This system consists of supervisory control part and digital measuring are protection units. RS-485 network connects the units to supervisory control part.   • 1.52" $130(RGB){\times}130$ full color PM OLED device with $70\;{\mu}m{\times}210\;{\mu}m$ of sub-pixel pitch was fabricated using shadow mask method for metal cathode deposition. Instead of conventional patterning process to form cathode separator via photolithography, regularly patterned shadow mask was applied to deposit metal cathode in this OLED display. Metal cathode was patterned via 2-step evaporation using shadow mask with shape of rectangular stripe and its alignment margin is $2.5\;{\mu}m$. Technical advantages of this method include reduction of process time according to skipping over photolithographic process for cathode separator and minimizing pixel shrinkage caused by PR cathode separator as well as improving lifetime of OLED device.

  • Hybrid laser welding technology is a good process to reduce a thermal distortion and increase the productivity. However, it requires a high investment and a massive modification of the fabrication line such as a gantry system, milling machine for the edge preparation, high power laser system and weld machine. Therefore the development of an economical laser welding system is a crucial point to apply this system in shipbuilding yard. In this study, a portable hybrid laser welding carriage was developed for I-butt joint without edge milling. It is expected that the carriage type system could reduce investment cost.

  • New driving waveform which can be inferred by analyzing fundamental LC mechanism is suggested. The main idea of the new waveform is the stabilizing LC layer fast in the cell by controlling the middle director of LC layer.   • 소프트웨어 재사용(Software Reuse)은 소프트웨어 생산성을 높이는 방법임에도 불구하고 내장형 소프트웨어 개발 분야에서의 적용은 많은 어려움이 있다. 내장형 소프트웨어는 개발된 소프트웨어의 실행환경이 서로 다르고, 하드웨어 의존성이 높기 때문이다. 국방 분야에서의 내장형 소프트웨어는 보안성이라는 특성상 타 프로젝트의 모범사례를 적용하는 데는 정보 공유의 어려움이 있어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 MIL-STD-498에 기반하여 국방 분야의 내장형 소프트웨어 재사용 프로세스에 관해 연구하고 적용 결과를 제시하였다.

  • The automotive industry plays a significant role in the global economy. One of the reasons is that this industry compasses every aspects of the value chain - from raw materials to design and development, manufacturing, sales and services, and even disposal. Thus, the industry needs significant upfront capital investment and requires years of R&D and market development. As a result, this industry is dominated by a handful of global players and it is not easy for a new entrant to enter this industry. Furthermore, success is even more difficult to achieve. How did Hyundai Motor make it in this tough marketplace? Can it continue against all odds? The CAGR for last 5 years is 12% and it stands at 6th in the world. Compared to other global brands, Hyundai has geographically well-balanced sales portfolio. The quality improvement is outstanding. The brand performance follows these quality and sales improvements. Yet, the global competition is ever intensifying. Now, it is the time to step up once more. The next strategic goal needs fundamental shift toward brand and marketing-focus. In constructing global marketing strategy, Hyundai Motor's vision is "Lifetime partner in mobility and beyond" and its goal is global top 3 brand by year 2015 through modern premium brand image and selling 5 million vehicles. The target brand positioning of Hyundai Motor is the leading position in premium dimension and stylish/modern dimension. The global brand strategy framework is based on the brand direction of "Modern Premium" and is designed to deliver core brand identity (i.e., Simple, Creative, Caring) to customers. In order to manage brand performance, Hyundai's marketing platformalso includes marketing performance management, brand performance management, and market driven organization. From this diagnosis, Hyundai Motor is well posed to build a strong brand. Nevertheless, there are still challenges ahead from consumer, technology, competitor, and macro-environment perspectives. To overcome these threats, the bases of competition for all successful automotive brands are various differentiation factors, including technology, performance, value proposition, or heritage. Hyundai Motor is well prepared so far. However, it is not tested against time yet whether Hyundai can overcome these unforeseeable major threats. Hyundai is trying to find the solution from a strong brand, while believing in "New Thinking. New Possibilities."

  • Machine vision system plays an important role in factory automation. Its many applications are found in automobile manufacturing industries, as an eye for robotic automation system. In this paper, an automobile position measuring vision system(APMVS) applicable to manufacturing line for under body painting of a car is introduced. The APMVS measures position and orientation of the car body to be sealed or painted by the robots. The configuration of the overall robotic sealing/painting system, design and application procedure, and application examples are described.

  • This paper presents recent trends on the on-line monitoring and diagnostic systems for oil-immersed transformers. Specially, our system on YeoSu thermal power plant is introduced for high sensitivity and accuracy of ours. It is combined with communication networks to provide an on-line remote monitoring system. Several alarm criteria are formulated to enable a superimposed monitoring system to perform decisive action. The reasons for monitoring the condition and maintaining the health of electrical apparatus were discussed. The experience at the fields and the criteria for the judgment are also discussed in detail.
