In this paper, a rescheduling procedure is developed for shipbuilding master production schedule. Shipyard initially develops backward production schedules for the entire shipbuilding process, and then refines the schedule by stage. The rescheduling procedure of this paper tries to resolve the schedule discrepancies between the outdoor backward schedule and the refined indoor schedule. Through the proposed rescheduling procedure, outdoor schedule can be successfully adjusted using buffer days and duration reduction. An Object-oriented program is also developed to automate the procedure. We can observe the improvement on productivity and quality of rescheduling works from the application of the developed procedure.

Mobile phones are evolving into a platform for internet access. In order to display web pages in handsets, WVGA and around 3-inch displays are strongly recommended. Low power consumption, compactness and narrow boarder area are essential. The general requirements for WVGA solution and the design factors to reduce the power consumption and boarder area discussed.

The proposed method is based on a penalized log partial likelihood of Cox proportional hazard model with L1-penalty. We use the iteratively reweighted least squares procedure to solve L1 penalized log partial likelihood function of Cox proportional hazard model. It provide the ecient computation including variable selection and leads to the generalized cross validation function for the model selection. Experimental results are then presented to indicate the performance of the proposed procedure.

A system, featuring the hybrid isolator for control in the vertical direction, of active microvibration control was proposed. The main components of this system are a stage vibration isolation table with built-in acceleration sensors for detecting microvibration, hybrid isolators and a digital controller with high precision signal converters. The vibration control algorithm is focused on settling-time critical application and feedback/feedforward combination.
