  • This study is proposed a new hybrid mount having a moving-magnet type electromagnetic actuator to reduce the vibration transmitted from naval shipboard equipment to the structure of the ship's hull. Optimal design specifications are determined through experimental analysis. The detailed design of the hybrid mount is determined through several design steps with electromagnetic numerical analysis using Maxwell Software(S/W). The hybrid mount that combines a rubber mount and an electromagnetic actuator has a fail-safe function for shock resistance. The mount is fabricated and tested using a universal testing machine to evaluate the design specifications. Finally, numerical simulation of the hybrid mount is performed to confirm control performance and applicability.

  • The operation principle of an axial flux-switching hybrid excitation synchronous machine (AFHESM) is analyzed and its topology structures are proposed in this paper. After some comprehensive analysis of the operation principle to axial flux electrical machine, flux-switching electrical machine and hybrid excitation electrical machine, the operation principle of AFHESM is given. Combined with some typical topological structures of hybrid excitation electrical machine, some possible topological structures are proposed and some comprehensive comparisons are carried out. The analysis results show that the stator-separated AFHESM has some advantages such as less AM turns, less impact on the demagnetization of PM, less magnetic flux-leakage and higher efficiency compared to other topologies.

  • In this paper, we define the multi-states exponential cell resident time mobility model for describing the mobility characteristics of mobile user and analyzed the total cost of the hybrid method using multi-states cell resident time. Generally, the mobile user has three states for its movement, such as staying, walking and driving. This multi-states cell resident time based hybrid method reflects the movement characteristics of mobile user and adapts the location update period according to the states of mobility speed. As a results of the performance analysis, we can get the optimum parameters of the hybrid method for multi-states based mobile users.

  • A hybrid model has been developed which adopts a fluid model for electrons and a particle-in-cell (PIC) model for ions. Using the hybrid simulation, the discharge characteristics are investigated with the diagnostics for the electric field and the wall charge profile, density distributions of charged and excited particles, distributions of ultraviolet lights on phosphor, and the visible lights emitted from the PDP cell. Also, energy and angle distributions of the ions at the MgO protective layer are obtained for the analysis of material effect. The comparison of hybrid simulation results with experimental results as well as that with the conventional fluid simulation shows that the new model is more adequate for the simulation of PDP cells.

  • A four-node hybrid stress element for analysing orthotropic folded plate structures is presented. The formulation is based on Hellinger-Reissner variational principle. The element is developed by combining a hybrid plane stress element and a hybrid plate element. The proposed element has six degree of freedom per node and permits an easy connection to other type of elements. An equilibrated stress field in each element and inter element compatible boundary displacement field are assumed independently. Static and free vibration analyses of folded plates are carried out on numerical examples to show that the validity and efficiency of the present element.

  • In this paper, an optimal allocation method of a hybrid active power filter in an active distribution network is designed based on the differential evolution algorithm to resolve the harmonic generation problem when a distributed generation system is connected to the grid. A distributed generation system model in the calculation of power flow is established. An improved back/forward sweep algorithm and a decoupling algorithm are proposed for fundamental power flow and harmonic power flow. On this basis, a multi-objective optimization allocation model of the location and capacity of a hybrid filter in an active distribution network is built, and an optimal allocation scheme of the hybrid active power filter based on the differential evolution algorithm is proposed. To verify the effect of the harmonic suppression of the designed scheme, simulation analysis in an IEEE-33 nodes model and an experimental analysis on a test platform of a microgrid are adopted.

  • In this paper, we introduce and study two different iterative hybrid projection algorithms for solving a fixed point problem of nonexpansive mappings. The first algorithm is generated by the combination of the inertial method and the hybrid projection method. On the other hand, the second algorithm is constructed by the convex combination of three updated vectors and the hybrid projection method. The strong convergence of the two proposed algorithms are proved under very mild assumptions on the scalar control. For illustrating the advantages of these two newly invented algorithms, we created some numerical results to compare various numerical performances of our algorithms with the algorithm proposed by Dong and Lu [11].

  • Although Korea's economic and domestic automobile market through the change of road environment are growth, the traffic accident rate has also increased, and the casualties is at a serious level. For this reason, the government is establishing and promoting policies to open traffic accident data and solve problems. In this paper, describe the method of predicting traffic accidents by eliminating the class imbalance using the traffic accident data and constructing the Hybrid Model. Using the original traffic accident data and the sampled data as learning data which use FP-Growth algorithm it learn patterns associated with traffic accident injury severity. Accordingly, In this paper purpose a method for predicting the severity of a victim of a traffic accident by analyzing the association patterns of two learning data, we can extract the same related patterns, when a decision tree and multinomial logistic regression analysis are performed, a hybrid model is constructed by assigning weights to related attributes.

  • Background/Aims: Patients with Barrett's esophagus are at increased risk of developing esophageal adenocarcinoma. Endoscopic therapies aim to eradicate dysplastic and metaplastic tissues. Hybrid argon plasma coagulation (hybrid-APC) utilizes submucosal fluid injection to create a protective cushion prior to ablation that shields the submucosa from injury. We performed a pooled meta-analysis to evaluate the safety and efficacy of hybrid-APC. Methods: We conducted a systematic search of major electronic databases in April 2022. Studies that included patients with dysplastic and non-dysplastic Barrett's esophagus undergoing treatment with hybrid-APC were eligible for inclusion. Outcome measures included complete remission of intestinal metaplasia (CR-IM), stricture formation, serious adverse events, and number of sessions necessary to achieve CR-IM. Results: Overall pooled CR-IM rate for patients undergoing hybrid-APC was 90.8% (95% confidence interval [CI], 0.872-0.939; I2=0%). Pooled stricture rate was 2.0% (95% CI, 0.005-0.042; I2=0%). Overall serious adverse event rate was 2.7% (95% CI, 0.007-0.055; I2=0%). Conclusions: Results of the current meta-analysis suggest that hybrid-APC is associated with high rates of CR-IM and a favorable safety profile. Interpretation of these results is limited by the inclusion of retrospective cohort and case series data. Randomized controlled trials that standardize treatment and outcome evaluation protocols are necessary to understand how this treatment option is comparable to the current standards of care.

  • This research investigates computer generated hybrid second-order model of two numerically based approaches to risk classification : discriminant analysis and neural networks. The hybrid second-order models are derived by rule induction using the ID3 and tested in the several different kinds of data. This new hybrid approach is designed to combine the high prediction accuracy and robustness of DA or NN with perspicuity of ID3. The hybrid model also eliminates the problem of contradictory inputs of ID3. After doing empirical test for the validity of hybrid model using small and medium companies' bankrupt data, hybrid model shows high perspicuity, high prediction accuracy for bankrupt, and simplicity for rules. The hybrid model also shows high performance regardless the type of data such as numeric data, non-numeric data, and combined data.
