다중표적 뼈 전이암의 하이브리드 세기변조(modified hybrid-VMAT) 방사선치료계획 유용성 평가 (Evaluation of the Modified Hybrid-VMAT for multiple bone metastatic cancer)

  • 목 적 : 동일 선상축(co-axial image)의 다발성 뼈 전이암에 대한 하이브리드 세기변조(modified hybrid-VMAT) 계획의 유용성을 평가하고자 한다. 대상 및 방법 : 동일 선상축의 다발성 뼈 전이암환자 총 5명을 대상으로 치료계획시스템(Ray station, 5.0.2.35, Sweden)을 이용하여 치료계획을 수립하였다. 치료계획용적(planning target volume, PTV) 처방 선량은 30 Gy로 설정하여 총 3가지 치료계획: 용적변조회전치료계획(volumetric modulated arc therapy, VMAT); 배경방사선(background)을 고려하지 않은 하이브리드 용적변조회전치료계획(hybrid VMAT, VMAT(h)); 배경방사선을 고려한 하이브리드 용적변조회전치료계획(modified hybrid VMAT, VMAT(mh))을 비교하였다. 선량용적히스토그램(dose volume histogram, DVH)을 이용하여 PTV의 maximum dose($D_{max}$), mean dose($D_{mean}$), 처방선량지수(conformity index, CI), 선량균질지수(homogeneity Index, HI) 및 손상위험장기(organ at risk, OAR)의 선량을 분석하였다. 또한 monitor unit(MU)와 치료시간(beam on time)을 분석하였다. 결 과 : VMAT, VMAT(h)과 VMAT(mh)의 PTV $D_{max}$는 3188.33 cGy, 3526 cGy, 3285.67 cGy이고, $D_{mean}$은 3081 cGy, 3252 cGy, 3094 cGy이고, CI는 $1.35{\pm}0.19$, $1.43{\pm}0.12$, $1.30{\pm}0.06$이고, HI는 $1.06{\pm}0.01$, $1.14{\pm}0.06$, $1.09{\pm}0.02$로 평가되었다. VMAT(h)과 VMAT(mh)의 OAR은 3 % 증가와 18 % 감소하는 것으로 평가되었다. 추가적으로 평균 MU는 904.90, 911.73, 1202.13 그리고 평균 Beam on time은 $128.67{\pm}10.97$초, $167.33{\pm}7.57$초, $190.33{\pm}4.51$초 소요되었다. 결 론 : 다중표적 치료 시에는 modified Hybrid-VMAT를 적용하면 선량의 겹침이 보정되어 과선량(over dose) 조사되는 것을 방지하는 다중표적을 치료할 수 있다. 그리고 PTV의 선량포함을 만족하면서 주위의 정상장기를 더 효과적으로 보호할 수 있는 치료계획이 가능하다. 또한 modified Hybrid-VMAT의 임상적 효능을 확인하기 위해 많은 수의 환자를 대상으로 한 장기 추적 관찰이 필요하다.

The novel peptide F29 facilitates the DNA-binding ability of hypoxia-inducible factor-1α

  • Hypoxia-inducible factor-$1{\alpha}/{\beta}$ (HIF-$1{\alpha}/{\beta}$) is a heterodimeric transcriptional activator that mediates gene expression in response to hypoxia. HIF-$1{\alpha}$ has been noted as an effective therapeutic target for ischemic diseases such as myocardiac infarction, stroke and cancer. By using a yeast two-hybrid system and a random peptide library, we found a 16-mer peptide named F29 that directly interacts with the bHLH-PAS domain of HIF-$1{\alpha}$. We found that F29 facilitates the interaction of the HIF-$1{\alpha/\beta}$ heterodimer with its target DNA sequence, hypoxia-responsive element (HRE). The transient transfection of an F29-expressing plasmid increases the expression of both an HRE-driven luciferase gene and the endogenous HIF-1 target gene, vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). Taken together, we conclude that F29 increases the DNA-binding ability of HIF-$1{\alpha}$, leading to increased expression of its target gene VEGF. Our results suggest that F29 can be a lead compound that directly targets HIF-$1{\alpha}$ and increases its activity.

정합-표적모델 역산을 이용한 기동 표적의 위치 추정 (Matched-target Model Inversion for the Position Estimation of Moving Targets)

  • 수동 소나를 이용하여 기동 표적의 위치를 추정하는 정합-표적모델 역산 기법을 개발하였다. 본 기법은 수중음향학 분야에서 널리 사용되는 정합장 역산 방법을 이용하여 관측으로부터 얻어지는 방위와 주파수를 표적모델에 의해 계산되는 값과 정합 시킴으로써 표적의 위치를 파악한다. 효율성과 정확성을 향상시키기 위하여 변수의 탐색 방식은 혼성 최적화 기법을 이용하였는데 일차적으로 광역 최적화 기법으로 알려진 유전자 기법이나 모사 담금질 기법을 적용한 후 단순 비탈 국부최적화 기법을 순차적으로 적용하였다. 제안 기법의 성능 검증을 위하여 3가지의 기동 시나리오에 대하여 시뮬레이션을 실시하였다. 검증 결과 가우시안 확률분포를 갖는 측정오차가 5σ를 가지는 경우에도 견실한 수렴을 보여주었으며 계산 시간면에서도 실용적 인 것으로 밝혀졌다.

시니어 세대를 위한 프리미엄 데님 디자인 개발 - 하이브리드 얀 커버링 복합사 직물을 활용하여 - (Development of Premium Denim Design for the Senior Generation - Hybrid Yarn Using Conjugated Dyeing -)

  • As the development of denim products using new differentiated materials plays an important role regardless of their target age groups, there is an increasing need for the development of premium denim designs for senior women using various materials. As part of the strategy to develop such a design for the senior generation, a market survey was performed regarding commercially available premium denim products in the market, and the current trends in the denim market were researched and analyzed to make use of the results in design development. In addition, a differentiated material, hybrid yarn using conjugated dyeing (HYCD) was applied to use several washing techniques capable of highlighting the unique features of denim clothing. The design of four items including a jacket, vest, capri pants and long pants were suggested. These items were differentiated from other products by emphasizing their details such as stitching and pockets. In light of the current consumer trend to select denim jeans on the basis of their fashion-ability (e.g., silhouette or color) rather than practicality or price, it is considered meaningful to develop high value added, premium jean products for the senior generation using diverse materials and details. At the same time, performing further studies designed to demonstrate the stability and reliability of the developed products through consumers' comparative assessment is required.

하이브리드 코팅 시스템에 의해 합성된 Zr-Al-N 박막의 미세구조와 기계적 특성, 산화 특성, 부식특성 (Microstructure, Mechanical, Oxidation and Corrosion Properties of Zr-Al-N Coatings Synthesized by the Hybrid Coating System)

  • Zr-Al-N coatings were synthesized by the hybrid coating system combining arc ion plating and DC magnetron sputtering from a Zr and an Al target in argon-nitrogen atmosphere, respectively. By changing the power applied on the Al cathodes, the Zr-Al-N coatings with various Al contents were deposited. The microstructure and chemical compositions of the Zr-Al-N coatings were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). With increasing of Al content in the coatings, the solid solution (Zr, Al)N crystallites were observed in the Zr-Al-N coatings. The nanohardness of the Zr-Al-N coatings exhibited a maximum value of 42 GPa for the Zr-Al (7.9 at.%)-N, and decreased with further increase in Al content in the coatings. The oxidation and corrosion behavior of the Zr-Al-N coatings revealed better properties compared than those of ZrN coatings due to the formation of a solid solution.

병원 건물에 설치된 냉각탑 병용 지열 히트펌프 시스템의 냉방 성능 (Cooling Performance of Cooling Tower-Assisted Ground-Coupled Heat Pump (GCHP) System Applied in Hospital Building)

  • This paper presents the measurement and analysis results for the cooling performance of ground-coupled heat pump (GCHP) system using a cooling tower as a supplemental heat rejector. In order to demonstrate the performance of the hybrid approach, we installed the monitoring equipments including sensors for measuring temperature and power consumption, and measured operation parameters from May 1 to October 30, 2014. The results showed that the entering source temperature of brine returning from the ground heat exchanger was in a range of design target temperature. Leaving load temperatures to building showed an average value of $11.4^{\circ}C$ for cooling season. From the analysis, the daily performance factor (PF) of geothermal heat pumps ranged from 4.4 to 5.2, while the daily PF of hybrid GCHP system varied from 3.0 to 4.0 over the entire cooling season.

하이브리드 병렬 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 최적 신뢰도-중복 할당 문제 (An Optimal Reliability-Redundancy Allocation Problem by using Hybrid Parallel Genetic Algorithm)

  • Reliability allocation is defined as a problem of determination of the reliability for subsystems and components to achieve target system reliability. The determination of both optimal component reliability and the number of component redundancy allowing mixed components to maximize the system reliability under resource constraints is called reliability-redundancy allocation problem(RAP). The main objective of this study is to suggest a mathematical programming model and a hybrid parallel genetic algorithm(HPGA) for reliability-redundancy allocation problem that decides both optimal component reliability and the number of component redundancy to maximize the system reliability under cost and weight constraints. The global optimal solutions of each example are obtained by using CPLEX 11.1. The component structure, reliability, cost, and weight were computed by using HPGA and compared the results of existing metaheuristic such as Genetic Algoritm(GA), Tabu Search(TS), Ant Colony Optimization(ACO), Immune Algorithm(IA) and also evaluated performance of HPGA. The result of suggested algorithm gives the same or better solutions when compared with existing algorithms, because the suggested algorithm could paratactically evolved by operating several sub-populations and improve solution through swap, 2-opt, and interchange processes. In order to calculate the improvement of reliability for existing studies and suggested algorithm, a maximum possible improvement(MPI) was applied in this study.

SOFC-GT 혼합시스템용 원심압축기 공력설계 및 유동특성 연구 (A Study on Aerodynamic Design and Flow Characteristics of a Centrifugal Compressor for SOFC-Gas Turbine Hybrid System)

  • This study presents an aerodynamic design and numerical analysis of a centrifugal compressor in gas turbines for SOFC-gas turbine hybrid system application. Total-to-total pressure ratio of the compressor is 3.6:1 that could be used widely for small and large SOFC-gas turbine systems. The compressor consists of a centrifugal impeller and a wedge diffuser. Conceptual design and aerodynamic design with mean line analysis and quasi-3D analysis are performed, and aerodynamic parameters as well as design variables are discussed from the design results. A numerical analysis based on the Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equation was performed for the flow analysis of the compressor. The results show that the centrifugal compressor designed meets the design target, and the aerodynamic parameters and results of the compressor can be used for the aerodynamic design of centrifugal compressors and the feasibility study of SOFC-gas turbine system design.

An Intelligent System for Recognition of Identifiers from Shipping Container Images using Fuzzy Binarization and Enhanced Hybrid Network

  • The automatic recognition of transport containers using image processing is very hard because of the irregular size and position of identifiers, diverse colors of background and identifiers, and the impaired shapes of identifiers caused by container damages and the bent surface of container, etc. In this paper we propose and evaluate a novel recognition algorithm for container identifiers that effectively overcomes these difficulties and recognizes identifiers from container images captured in various environments. The proposed algorithm, first, extracts the area containing only the identifiers from container images by using CANNY masking and bi-directional histogram method. The extracted identifier area is binarized by the fuzzy binarization method newly proposed in this paper. Then a contour tracking method is applied to the binarized area in order to extract the container identifiers which are the target for recognition. In this paper we also propose and apply a novel ART2-based hybrid network for recognition of container identifiers. The results of experiment for performance evaluation on the real container images showed that the proposed algorithm performs better for extraction and recognition of container identifiers compared to conventional algorithms.

실차 소음 최적화를 위한 주파수 응답 함수 합성법의 적용 (Application of FRF-Based Substructuring to Optimization of Interior Noise in Vehicle)

  • The hybrid CAE/CAT methods are widely applied to product development in various fields because this method can predict the response of the whole system when a part of the system is changed. Especially, the hybrid CAE/CAT method is very useful to predict tile vehicle NVH characteristics after changing some parts of the vehicle. Target parts can be established on the basis of test models and FE models of the prototype constructed in the planning stage of car development. In this study, the topic was focused on the proper test-based FBS application process to predict vehicle NVH characteristic. First, the test-based FBS method was apply to vehicle substructure and car-body. And then the test-based model was replaced with FE model to apply hybrid CAE/CAT method. The replaced FE model was modified through the optimization process. The interior noise in vehicle during the drive was predicted with Modified FE model, then the predicted results were verified by experimenting with actual modified model.
