Synthesis, Tautomeric Structure, Dyeing Characteristics, and Antimicrobial Activity of Novel 4-(2-Arylazophenyl)-3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-1-phenyl-2-pyrazolin-5-ones

  • Novel azopyrazolin-5-one dyes 4a-f were synthesized by the regioselective reaction of phenylhydrazine with 2,3,4-chromantrione-3-arylhydrazones 2a-f. The acid dissociation constants $pK_a$ for the series prepared were determined and correlated by the Hammett equation. The results of such correlation together with the spectral data indicated that the studied compounds exist predominantly in the hydrazone keto structure, (D) as the Z-configuration. The dyes were applied to polyester fabrics, affording orange-yellow shades and assessments of their dyeing performance are considered. Further, the compounds 4a-f were screened for their antimicrobial activity against various microorganisms.

Fluorometric Determination of Gastric Acidity with 2-Fluorenecarboxaldehyde Hydrazone

  • Fluorenecarboxaldehyde hydrazone 9FCH)was synthesized as a new fluorescent reagent for the determination of acidity. FCH had no fluorescence in itself, however, it strongly fluoresced under acidic conditions at excitation maximum of 392 nm and emission maximum of 447 nm, respectively. It showed good correlation with pH in the range from pH 0.60 to pH 3.60 in strong acids. As an application, the acidity of gastric juice in rats and humans was determined. In comparision with pH-metry, the acidity measured by the developed method showed generally increased values of about 0.7-1.3 unit and 0.8-1.2 unit in rats and humans, respectively. However, these results had statistically close correlation with those of pH-metry and the correlation coefficients were 0.887 in rats and humans between two methods.

액체 크로마토그래프법에 의한 대기시료중 미량 알데히드류의 정량 (Determination of Trace Aldehydes in Ambient Air by Liquid Chromatography)

  • The purpose on this study is to optimize the chromatographic determination method of trace aldehydes in ambient air. Carbonyl compounds in urban air were trapped at $C_{18}$ DNPH-coated cartridges, and generated hydrazone derivatives were separated by HPLC and detected by UV-vis spectroscopic detector at 360nm. Formaldehyde and acetaldehyde compounds could be isolated from urban(Seoul) air with more than 95% collection efficiency. The analytical detection limits for formaldehyde and acetaldehyde are 0.06pp $b_{v}$, 0.08pp $b_{v}$ for 108 L air samples, respectively. The precision of this method are 3 .sim. 4%(RSD) for mutiple injection of hydrazone standards. Separation of seven dinitrophenylhydrazones could be achieved in appoximately 20 minutes operation time using $C_{18}$ column with apprepriate eluent. The method was applied to the analysis of aldehydes and ketone in Seoul ambient air. The 24-h ambient levels of formaldehyde, acetaldehyde reached up to 6 .sim. 14 and 3 .sim. 8ppbv, respectively. The daily average concentration ratio were 0.60 for acetaldehyde/formaldehyde.yde.

  • N,N'-oxalylbis(2-pyridyl-3'-sulphobenzoyl hydrazone)(OPSH)를 발광시약으로 사용하여 형광광도법으로 Fe(Ⅲ)을 정량하는 방법을 개발하였다. pH 3인 수용액에서 290 nm를 들뜸 파장으로 하여 367 nm에서 Fe(Ⅲ) 착물의 형광세기를 측정하여 정량하였다. Fe(Ⅲ)의 농도가 2000~10ng/ml인 범위에서 정량이 가능하였으며 이 방법을 합성시료 및 수도물의 분석에 적용하였다.

  • The thio, thio acetyl, oxime, and several hydrazone and azine derivatives of the antitumor alkaloid acronycine (1) were prepared. NMR spectroscopy was used to study the configurations around the C=N double bond in these acronycine derivatives. In the hydrazones and azines of acronycine the N-N bond assumes a syn configuration to the $C_6-OCH_3$ group, while the NO bond in the oxime and the N-N bond in noracronycine hydrazone and azines assumes an anti configuration.

  • The effect of 2-hydroxyacetophenone-aroyl hydrazone derivatives on the inhibition of copper corrosion in 3N nitric acid solution at 303 K was investigated by galvanostatic polarization and thermometric techniques. A significant decrease in the cor rosion rate of copper was observed in the presence of the investigated compounds. The corrosion rate was found to depend on the nature and concentrations of the inhibitors. The degree of surface coverage of the adsorbed inhibitors is determined from polarization measurements, and it was found that the results obey the Frumkin adsorption isotherm. The inhibitors acted as mixed-type inhibitors, but the cathode is more polarized. The relative inhibitive efficiency of these compounds has been explained on the basis of structure dependent electron donor properties of the inhibitors and the nature of the metal-inhibitor interaction at the surface. Also, some thermodynamic data for the adsorption process ( ΔGa* and f ) are calculated and discussed.

The Inhibition of C-steel Corrosion in H3PO4 Solution by Some Furfural Hydrazone Derivatives

  • H3SO4(M: 몰농도) 용액에서 탄소강의 부식방지제로 Furfural hydrazone 유도체의 효과를 질량손실법 및 정전류극성법을 사용해 연구하였다. 이들 유도체 존재하에서 탄소강의 부식속도가 급격히 감소함을 관찰하였다. 이 연구로부터 부식방지효율은 부식방지제 농도가 증가함에 따라 증가하였고 I와 SCN을 첨가하면 부식방지효율은 더욱 증가되었다. 질량손실법을 사용해 5×10-6 M의 유도체가 있을 때와 없을 때 30-60oC 사이에서 탄소강 부식에 미치는 온도 효과를 보았다. 부식과정에 대한 활성화에너지(Ea*)와 다른 열역학적 변수들을 계산하였고 이들에 대해 논의하였다. 정전류극성법을 통해 유도체들이 혼합형 방지제로 작용함을 알았고 외부전류를 흘려주었을 때 음극은 더욱 분극되었다. 3M H3SO4 용액에서 탄소강 표면에 이들 유도체들의 흡착은 Frumkin의 흡착등온을 따랐다. 이들 유도체들의 화학구조를 통해 부식방지 메커니즘을 설명하였다.

  • Hydrazone 결합을 지닌 화합물 중 농용으로 사용되는 것은 ferimzone, drazoxolon, metazoxolon 등으로 그 수가 매우 제한되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 hydrazone 결합 및 유사 결합구조인 formamidine, triazene 등의 toxophore로서 작용 여부를 규명하고자 하는 시도의 일환으로 일차적으로 hydrazone계 화합물 중 isoxazolone 유도체를 합성, 살균력을 검정하였다. Ethyl acetoacetate와 hydroxyl amine에서 합성된 isoxazolone에 aromatic diazonium coupling을 통하여 최종 산물을 얻었다. 합성된 16종 화합물들의 항균 활성을 Rhizoctonia solani, Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, Cladosporium cucumerinum, Pythium ultimum에 대하여 검정한 결과, 난균강에 속하는 Pythium ultimum에 강한 활성을 보였으며 이를 공시 균주로, $EC_{50}$을 계산하여 그 활성 정도를 비교하였다. p-methyl, o-fluoro, m-chloro 치환체가 강한 활성을 보였다.

Synthesis and Characterization of a New Photoconducting Poly(siloxane) Having Pendant Diphenylhydrazone for Photorefractive Applications

  • A new photoconducting polymer, diphenyl hydrazone-substituted polysiloxane, was successfully synthesized by the hydrosilylation method and characterized by FT-IR, $^1$H-NMR, and $^{29}$ Si-NMR spectroscopy. The glass transition temperature (T$_{g}$) of the polysiloxane having pendant diphenyl hydrazone was ca. 62 $^{\circ}C$, which enabled a component of a low-T$_{g}$ photorefractive material to be prepared without the addition of any plasticizers. This polysiloxane, with 1 wt% of $C_{60}$ dopant, showed a high photoconductivity (2.8 ${\times}$ 10$^{-12}$ S/cm at 70 V/${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) at 633 nm, which is necessary for fast build-up of the space-charge field. A photorefractive composite was prepared by adding a nonlinear optical chromophore, 2-{3-[2-(dibutylamino)-1-ethenyl]-5,5-dimethyl-2-cyclohexenylidene} malononitrile, into the photoconducting polysiloxane together with $C_{60}$ . This composite shows a large orientation birefringence ($\Delta$n = 2.6 ${\times}$ 10$^{-3}$ at 50 V/${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$) and a high diffraction efficiency of 81 % at an electric field of 40 V /${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$.textrm}{m}$.EX>.

무금속프탈로시아닌 색소계를 이용한 전자사진 감광체의 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Electrophotographic Photoreceptor by Metal free-Phthalocyanine Dye Sensitized System)

  • 본 연구는 무금속프탈로시아닌 색소계를 이용한 전자사진 감광체의 개발에 관한 것이다. 전하발생물질로서는 각종 형태의 무금속프탈로시아닌을 사용했고, 결합제로서는 각종 폴리머를 사용했으며, 전하이동물질로서는 히드라존유도체나 아연착화합물을 사용했다. 전하발생물질로서 사용한 ${\alpha}-$, ${\beta}-$, x형의 프탈로시아닌중에서는 x형의 무금속프탈로시아닌($x-H_2Pc$)의 경우가 가장 좋은 감도를 보였다. 전하발생물질로서는 $x-H_2Pc$를, 전하수송물질로서는 히드라존유도체를 사용했을 때, 다른 감광체들과 비교하여 73.1%의 높은 $1.50lux{\cdot}sec$의 좋은 감도를 보였다.
