  • This paper presents a synchronizing adaptive feedforward control for clamping servomechanism of injection molding machines. Based on MBS, virtual design model has been developed for a direct forcing clamping mechanism. A synchronizing controller is designed and combined with adaptive feedforward control to accommodate mismatches between the real plant and the linear plant model used. From tracking control simulations, it is shown that significant reduction in position tracking error is achieved through the use of proposed control scheme.

  • It was used boundary element method(BEM) and analysed axisymmetric problem to solve hydraulic cylinder for large vessel acting uniform internal pressure(25N/m super(2)) within elastic limit. This paper was utilized the carbon steel tubes for machine structural purposed model, inner radius was 150mm and outer radius was 250mm, axial length was semi-infinite and the isoparametric element was used. The important results obtained in this study were summarized as follows. Radial, tangential and shearing stress occured the maximum stresses(48, -20 and 34MPa) at the inner radius and the minimum stresses(32, -4 and 18MPa) at the outer radius of the hydraulic cylinder for large vessel. But negative signs have meaning compressive stress and stress diminution ratio was about 0.15MPa/mm. The use of isoparametric element raised accuracy and the increment of input data lessened the error in internal point but computer run-time was increased. The double node was improved the internal solutions to settle discontinuity at corner and the double exponential formula lessened error of stress value at boundary neighborhood. And then coincidence between the analytical and exact results is found to be fairly good, showing that the proposed analytical by BEM is reliable.

  • The most bottleneck of development of automation excavator system is the making mathematical linear model. Because of non-linear of control circuit, cylinder, join in hydraulic circuit, and heavy loading so on. Therefore, whatever robust controller is designed, real experimentation is necessary. But, a real experimentation has many risks. The excavator is expensive and large size. Therefore a development of experimentation system is difficult and not safe. Specially, there have a difficulty, because of big noise. So, on experimentation is difficult in school. Manufacturing pneumatic excavator modeland using system identification, design a system transfer function in this paper. Also, planning m-PID Controller using CDM, and examining usefulness applied to actuality model.

  • Asymmetric cylinders are usually used as an actuator of active suspensions. The conventional optimal controller design does not include actuator dynamics as a state. and force controller is needed to track the desired force. But the actuator is not ideal, so performance of an active suspension system is degraded. In this paper, we take account nonlinear actuator dynamics and obtain a linear model using a feedback linearization technique then apply optimal control method. For real time application, gain-scheduling method is used. Effectiveness of proposed method is demonstrated by numerical simulation of 1/4 car model.

  • This article provides a dynamic analysis model for huge marine engine that examined analytically variation effects of frequency response by fitting of transverse stays such as hydraulic type. First, vibration analysis using the three dimensional finite element models for the huge marine engine has performed in order to find out the dynamic characteristics. Second, three dimensional finite elements model for the huge marine engine was modifued so that generate forcing nodes in crosshead part and top bracing nodes in cylinder frame part. Third, a system matrix and output matrix was derived for the general siso(single input single out) state space model. Finally, developed state space model for the three dimensional finite elements model for the huge marine engine without the additional modifying process.

  • The basic elements in a rotary-type scroll compressor are two identical spiral scrolls containing refrigerant gas. The pressure variations in the compression pockets of a scroll compressor change the forces acting on the orbiting scroll, and these forces affect the dynamic behavior of the compression mechanism parts. To achieve high efficiency, using a self-sealing mechanism as a tip seal mechanism is very effective. Tip seals, which are placed on top of the scroll wraps, accomplish thrust sealing. This study calculates the friction force between the tip seal and the side plate of a scroll compressor using the numerical model considered in the Reynolds equation. The calculated friction force is verified by an experiment using a pin-on-disk apparatus. A hydraulic servo valve that controls the pressure of the oil hydraulic cylinder applies the normal load for the test, and a DC servo motor controls the sliding velocity of the disk. The friction force and normal load are measured by the force sensors attached to the supporting parts. The results show that the theoretical and experimental results are similar and that the friction is influenced by the viscosity of the oil and the sliding velocity of the scroll.

  • The government has announced its Hydrogen Economy Roadmap to strengthen global competitiveness on the hydrogen economy by focusing on hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles and fuel cells. In this regard, the interest on the economics and safety of the infrastructure of hydrogen stations has also increased. In this study, a test bed similar to an actual hydrogen charging facility was built, and a prototype of a piston-type compressor was modeled. In this model, the piston was hydraulically compressed to progressively test leakage, leakage rate, and durability and to check for any malfunction. Moreover, the leakage rate, cylinder leak performance, and compressor operation durability were evaluated for safety; it was confirmed that there were no abnormalities. Nevertheless, an investigation of the long-term use and operating pressure of the compressor is necessary to verify the safety of developing a100-MPa domestic compressor in the future.

  • Camshaft engines designed for constant engine loads have been applied to existing marine diesel engines. However, due to environmental regulations, electro-hydraulic servo mechanisms, which have a loaddependent cylinder liner jacket water cooling system (LDCL-JWCS), have been recently developed to individually control the temperature of the cylinders depending on the engine load. In this system, the 3-way valve, which prevents low temperature corrosion by reducing the temperature difference between the upper and lower parts of the cylinder, has been employed, but the outlet mass flow of the existing valve is low. In this study, the design of the internal shape of the 3-way valve was performed by analyzing the effects of the design parameters of the valve shape on the performance (i.e., the outlet mass flow rate and temperature). The proposed model was verified by comparing its performance to that of existing marine diesel engine valves.

  • While the design of weirs requires a scour-considered strategy, research on the analysis of the effectiveness of hydraulic energy dissipaters and design criteria are scarce due to the limited experimental facilities and restraint in the experiment conduction period. The study analyzed the scour dissipation effect of multidirectional dissipaters to improve the scour problems of a weir downstream and suggests design criteria to minimize scour. A hydraulic model experiment was conducted for Nakdong River Hapcheon-Changnyeong Weir and a model in 1/25 of horizontal accumulation and 1/25 of vertical accumulation was produced. The experimental equipment was classified into channels and a flow rate supply and an underwater pump were installed to enable flow at a maximum of 2.0 m3/s. The experimental inflow was 1.3 m3/s, the upstream water level was 0.36 m, downstream water level was 0.24 m, and a cylinder wooden baffle, a dissipater, with a diameter of 0.05 m was made. A 3D scanner was also used for an accurate scour depth comparison for a length change of the baffle before and after installing the baffle. When the baffle was arranged in the shape of a V, the depth of scour decreased by 36% while the scour length decreased by 49% due to flow reduction compared to that before installing the baffle.

  • Perpendicular guideway mechanism has a different behavior with horizontal guideway mechanism due to the slider weight. So, to decrease its weight effect, counter balances such as weight type and hydraulic cylinder type are used. But it can also make another motion behavior by weight rate of slider and counter balance, its connected position. Therefore, it is necessary to find design parameters and analyze their effect. This paper dealt with the optimal design of perpendicular guideway mechanism. For analysis, the theoretic model as same as real machine tool and sib plate to adjust the clearance was used. Rotational angle and displacement of slider, pressure distribution, friction distribution were calculated. Stick slip, intermittent motion of slider according to friction change was adapted to the perpendicular guideway mechanism.
