유압 블리드-오프 회로의 특성 재검토 및 실험적 동특성 모델링 (Reexamination and Derivation of Empirical Dynamic Model for a Hydraulic Bleed-Off Circuit)

  • Meter-in, meter-out and bleed-off circuits are widely utilized in order to adjust the speed of a hydraulic actuator by using a flow control valve and in order to regulate the pressure of a hydraulic volume by using a simple on-off valve. In these circuits, a relief valve serves either to maintain constant system pressure or to protect the system from over-pressure loading. The relief valve of a bleed-off circuit is the second case frequently undergoing on-off action during operation. It makes the analysis of the pressure control characteristics of the circuit highly difficult. In this paper, steady-state flow rate, pressure, heat loss and efficiency of the three circuits are reexamined and basic experiments far obtaining the characteristics of a pump and relief valve are conducted. Finally, simple empirical first-order dynamic models of decreasing and increasing pressure were separately proposed and verified by comparison with experiment. As the result, the basis for the theoretical analysis of the pressure control characteristics of a bleed-off circuit using a simple on-off valve is established.

  • The hydraulic system for discharging compressed gas is composed of compressor tank, proportional flow control servo valve, expulsion spool valve and discharging tube. Purpose of this study is to control of expulsion spool valve. First, we analyzed the hydraulic system. The flow control servo valve is modeled as a 2nd order transfer function and friction force of the expulsion spool valve is modeled as nonlinear model with stribeck effect. However, it is difficult to include the flow reaction force in modeling. So, we exchanged from the simplified flow reaction force of the compressed gas affection into the flow analysis code written in FORTRAN code. Our simulation of the oil pressure system for discharging gas used MATLAB/Simulink. So, we realized 'Level -2 S-Function Fortran' to cooperate for MATLAB/Simulink and FORTRAN code. PD controller is selected to control in this system. Simulation results show that with given conditions the controllers give a good tracking performance.

  • Abstract: In the oil hydraulic piston pumps the clearance between the valve plate and cylinder block plays an important role for volumetric and overall efficiency. Thus, adequate lubricational fluid film is needed for the interface. In this study, fluid film thickness is measured by a gap sensor and a slip ring under operational conditions to observe the behavior of the lubrication mechanism in detail. To investigate the effect according to the valve plate types in view of the fluid film, three different types were designed. Leakage flow rate and shaft torque were also measured to clarify the effect according to the valve plate types. A broad range of experiments were conducted to provide reasonable data on the effect of fluid film. In this experiments two main parameters were found, of which the one is the discharge pressure and the other is valve plate geometry. As a result, we found that the spherical valve plate could get more stable fluid film thickness, maintain good efficiency for high pressure range than the other types.

  • Many research studies have been carried out related to saving energy and environmental pollution in the field of construction machinery. The best solution for reducing the related environmental pollution is to reduce fuel consumption by upgrading the energy efficiency of machinery used in this field. An efficiency upgrade in the field of construction machinery would mean minimizing the pressure loss in hydraulic pipe lines or achieving optimal operating conditions while responding to a load. One way to achieve this is to make an equivalent circuit, like an electrohydrostatic actuator, or to improve the spool type valve using the 4/3 way method. This study deals with an electrohydraulic proportional flow control valve. SimulationX software is used as a simulation tool for analyzing the dynamic characteristics. The analysis results, including the performance and characteristics of design parameters, are discussed and the validity of the theoretical analysis is also evaluated.

비정상 물공급 시나리오를 고려한 상수도관망 최적 밸브위치 결정 (Optimal valve installation of water distribution network considering abnormal water supply scenarios)

  • 상수도 관망 밸브는 평상시 관로의 유향을 변경하는 역할을 하지만, 관로 파손, 수질 문제 등 사고 발생 시 해당 구역을 격리하는데에도 이용된다. 밸브조작에 의한 구역 단수는 주변 지역의 압력 및 물 공급 성능 저하를 유발한다. 최근 안정적인 상수도 관망 물 공급을 위협하는 사고가 다양하고 빈번하게 발생하고 있으며, 이에 따라 다양한 시나리오를 고려하여 밸브 위치 결정을 하는 것이 필요하다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 밸브의 개수, 구역격리 시 물 부족량, 수리학적 거리 인자(Hydraulic Geodesic Index, HGI)를 통합한 목적함수를 개발하고, 다양한 물 부족 시나리오에 기반한 밸브 최적 위치 결정 방법론을 제안한다. 제안한 방법론은 페스카라 관망에 적용되었으며, 시나리오별로 도출된 최적 밸브 설계안의 차이점을 분석하였다. 최적 밸브 위치 탐색 과정 중 수행된 관망 수리해석은 압력 기반(Pressure Driven Analysis, PDA)으로 수행하였다. 개발된 방법론으로 도출한 최적 밸브 설계안은 기존 설계안 대비 밸브 개수가 최대 19개나 적었고, 세그먼트 격리 시 물 공급 부족량 또한 상대적으로 작았다. 수원 수두가 낮은 시나리오를 고려할수록 더 많은 밸브가 설치되었는데, 밸브 추가 설치에 따른 비용증가는 다양한 시나리오에서 물 공급 성능 향상으로 이어짐을 확인하였다. 또한, 세그먼트 격리 상황 모의를 압력 및 유량 기반 해석으로 수행한 결과를 비교하여, 밸브 최적 위치 설계 수행 시 압력 기반 해석이 필요함을 확인하였다.

  • A counter balance valve is used as one part of hydraulic motor brake system. The function of this valve is to protect over-run or free falling of inertia load. But occasionally the brake system with counter balance valve makes some undesirable problems such as pressure surges or vibrations. In this study, for the purpose of easy estimation about dynamic characteristics of hydraulic system including counter balance valve, precise formulation describing fluid dynamics and valve dynamics under various boundary conditions were made. Dynamic characteristics were analysed by numerical integration using Runge-Kutta method, because the equations in this circuit with counter balance valve contain various nonlinear terms. Propriety of this analysis method is verified by experiment. For the purpose of obtaining fundamental data for preventing instability, this study experimented the effects of the spool taper, spring constant, cylindrical choke. And we developed double acting brake system integrated counter balance valve.

Controller Design for a Nozzle-flapper Type Servo Valve with Electric Position Sensor

  • The control performance of hydraulic systems is basically influenced by the performance of electrohydraulic servo valve incorporated in a hydraulic control system. In this study, a control design was proposed to improve the control performance of a servo valve with a non-contact eddy current type position sensor. A mathematical model for the valve was obtained through an experimental identification process. A PI-D control together with a feedforward (FF) control was applied to the valve. To further improve the dynamic response of the servo valve, an input shaping filter (ISF) was incorporated into the valve control system. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed control system was verified experimentally.

  • Hydrostatic pumps and motors occupy an important position in hydraulic system. There are a lot of researches on characteristics of hydraulic pumps, but not hydraulic motors. So in order to know the characteristics of hydraulic motors we had this research. The purpose of this study is to derive and analyze the theoretical calculation of hydraulic axial piston motor torque and torque ripples. Then, analyzed the differences between torque ripples with dead place and without dead place on the valve plate, and modeling a hydraulic motor with AMESim software. Finally, theoretical calculation of hydraulic motor torque ripples was verified from the viewpoint of simulation.

  • If hydraulic pump controlled by mechanical type regulator has more than one control function, the construction of regulator will be very complicated and control performance falls drastically. It is difficult to have more than one control function for hydraulic pump controlled by electronic type hydraulic valve due to the inconsistency of controllers. This paper proposes a multi-function control technique which controls continuously flow, pressure and power by using EPPR(Electronic Proportional Pressure Reducing) valve in swash plate type axial piston pump. Nonlinear mathematical model is developed from the continuity equation for the pressurized control volume and the torque balance for the swash plate motion. To simplify the model we make the linear state equation by differentiating the nonlinear model. A reaction spring is installed in servo cylinder to secure the stability of the control system. We analyze the stability and disturbance by using the state variable model. Finally, we review the control performances of flow, pressure and power by tests using PID controller.

  • This paper describes of a mathematical and real experimental analysis for a walking robot which uses servo valve driven hydraulic actuator. Recently, many researchers are developing a walking robot based on hydraulic systems for the difficult and dangerous missions such as walking in the rough terrain and carrying a heavy load. In order to design and control a walking robot, the characteristics of the hydraulic actuators in the joint through the view point of walking such as controllability and backdrivability must be analyzed. A general mathematical model was used for analysis and proceeds to position and pressure changes characteristic of the input and backdrivability experiment. The result shows the actuator is a velocity source, had a high impedance, the output stiffness is high in contact with the rigid external force. So stand above the controller and instruments that complement the design characteristics can be seen the need to apply a hydraulic actuator in walking robot.
