This study is to investigate factors that affect usage change in mobile data service (MDS). In the first, an exploratory study based on 378 survey responses was conducted to learn about important decision factors of MDS usage. It revealed discrepancy between the influencing forces of usage increase and those of usage decrease. Based on the findings from the exploratory study and the two-factor theory, we postulated information quality as the motivator and system quality as the de-motivator (or hygiene) of MDS. Then, a confirmative study was undertaken on their respective role in encouraging and discouraging the usage of mobile data service. A research model was proposed and subsequent hypotheses were empirically tested with partial least square (PLS) based on 478 responses from the users of mobile data service. It was learned that information quality (as a motivator) was positively associated with usage increase in mobile data service, but system quality (as a de-motivator) was not. Also, system quality was negatively associated with usage decrease, but information quality was not. Lastly, their association strength was partially moderated by the type of motivation for using MDS.
Food adulteration and food fraud should not be neglected. The present study aimed to investigate the awareness of adulterated food and its management beliefs and capabilities among teenagers' parents. Data were collected from 425 adolescents' parents having different levels of income and education. The results of factor analysis indicated that adulterated food management beliefs was classified into attitude, necessity, and anxiety. The adulterated food management capability was sub-grouped into hygiene and nutrition, knowledge, citizen action and environmental grasp. The adulterated food management capabilities were significantly different according child's school, education level and monthly income (p<0.05). The attitude factor of adulterated food management beliefs appeared to have a significant (p<0.05) impact on all factors of adulterated food management capabilities, however the necessity factor had a significant (p<0.001) impact only on factor of hygiene and nutrition. The results of the present study suggested that parents need to be aware themselves as well as to teach their children about right food selection and consumption. The findings of the study might be useful in government policy planning regarding the public health issues and dietary education of adolescents and parents.
It is well known that bacterial lipopolysaccharide (LPS) stimulates the prostaglandin (PG) synthesis in various experimental system, but the mechanism and the detailed nature of its action are yet to be understood. Thus, this study was designed to characterize LPS induced PG synthesis in rat alveolar macrophage. Although results were not so much prominent, LPS stimulated PGE2 synthesis in macrophage with short term exposure, and this was thought to be mainly due to the activation of phopholipase A2+ But there was a burst in the PG synthesis 6 hours after the LPS treatment and this was accompanied with the increase of cyclooxygenase activity. This effect was not mediated by tumor necrosis factor (TNF) or platelet activating factor (PAF), and the existence of serum was prerequisite for its action. Growth factors such as epidermal growth factor (EGF) and platelet derived growth factor (PDGF) themselves did not stimulate PG synthesis and the showed stimulatory activities to some extent. Normal rat serum was more effective for the elicitation of the LPS action than growth factors. Thus, considering the amounts of growth fafctors contained in normal serum, it was suggested that another factors like LPS binding protein (LBP) might be involved in the serum effect on LPS action. Conclusively. it was thought that LPS could stimulate PG synthesis through interaction with serum factors such as EGF, PDGF and/or LBP.
This study was performed to find variables which affect oral health care of infants. The subjects were 439 infants and their mothers who live in suburban area. Oral examinations for the infants were conducted and the questionnairs were given to infants' mothers. Toothbrushing frequency, oral hygiene score, the percentage of filled teeth among decayed teeth, and dental treatment experience of infants were used as dependent variable, respectively. Demographic, socio-economic variables and the other variables which might affect oral health care of infants were used as independent variables. Correlation analysis and analysis of variance were used for the independent variables of toothbrushing frequency, oral hygiene score, and the percentage of filled teeth among decayed teeth of infant. Chi-Square and Student's t-test were used for the dependent variables of dental treatment experience of infant. The obtained results were as follows; 1. Toothbrushing frequency of mother and internal locus of oral control of mother were the factors which affect toothbrusing frequency of infants. 2. Oral health belief of mother was the factor which affect oral hygiene score of infants. 3. Age of infant was the factor which affect the percentage of filled teeth among decayed teeth. 4. Age of infant and educational level of infant's mother were the factors which affect the infants' consumption of dental treatment.
The purpose of this study was to measure of dental impact on daily lining among workers. The number of subjects were 1.457 workes. To predict the oral health of workers, we used the measurement of dental impact on daily living. Using methodology was self-questionnaire which included the perceived oral health status, and performance, appearance, pain, eating restriction and discomfort. The associations between the performance factors and perceived oral health status, pain, eating restriction and discomfort, the results were as follows: 1. There were consisted of 48.3% of female. 63.1% of smokers. 92.3% of lower than 30years and 99.4% of graduating high school. 2. Measurement of daily impact on daily living were classified into the following 6 categories. Facter analysis for validity was carried out for corroboration. 3. Association between performance factors and other factors(pain, eating restriction and discomfort) were evaluated by multiple regression was significant(44%, p<0.01).
The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting job stress and relationship between dental hygienists personal characteristics and them. Final purpose of this study provides the basic data of dental hygienists interventions to help dental hygienists' job stress reduction program. Data were drawn from a convenient sample of 401 dental hygienists who were working for dental clinic, general hospitals, and university hospitals in Seoul and Kyungi areas. The results were analyzed with spsswin 10.0 and the conclusion is as follow: 1. General special quality distribution of dental hygienist is 25-59 and respondent who work in the dentist's office by maiden less than was most. 2. The dental hygienists' job stress was 2.68, it indicates considerably high compare to normal another groups. 3. 'By work, feel fatigue' appeared highest by 3.60 in 5 points full marks from item of business amount connection stress. 4. Only business amount connection stress was expose that is significant in relation with job stress and individual character type. 5. Age, dependent's number, faith, character type variable appeared to keep in mind for connection factor which influence in job stress. 6. Job stress connection factor by character type was expose by variable savages significant thing 'that do work year all as dental hygienist' in A type.
Purpose In recent years, mobile payment service users have been rapidly increasing. Previous researchers focused on the mobile usage situation such as the elements of mobile payment service, usage pattern, and user behaviors, and the research that is approached from the viewpoint of the user is still insufficient. The aim of this study is to suggest a acceptance-resistance motivation model of choosing a mobile payment service based on the Herzbergs Two-Factor Theory by investigating users' motivation and hygiene factors. Design/methodology/approach For the purpose, literature reviews on factors of choosing a mobile payment service were conducted and classified motivation and hygiene factors. Two hypotheses were set as follows: Hypothesis I is that motivation factors have a positive impact on the choice of mobile payment service, and Hypothesis II is that hygiene factors have a negative impact on the choice of mobile payment service. To test two hypotheses, this study conducted an online questionnaire survey and a multivariate discriminant analysis. Findings The result found that mobile payment service is more likely to be replaced with mobile by improving convenience, simplicity, and ease of use that affect the acceptance motivation of mobile payment service. This result supported the Hypothesis I but not Hypothesis II and contributed to provide implications for future mobile payment service development and marketing utilization.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the main factors that affect turnover of Dental Hygienists so that it leads to preventing high turnover and long-term service in their position. Data were obtained from 112 dental hygienists who are currently working for dental clinics from September 17th 2007 to October 16th 2007 via questionnaires. For this study, the demographic factors and unique characteristics of Dental Hygienists are considered as well as all the variables of statistic. The results derived from using SPSS 11.0 are as follows: 1. The average of job related factors is 2.55 point, the average of job satisfaction is 2.59 point, the average of salary related factor is 2.24 point and the average of changing their occupation is 2.85 point. 2. The difference between the factors related to age and changing their occupation shows the highest level on job related factors.(pM0.033) in the age between 26 and 30. 3. Dental Hygienists who are in their occupation for 6years to 9 years answer that salary would be the main reason to change their jobs. 4. For married dental hygienists, salary related factor is the main reason to make them change their occupation.(pM0.002)
Objectives: This study aimed to determine the association between the oral health behavior of adolescents, symptoms of awareness and subjective happiness. Methods: This study is the 16th (2020) primitive self-administered survey that is completed using data on youth health behavior 54,948 to finally select people. Acomposite sample analysis was performed using SPSS window program 21.0. A chi-square test was performed tocompare subjective happiness according to the general characteristics of the subjects, oral health behavior, and awareness symptoms. Logistic regression analysis of the subjective happiness factor was the impact on composite samples. Results: Oral health is a subjective factor that affects happiness. Happiness was found to be 1.479 times higher when participants brushed their teeth more than three times a day and 1.175 times higher when they brushed after lunch. However, subjective happiness was 0.901 times lower when the awareness symptoms of pain was experienced, 0.843 times lower when there was tingling and throbbing, and 0.841 times lower when there was gingival pain. Conclusions: It is necessary to develop and guide various activity programs so that youth oral health education and subjective feelings of happiness can be improved to promote oral health.
In previously study, many researchers have showed the infection control level and the knowledge of dental hygienists about dental infection control. But, they not tried to research the reason why hygienists don't keep to the infection control regulation closely. Therefore, this study was intended to highlight the affect factor that the infection control regulation keep in all dental hospitals well. The respondents in this research were the dental hygienists who worked in Incheon or Gyeonggi areas between June 16 and July 5, 2008 and who attended a complementary training program conducted by the Seoul Branch of Korean Dental Hygienists Association in April 2008. A total of 191 questionnaires were distributed to them, and the collected data was analyzed using SPSS WIN 12.0. Cross-tabulation analysis($X^2$), which significance level was 0.05, was applied to the data in order to verify the statistical significance of the survey method. According to replied, the reason why they don't used gloves were an unconvinced (38.9%), don't use by dentist (29.6%) and much expensive (9.3%). The gloves supplied a hygienist were proper in most case, 94.8%, but short in hospital, 12.0%. In order to take a good infection control they needed to change the conscious of dentist (66.5%), and the will of dentist is most important to do good infection control (37.2%). Subsequently, the will of dentist is the most important factor in infection control area and must be changed their mind on the infection control.
