In this paper, we study some dynamical properties of a weakly almost periodic flow. In particular we get, in a weakly almost periodic flow (X,T), the groups I and A(I) of all automorphisms of I are isomorphic, where E(X) is the enveloping semigroup of (X,T) and I is the minimal right ideal in E(X).

Antitumor and immunomodulatory activities of an aqueous extract (GF100) of Acanthopanax senticosus was examined. In experimental lung metastasis of colon26-M3.l carcinoma cells, intravenous (i.v.) administration of GF100 2 days before tumor inoculation significantly inhibited lung metastasis in a dose-dependant manner. The i.v. administration of GF100 also exhibited the therapeutic effect on tumor metastasis of colon26-M3.1 cells, when it was injected 1 day after tumor inoculation. In an in vitro cytotoxicity analysis, GF100 enhanced the responsiveness to a mitogen, concanavalin A (ConA), of splenocytes in a dose-dependent manner. (omitted)

This study examined the viability of canine oocytes following storage at 4 or 38$^{\circ}C$ for 5 h. Cumulus intact oocytes were collected from domestic dog following ovariohysterectomy at local veterinary clinics. In Exp I, the oocytes that collected from ovary transport different temperatures (4 or 38$^{\circ}C$) for 5 h, were cultured for (24 or 48 h). Survivability of oocytes judged by morphological appearance and PI (propidium iodide) staining. The survival rates at 4$^{\circ}C$ ovary transport group showed significantly lower than control group (0%; 0/129 vs. 72.9%; 129/177) 48 h after culture (P<0.05). In Exp II, to assess nuclear maturation of control group oocytes (ovary transported at 38$^{\circ}C$) after in vitro cultured for 24, 48 or 96 h. After 24 h and 48 h of culture, the metaphase I to metaphase II stages (MI to MII) was 8.3% (6/72) and 8.9% (9/101), and which was not increased at 96h (9.5%; 8/84). These results show that canine oocytes remarkably sensitive to low temperature and the percentage of oocytes reaching MI to MII did not increase 96 h after culture.

Benign monomelic amyotrophy(BMA) is an uncommon cause of progressive mildly disabling atrophy and weakness of a limb. It predominantly affects the distal upper limb of young men. I present two men with BMA of the lower extremities. Although the disorder seemed clinically confined to a arm or leg, I confirmed by electromyography evidence of denervation in the other extremities. I reviewed the literatures and discuss the differential diagnosis. BMA is a diagnosis of exclusion that requires consideration in men with unilateral arm or leg atrophy and weakness.
