper presents the enhanced clustering method which can pack the patches into atlas efficiently in TMIV. The experimental results show that the proposed method achieves significant BD-rate reduction in terms of various end-to-end evaluation methods.

Quantitative Analysis of Protein-RNA Interaction in A Class I tRNA Synthetase by Saturation Mutagenesis

  • E. coli methionyl-tRNA synthetase is one of the class I tRNA synthetases. The Tryptophane residue at the position 461 located in the C-terminal domain of the enzyme is a key amino acid for the interaction with the anticodon of $tRNA^{Met}$. W461 was replaced with other amino acids to determine the chemical requirement for the interaction with the anticodon of $tRNA^{Met}$. Saturation mutagenesis at the position 461 generated a total of 12 substitution mutants of methionyl-tRNA synthetase. All the mutants showed the same in vivo stability as the wild-type enzyme, suggesting that the amino acid substitutions did not cause severe conformational change of the protein The mutants containing tyrosine, phenylalanine, histidine and cysteine substitutions showed in vivo activity while all the other mutants did not. The comparison of the in vitro aminoacylation activities of these mutants showed that aromatic ring structure, Van der Waals volume and hydrogen bond potential of the amino acid residue at the position 461 are the major determinants for the interaction with the anticodon of $tRNA^{Met}$.

  • So far, this report is written by knowledge and standard through several reference drawing and experienced contents with drawing hemming die. The contents about actual design is so huge that I will write about it next time. Timing chart is important to hemming die because of link position and numbers. Timing chart need a very much design time because link number and position have to applied for each case. In this paper developed an automatic timing chart and link position by relation and Pro/Program of Pro/Engineer. The method used relation rule of design parameter for timing chart. In the future, I believe that simple easy to correct and reasonable price hemming die will be producted.
