간호사의 유머 인지 및 사용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Nurses' Appreciation and Use of Humor)

  • Purpose: This study is a descriptive research study to develop the Nurse's Humor Questionnaire, and then analyze humor's appreciation and use by Korean nurses. Method: The three stages used to develop the questionnaire were to make a conceptual framework, make an open questionnaire through the 2nd preliminary inquiry, and make a structured questionnaire based on collected statements through the developed open questionnaire. The subjects that carried out completely a structured questionnaire were 337 nurses. Result: 1) The final developed questionnaire consists of 6 domains and 67 items. The reliability of 'When feeling humor's expression'(${\alpha}=0.7079$), 'The barrier factors of humor's use'(${\alpha}=0.7895$), and 'Humor's values' (${\alpha}=0.8336$) was high. 2) The results related to Humor's values of nurses that showed significant differences were as follow: (1) age, marital status, and current position (2) a negative correlation between stress and humor's values (3) humor's sources: daily life and conversation (4) frequency of used humor (5) types of used humor: word humor, imitation, adequate situation and technical terms, and (6) when using humor's expression: tense atmosphere, awkward atmosphere and adequate situation. Conclusion: The developed tool can be used for understanding nurse's humor. This will help to develop the humor program as a nursing intervention for health promotion.

입원아동을 위한 아동간호학 분야의 유머 중재에 관한 고찰 (A Study of Humor as a Nursing Intervention for Hospitalized Children)

  • Purpose: Humor is an important part of life. Humor has many benefits as an intervention for hospitalized children. Humor is one strategy that pediatric nurses can use to help children cope with illness and hospitalizations. The purposes of the study were to 1) review the definition of humor, 2) identify methods and skills in using humor as an intervention, 3) identify the effects of humor as an intervention, and 4) suggest further research. Method: The design was a descriptive study with literature review. Previous studies were identified by searches of MEDLINE, CHNIAL, PUBMED and ProQuest. Results: Humor has positive physiological, psychological, social and communicative effects on patients and humor has a positive effect on the immune system. Conclusion: The main point identified from this study suggests that humor as a nursing intervention be developed for nurses to use with children who are hospitalized. Further research is needed to develop programs for humor as an intervention for health promotion and disease prevention in children.

부모의 유머스타일과 아동의 정서성 및 또래유능성의 관계 (The Relationship among Parents' Humor Style, Children's Emotionality, and Peer Competence)

  • The purpose of the present study investigated the types of humor styles of preschool children, as well as the relationship between parents' humor styles, their children's emotionality, and peer competence. For this purpose, the data on parents' humor styles and their children's emotionality and peer competence were collected from 203 children 3-5 years of age who were enrolled in 3 educational institutions for young children in the Seoul area, and from their parents. Basic statistical calculations including averages, standard deviations, and variances of the collected data were calculated for the analysis of the humor style of the fathers and mothers, and Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between the parents' humor styles and children's emotionality and peer competence. The results are as follows: it turned out that both fathers and mothers use social humor most frequently, and fathers use more humor in general than mothers. In addition, the analysis of the relationship between parents' humor styles and children's emotionality and peer competence showed that children's emotionality has to do with their mothers' humor styles, whereas children's peer competence has more to do with their fathers' humor styles. Finally this study found that parents' humor style has an impact on the development of children and provides a new perspective on positive parenting attitudes.

부모의 유머스타일이 유아의 정서 표현성에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Parents' Humor Styles on Children's Emotional Expressiveness)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of parental humor style on their children's emotional expressiveness. Methods: Parental humor styles and their children's emotional expressiveness were measured in 306 parents and their 153 young children enrolled in a infant educational institution located in Seoul and Gyeong-gi Province. A total of 459 subjects participated in this study. The data were used in producing basic statistics and a t-test and regression analysis with SPSS 21.0 program were performed. Results: First, parents with young children were found to use humor above the medium level in interaction with their children, especially societal humor. Second, societal, self-expansive, and self-defeating humors used by mother were found to predict children's emotional expressiveness, while the humor used by fathers was found to have no effect on children's emotional expressiveness. Conclusion/Implications: The parental use of humor is a common phenomenon these days and is aimed at creating more intimate parent-child interaction. In addition, it was found that mother's humorous interaction can bring about positive emotional expressiveness in her child.

만화 이미지가 표현된 후기산업사회 복식의 해학 (Humor of Post-Industrial Society Costume Expressing Cartoon Image)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify a basic meaning of humor from the costume expressing cartoon image, to grasp the status of contemporary costume, and also to supply people with a database related to the sphere of costume design. This was done by analyzing and examining humor of the costume expressing cartoon image in post-industrial society. Consequently, the result of this study was summarized as follows; First, humor by parody of Pop Art is recognized as humorous expression that repulsed the main current culture and post-industrial society phenomenon. Second, humor by quotation tends to appear through cartoon character. Costume which quote cartoon character is against Kidult tastes and the pre-existing authoritative prejudices in post-industrial society. Third, humor by bricolage, making bricolage with silhouette, color, pattern item, is recognized as new creation of humor In other words, it is regarded as enlargement of new esthetic consciousness and humor about instrumented gender in post-industrial society. Lastly, humor by deformation expressed itself in deformation of body image of character and cloth silhouette by cartoon image. Deformation of cloth silhouette by cartoon image, being not conscious pre-existing concept of harmony of human and costume, is recognized as humor which have characteristic of play with introduction of new silhouette. In addition to, the result of this study showed that humor expressed in cartoon image of costume has been limited to the works of few designers because of characteristics of fashion designers who made use of popularity as subjects of the works and internal meanings which were related to the characteristics of post-industrial society.

  • 본 연구는 휴대용 게임기인 닌텐도 DS Lite의 타이틀 중 유머 요소를 지닌 게임 타이틀에서 사용자들이 짧은 시간에 집중적으로 게임에 몰입할 수 있도록 돕는 역할을 하는 유머 요소가 더욱 빈번하게 발견됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한 본고에서 제시한 유머 요소 평가표를 기준으로 게임 타이틀을 분석하였을 때, 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 유머의 요소는 과장임을 알 수 있었다. 스토리를 과장하거나 캐릭터의 외모나 성격, 또는 행동을 과장함으로써 유머를 만들어내는 것은 '과장'은 복잡한 인지적 처리과정 없이도 사용자가 빠르게 유머를 이해할 수 있는 장치이기 때문이라고 여겨진다. 휴대용 게임기는 다양한 연령층과 다양한 상황에 어필하기 위한 전략으로, 언제 어디서나 간편히 몰입할 수 있는 단순한 조작과 쉬운 스토리텔링 구조를 내세우고 있다. 이러한 휴대용 게임기의 스토리텔링에 적절한 유머 요소를 도입하여 사용하는 것은 사용자의 몰입을 한층 심화하는 데 도움이 되어, 퍼즐이나 스포츠, 액션 게임 등의 단순한 형식의 게임 위주의 플레이에서 벗어나 보다 다양한 게임을 즐기는 데 도움이 될 것으로 예상할 수 있다.

  • 일반 대화속에는 물론, TV광고, 포스터, 신문, 잡지 등에 광범위하게 이용되고 있는 유머는 창조적인 사고로 아이디어를 개발하는 디자이너에게 훌륭한 표현수단이 되고 있으며 어떤 표현방법보다도 포용력 있고 설득적인 중요한 수단으로 그 가치와 함께 끊임없는 연구가 이루어지고 있다. 그러나 지금까지 유머에 관한 연구는 광고를 중심으로 상품구매에 미치는 영향에 관한 유머 소구효과가 대부분이라 실제로 새로운 표현방법을 개발하고자 하는 디자이너에게는 이러한 연구자료가 이용되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서, 수용자인 대중에게 효과적인 메세지 전달을 하기위해 노력하는 디자이너 입장에서 새로운 연구가 계획되어야 하며, 객관적으로 검증되고 실제적으로 활용가능한 자료가 필요하다. 본 연구는 인간의 가장 기본적이며 공통적 언어인 유머를 통하여 타이포그래피의 새로운 표현방법을 제시하고, 각 유형별로 어떠한 표현 특성이 있는지 분석하여 그를 토대로 디자이너와 대중이 공유할 수 있는 보다 타당성있고 효과적인 유머 표현을 위해 이의 효용성을 실증적으로 고찰하였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 타이포그래피의 유머적 표현방법이 대중에게 어떻게 지각되고 있는지를 알고, 실험을 통해서 디자이너가 아이디어 개발에 접근해 가기를 바라며, 그러한 작업이 이루어질 때 보다 객관적이고 적합한 디자인을 계획할 수 있고 나아가 메세지 전달효과를 증대시킬 수 있다.

유머 종류에 따른 유머 선호와 활용에 관한 연구: 성별.연령별 차이를 중심으로 (A Study on the Differences of Humor Preferences and Uses)

  • 이 연구는 유머 종류에 따른 유머 선호와 활용이 성별 연령별로 어떠한 차이를 보이는지 알아보았다. 이를 위해 수도권 지역 143명을 대상으로 한 설문조사 내용을 분석하였다. 분석결과 유머 종류에 따른 유머 선호와 활용에 있어서 성별로는 남성이 여성에 비해 공격적 유머를 선호하는 것으로 나타났으나 전체적으로 큰 차이는 없었다. 하지만, 연령별로는 상당히 많은 차이가 났다. 특히, 10대는 비언어적 유머를 선호하는 반면, 40대 이상은 언어적 유머를 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 활용에 있어서는 $10{\sim}20$대를 중심으로 하는 저연령층에서 유머를 더 많이 활용하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 성별에 따른 차이보다 연령별 차이가 큰 이유에 대해 한국인의 전통적 체면 의식과 연관시켜 논의하였다.

중년여성의 유머감각, 유머대처, 스트레스 지각 및 자아존중감과의 관계 (The Relationship between Sense of Humor, Coping with Humor, Perceived Stress and Self-esteem in the Middle-aged Women)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to identify the relationship between Sense of Humor, Coping Humor, Perceived stress and self-esteem in the middle-aged women. Methods: Data were collected from the 20th of June to the 30th of August in 2009 from 145 middle-aged women living in Seoul. Data analysis was done with SPSS/WIN 12.0 program for descriptive statistics and Pearson correlation. Results: The mean score of the humor sense was $55.94{\pm}6.52$, coping humor was $21.11{\pm}3.82$, perceived stress was $22.21{\pm}3.03$ and self-esteem was $27.50{\pm}2.88$. Subcategories of sense of humor were that emotional expressiveness was average $20.75{\pm}2.70$, meta-message sensitivity was average $20.12{\pm}2.74$ and liking of humor was average $15.13{\pm}3.44$. Sense of humor was difference according to the economic status(t=2.000, p=.047), coping humor was difference according to the on medication use(t=2.227, p=.027). There was a significant correlation between the coping humor, perceived stress and the self-esteem. When the coping humor was higher, perceived stress was lower and the self-esteem was higher. Conclusion: This study showed that medication and economic status influences the humor scores and the sense of humor and coping humor were related to perceived stress and self-esteem in middle-aged women Therefore, these findings can provide the basis for the development of nursing intervention to increase the ability to coping with stress.

유머러스한 기업 구성원: 유머, 문화, 그리고 인상관리 (A Joker's Image: Humor, Work Impressions, and Culture in Korean Workplaces)

  • 한국 기업과 사회에서 변화하는 문화적 흐름에 따라 유머는 유용한 인상관리 기법이 될 수 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 유머를 성공적인 인상관리 기법으로 활용하기 위하여 이해해야 되는 요소들을 확인하는 것에 있다. 본 연구는 참여적 관찰(participant observation) 과 인터뷰(semi-structured interviews) 를 통한 질적 연구를 진행하였다. 참여자들은 유머를 통한 인상관리가 대부분 유교문화에 기반을 둔 상대적 역할에 맞춰 사용되며, 상급자(superior) 가 더 적극적이고 다양하게 사용한다고 인식하였다. 그러나 상대적으로 젊은 참여자들은 유머가 기업의 역할에서 벗어날 수 있는 독창적인 인상관리 기법이 될 수 있으며, 이 과정에서 유머가 다양한 해석 및 결과를 나타낼 수 있다는 인식이 참여자들에게 불안감과 스트레스를 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 유머를 사용할 때 환경과 소통하는 대상의 문화적 성향을 고려하고, 기업들은 효과적인 인상관리 기법에 대한 교육을 도입해야 의도하지 않은 결과를 피하여 긍정적인 결과를 얻을 것이다.
