A Study on The Relationship Among Motivation Factor, Hygiene Factor and Job Satisfaction of School Meal Chefs

  • The purpose of this study is to identify relationship among motivation factor, hygiene factor, and job satisfaction of school meal chefs. The respondents included 155 school meal chefs in the survey. Data was analyzed by confirmatory factor analysis and cause-effect analysis among the constructs. After research model testing, the following results was obtained : hygiene factor was influenced directly and positively by the job satisfaction of school meal chefs. But motivation factor was not influenced directly and positively by the job satisfaction of school meal chefs.

치위생과 강의식 수업에서 효과적인 교수행동 (Efficient teaching behavior in lecture-style instruction of dental hygiene)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to examine what teaching behavior would have a good effect on learners in lecture-style instruction in the department of dental hygiene. Methods : The subjects in this study were 650 students who were in the three-year department of dental hygiene at four colleges in Gyeonggi Province and Chungcheong Province. After a survey was conducted, frequency analysis and ANOVA were utilized to analyze the collected data. The findings of the study were as follows. Results : The students put the highest value on knowledge among the factors of teaching behavior irrespective of their academic year, academic standing and learning style, followed by skills and attitude. Out of every subfactor, they set the highest value on a sense of humor regardless of their academic year, academic standing and learning style, and put the lowest value on the attitude factor such as enthusiasm. There were differences among the students in evaluation of the factors of teaching behavior according to academic year, and the students whose academic year was higher set a higher value on the factors of teaching behavior. There were no differences according to their academic standing and learning style. Conclusions : The dental hygiene students viewed the knowledge factor as the effective factor of teaching behavior, and regarded a sense of humor as the best subfactor. Although the attitude factor like enthusiasm is important, it seemed that the students hoped for the kind of instruction that would be delightful, intriguing and clearly convey what to learn.

치위생과 학생들의 강의평가에 관한 인식 조사 (Awareness of class evaluation of dental hygiene students)

  • Objectives : The purpose of the study is to investigate the awareness and influencing factors of class evaluation in dental hygiene students. This study will establish the measures for educational quality improvement and basic data for effective way of education. Methods : A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 968 dental hygiene students in Busan, Gyeongnam, and Ulsan from August 26 to September 6, 2013. SPSS 19.0 was used for statistical analysis. Results : Senior students felt the necessity of class evaluation improvement. In class evaluation items by grade, evaluation entity was the most significant factor. The students answered that teaching sincerity was the most important factor in class evaluation. Conclusions : The students thought that class evaluation depended on the entity and sincerity of the class contents.

병원의 내부마케팅 활동이 간호사의 동기부여에 미치는 영향;Herzberg의 동기-위생요인이론을 기반으로 (An Analysis of Internal Marketing Activities affecting on Nurse's Motivation;Based on Herzberg's Motivation-Hygiene Factor Theory)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to analyze effects of internal marketing activities on nurse's motivation based on the Herzberg's two factor theory. Methods: The subjects of this study were 521 nurses who were working in the 4 general hospitals located in Seoul and Incheon area. The data were collected by self-reporting questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and path analysis. Results: The mean score of nurse's perception of internal marketing was 3 point, and it was similar to previous studies results. In the motivation factors, the most satisfied factor was a responsibility. Advancement was the most unsatisfied factor. In the hygiene factors, the most satisfied factor was a technical supervision. Policy and administration were the most unsatisfied factors. Internal marketing activities affecting on nurse's motivation were different by each motivation-hygiene factors. In an aspect of motivation factors, the statistically significant internal marketing factors were paid-leave, employee welfare and communication, however, in hygiene factors, education, employee welfare and reward. Conclusion: These results will be used to develop a macro or micro internal marketing strategies to enhance nurse's motivation based on motivation factors and hygiene factors.

치위생과 학생들의 임상실습 스트레스 요인 및 대처방식 (Dental hygiene students' stress during clinical practices and stress coping styles)

  • Objectives : In this study, 233 dental hygiene students in Seoul and Gyeonggi areas were surveyed in order to provide the basic data for more effective clinical practice by investigating the stress they experience during the clinical practice and how they cope with stress; Methods : 5 areas in stress factors as environmental factor, interpersonal factor, role and activity, ideal and value, and the amount of BEPSI and 4 areas in their coping methods as problem-oriented, social support, emotion-oriented, and wishful thinking were measured by Liker 5-point scale. Results : 1. The satisfaction level of subjects on their major was the highest as 'generally satisfied (50.6%),' and their satisfaction level of clinical practice was also the highest as 'generally satisfied (32.6%).' 2. The clinical practice stress was 2.76 points on average, and their stress factors were ideal and value (3.18), environmental factor (2.98), role and activity (2,70), the amount of BEPSI (2.55), and interpersonal factor (2.37). And the way how they cope with stress were 3.29 points on average, wishful thinking (3.71), social support (3.36), problem-oriented (3.13), and emotion-oriented (2.95). 3. The clinical practice stress according to clinical training institutions showed significant differences: university dental hospitals and general hospitals (2.83), dental clinics (2.65), and dental hospitals (2.63). 4. The clinical practice stress showed a negative correlation between the satisfaction level of major and the satisfaction level of clinical practice (p<0.01), and the more satisfaction they had in their major and clinical practice, the less stress during the clinical practice. 5. In the correlation between each subordinate factor of the stress in clinical practice and how to cope with it, interpersonal factor and emotion-oriented factor, the amount of BEPSI and wishful thinking showed a positive correlation (p<0.05). Conclusions : In this study, it is necessary to develop clinical practice program that is to increase satisfaction and provide motivation in order to reduce the stress during clinical training.

치과환자의 치과기피요인에 대한 분석 (Analysis of dental avoidance factors of dental patients)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to investigate the factors that prevent dental patients from visiting the dental clinic. Methods: From June 22, 2020 to July 17, 2020, among patients 10 years or older who had visited the dental clinic, 314 individuals who agreed to the study were asked to fill out a self-administered questionnaire. The data were analyzed using the SPSS Statistics 22.0 program, and the significance level was set at 0.05. Results: The dental avoidance factors according to the general characteristics were high in women and housewives, and among the dental-related characteristics, the most common reason for visiting the dental clinic was experiencing pain. The factors influencing anxiety were fear, environment, stimulus, age, and exercise, and the factors influencing the fear were anxiety, stimulus, subjective oral health status, education, and exercise. The factors influencing the stimulus were environmental factors, fear, anxiety, and age, and the factors that influenced environmental factors were stimulus and anxiety. Conclusions: There is a need to develop measures and policies to overcome fear of dental procedures, such as developing a dental experience program and allowing patients to experience dental fear and anxiety in advance.

치과진료 경험자의 치과공포 요인 분석 (Dental fear factor analysis in dental clinic patients)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to analyze the dental fear of dental patients during treatment. Methods : Statistical package PASW 18.0 WIN(USA) was used to analyzed the frequency and percentage of the general characteristics. T-test and one-way ANOVA were used. Results : Females tended to have more fear than male. The first visit to dental clinic was the most important fear factor. Most of the subjects did not receive regular dental checkup because of fear since entering elementary schools. Conclusions : In order to reduce dental fear, comfortable environments may be necessary for treatment.

일부 치위생학과 학생들의 병원실습 만족도와 스트레스 요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Satisfaction and Stress Factors of Clinical Practice for Dental Hygiene Students)

  • 이번 연구는 치위생(학)과 학생들의 임상실습에 대한 만족도와 임상실습 스트레스 요인을 파악하고, 임상실습만족도와 스트레스 요인들 간의 상관관계를 알아보고자 2012년 5월 21일부터 6월 22일까지 병원 임상실습 경험이 있는 치위생(학)과 학생 232명을 대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, SPSS WIN 12.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석한 후 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 스트레스 요인은 학제별로 환경요인, 역할요인, 대인관계요인, 이상과 가치 요인, BEPSI 모든 요인이 4년제보다 3년제에서 높았고(p<0.01), 실습만족도에 따른 스트레스 요인은 불만족일 때 모든 요인이 높았으며, 그 중 환경요인이 가장 높았다(p<0.001). 교육기관에 따라 환경요인은 치과대학병원이 가장 높았고, 대인관계요인과 이상과 가치요인은 치과병원, 역할요인과 BEPSI는 치과의원이 가장 높은 것으로 나타났다(p<0.01). 병원분위기가 나쁠 때 환경요인이 가장 높았고, 역할요인, 대인관계요인, 이상과 가치요인, BEPSI순이었다(p<0.001). 병원실습 스트레스 요인간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과 실습만족도, 환경, 역할, 대인관계, 이상과 가치, BEPSI 간에는 양의 상관관계가 있었고(p<0.01), BEPSI에 가장 큰 영향력을 보이는 스트레스 요인은 대인관계였으며, 환경, 이상과 가치 순으로 나타났다(p<0.001). 임상실습에서 낯선 환경과 대인관계의 부족으로 학생들은 평소보다 스트레스 지수가 더 높을 수 있으므로 학생들이 스트레스에 대해 스스로 잘 대처할 수 있는 능력을 키워주기 위한 체계적인 임상실습 운영방안을 마련해야 할 것으로 생각된다.

치위생학 전공 석사과정 대학원생의 대학원 선택 확신 영향 요인 분석 (A Study on Graduate School Choice Conviction Related in Dental Hygienics)

  • 이 연구는 치위생학과 대학원에 진학한 치과위생사들이 대학원 선택 후에 자신의 대학원 대학원 선택 확신에 미치는 영향을 조사하고자 하였으며 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 일반적 특성과 대학원 선택동기인 외적요인과 내적요인 차이를 분석한 결과 결혼여부에 따른 대학원 특성 지각요인 중 재정접근성요인은 기혼이 높게 나타났으며, 교육프로그램요인에서는 미혼이 높게 나타났다. 월 평균 소득은 재정 접근성요인, 교육프로그램요인 평균 점수를 높게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 경력이 낮을수록 교육프로그램요인 평균 점수가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 내적요인은 통계적으로 유의한 결과를 나타내지 못하였다. 일반적 특성과 대학원 선택 확신요인 차이를 검증한 결과 미혼일수록 대학원 선택 확신요인 점수가 높았고, 월 평균 소득에 따른 대학원 선택 확신요인과 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 대학원 선택동기 외적요인 중 교육프로그램요인과 장래성요인은 대학원 선택 확신요인에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났지만 내적요인은 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 보았을 때, 치과위생사가 치위생학과 대학원에 진학하고 대학원 확신 선택요인에 가장 중요한 요인은 교육프로그램(교수 명성과 질, 전공프로그램의 질, 교수 학생 관계, 교수학생 비율, 학술활동)요인임을 알 수 있었으며, 장래성(학위 취득 후 진로선택 유리, 소득과 수입에서 유리, 사회 진출, 박사과정 개설) 또한 대학원 선택 확신요인에 필요한 요인이라고 볼 수 있었다. 따라서 치위생학과 대학원은 치위생학과에 진학하고자 하는 치과위생사에게 교육 프로그램의 관련 정보를 제공해야하며, 학문의 발전과 전문가의 영역을 넓힐 수 있는 교육 프로그램을 개발 및 개선시켜야 할 것이다. 또한 이 연구의 결과를 활용하여 치과위생사의 인적자원을 양성함에 있어 치위생학과 대학원에서 이들에 대한 지원 방안을 마련할 수 있을 것이다.

치위생과 신입생들의 직업가치관 유형에 대한 요인분석 (Factor Analysis in the Work Values Types of Freshmen's in the Dental Hygiene Department)

  • 본 연구는 치위생과 학생들의 새로운 직업가치관 유형을 구명하는데 있으며, 3개 대학 치위생과 신입생 280명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였으며, 이 중 242매를 분석하였다. 2차에 걸친 요인분석에 의해 직업가치관을 유형화 하였으며, 이 연구를 통해 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 치위생과 신입생들의 직업가치관 유형은 (1) 지위 (2) 경제적 보상 (3) 사회 기여 (4) 성취 (5) 능력 (6) 직업흥미 등 6개 유형으로 분류할 수 있다. 2. 사회기여, 성취, 능력, 직업흥미 유형은 내재적 가치관으로, 지위와 경제적 보상 유형은 외재적 직업가치관으로 분류할 수 있다. 3. 치위생과 신입생들의 외재적 가치관(4.24점)은 내재적 가치관(3.86점)보다 다소 높게 나타났다. 4. 치위생과 신입생들이 중요하게 생각하는 직업가치관 유형은 경제적 보상(4.39점), 지위(4.09점), 성취(4.07점), 능력(3.98점), 직업흥미(3.91점), 사회기여(3.46점) 순으로 나타났다.
