하이드로폰용 PbTi$O_3$계 세라믹스의 압전특 (Piezoelectric properties ofPbTi$O_3$ system ceramics for hydrophone)

  • In this study, to improve sintering condition, anisotropic properties ( $k_{t}$/ $k_{p}$) of electromechanical coupling coefficient and piezoelectric constant $d_{h}$ and $g_{h}$, Mn $O_{2}$ impurity was added to the (P $b_{0.76}$C $a_{0.24}$)[( $Co_{1}$2/ $W_{1}$2/)$_{0.04}$ $Ti_{0.96}$] $O_{3}$ ceramics for application to hydrophone devices. Electromechanical coupling coefficients of the specimen with 1.5 [mol%] Mn $O_{2}$ sintered at 1150.deg. C were $k_{t}$=49% and $k_{p}$ = O, which exibited the highest value in piezoelectric anisotropic properties (kt/kp). Without relations with sintering temperature, the highest value of hydrostatic piezoelectric constant $d_{h}$ & $g_{h}$ were shown at the specimen with 1.5 [mol%] Mn $O_{2}$. Accordingly, the best addition amount of Mn $O_{2}$ was 1.5 [mol%] and proper sintering temperature was 1150.deg. C. Hydrostatic piezoelectric constant values of $d_{h}$=64.52[10$^{-12}$ C/N], $g_{h}$=35.92[10$^{-3}$ Vm/N] in the above condition were effectiely extended for hydrophone applications.pplications.ons.

  • In this study, PZT/PVDF composites with O-3 phase connectivity were prepared by hot pressing method, and the dielectric and piezoelectric properties as a function of PZT volume fraction were investigated. A modified cubic model was introduced to explain the influence of the PZT volume fraction on the experimentally determined dielectric constant. As A n=0.125, the measured dielectric constant values agreed with the calculated values. It was found that dielectric constant .xi.$_{33}$ and piezoelectric coefficient d$_{33}$ increased with indreasing PZT volume fraction, and hydrostatic piezoelectric figure of merit d/aub h/.g$_{h}$ was improved relative to that of the PZT single phase material.l.l.l.

  • In this study, the piezoelectric ceramics/polymer composite transducers with 1-3 connectivity have been studied. A piezoelectric ceramics PZT prepared by Wet-Dry Combination method was used as a filler in polymer matrix Eccogel. We've got the pulse-echo response for 1-3 type piezc-electric composite transducers in water. It was shown that the transmitting and receiving sensitivity of 1-3 type piezoelectric composite transducers could be improved in comparison with that- of solid PZT transducers. The reason is for that 1-3 type Piezoelectric composites have low dielectric constant and density. There was in a good agreement between the resonant frequencies calculated from one period and observed results on the Ultrasonic Transducer Analyzer. According to these results we could be figured out the distance in water by virture of the pulse-echo response.

  • Generally the piezo-composites have superior hydrostatic response characteristics than PZT ceramics due to both the stress amplification effect in axial direction and stress reduction effects in radial direction. This paper described material properties of a 1-3 type piezo-composite that fabricated with ceramic injection molding (CIM) technology. The electro-mechanical performances of the composite have been analyzed using FEM and the physical properties of the composite have been measured with the vol. % of the PZT ceramics. Based on the results, the $k_t$ increased rapidly as the vol. % of the PZT ceramics increased up to 30 vol. % and saturated the constant value in the above region. Also the experimental results have good agreement with the simulation values of the composite. Finally we developed the composites having high piezoelectric properties than the PZT ceramics with the CIM technology.
