  • The goal of the military medicine is not as same as that of the civil medical practice, and consequently the characteristics of military biomedical researches have their own uniqueness. In front of the prerogative of national defense, some of the human rights ordinarily ensured in normal researches with human subjects are not to be fully guaranteed. The hierarchic system of the military would complicate the issue when the soldiers are enrolled as human subject for the research. Some researches could be classified as a military secret, therefore, the confidentiality issues need to be well addressed. Institutional Review Board and review procedure should be modified for the military purposes. So, it is necessary to establish the appropriate regulatory system for the military biomedical researches with human subject to manage the complicated issues involved in them.

  • 'In-Jon(人尊)' is one of a concept which constitute the mainstay of Daesoon thought. To be superficial, the concept is appeared to be limited at a area of anthropology, but In-Jon is a large concept which includes ontology and epistemology. Because the essence of human being is connected with God and the such possibility is related to the mission of human being's subject who exists in world. Advanced researches to analysis of in-jon tend to focus on rise of human status but this study do on universal subject not particular subject. This is to elaborate the point of issue. The point of view as rise of human status overlooks problem of relationship between human entities. who ingenerate hierarchy. In-jon is the universal subject of philosophical subject concepts which western philosophy have taken as main problem since Descartes. So we have to consider In-jon to be conceptual continuity concerning stream of history of ideas and communicate with ideas. A precedent study on 'injon' concept has weak conceptual analysis, which only emphasizes the greatness of mankind as compared with others. But that can't reveal In-jon based on the Daesoon thought. So I try to engraft the concept on development of subject ideas to get academic objectivity. In-jon is great in having universal subject to expand the authority of God to all creation. That is the last goal which subject can reaches through the development. Considering this regard the research direction of this study is very encouraging and significant. Western philosophy has important philosopher of the three, Descartes, Kant, Hegel. Those are a spectrum who show an aspect of subject ideas. The subject idea has become the middle of philosophical system since Descartes in modern. It is the right and necessary process to philosophy because human being has spirit or reason connected with God. So In-jon in Daesoon thought is academic concept comprising ontological and epistemological properties. So I try to analyse In-jon through that and have In-jon join the ranks of mainstream academics in this paper

  • Oral history research is carried out through collecting information about a living person. The data collected from an oral history project is not a mere fact or a mass of information but accounts of persons who reveal their own personalities. For this reason, oral history research and data collection and the use of such data must be based on rigorous ethical standards. The Bioethics and Safety Law shares a similar view on human subject research, and the Institutional Review Boards includes human subject research as a subject of review and management. However, the Bioethics and Safety Law's protection of personalities and human rights focuses on life sciences methodologies, which are not suitable for qualitative research, such as an oral history of a value oriented and critical approach to human beings. This study examines the details of the Bioethics and Safety Law related to human subject research and the problems that may arise when this law is applied to subjects in humanities and social sciences such as oral history. Through this study, alternative methodologies, which can be used for oral history research, while maintaining academic autonomy, are suggested.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to assess the status of the Human research Protection Program (HRPP) within a hospital or a research institute in Korea. Methods: Survey was conducted during June 12th-21th 2019. Survey was distributed to the members of Korean Association of IRB (KAIRB) through each IRB office. Descriptive statistics were performed using SPSS ver. 26. Results: A total of 86 people responded, and 75 (87.0%) answered that they have perceived the HRPP. Seventy out of 86 respondents (81.4%) were conducting internal audit, several institutions were operated simultaneously the other form of audits such as IRB audit, system audit. Regarding the management of Suspected Unexpected Serious Adverse Reaction (SUSAR), 62.8% answered that they have regulation that can decide to suspend the study when there is a risk to subject safety. Among the respondents, 66.3% performed 'Help desk.' Conclusion: In this study, we assessed the current status of HRPP operation at each research institution based on Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) HRPP guidelines. The HRPP accredited institution operated the subject protection activities according to this program, and even if the HRPP was not officially operated, the related activities were conducted focusing on the cases that could have a significant impact on the safety of research subjects. In order to ensure the quality of domestic clinical trials and to stably establish the HRPP, efforts at the individual institution level will be required.

  • The Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) includes all subject protection activities and entities involved in the process of planning, reviewing, and conducting clinical research and it ultimately aims that research can be conducted ethically and scientifically while protecting the rights and welfare of research subjects. At the beginning of its introduction in Korea, it was settled down by adopting the United States HRPP, especially the form of AAHRPP element and regulations. However, regulations and operating forms of HRPP have been changed according to the Korean domestic research environment. Actually, all the Korean institutions are adopted the Korean HRPP guidelines that have been officially announced by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety in Korea. Recently, Korean domestic laws such as the "Advanced Regenerative Biology Act" or "In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Device Act" have been dramatically innovated and our research environment becomes to be more complicated. Therefore, the development of a suitable Korean HRPP model considering the Korean research environment is strongly demanded. For the early settle down of the Korean HRPP model, the positive incentive method should be applied, when the HRPP is operated and/ or properly operated. These improvements in the Korean HRPP environment will eventually lead to the appropriate protection of subjects who are participating in human clinical research and the quality improvement of clinical research.

  • This study examines how the project approach utilizing beans as the subject matter influences young children's scientific research capabilities and scientific attitudes. This examination ultimately aims at developing effective teaching methods and programs that can promote children's scientific research capabilities and scientific attitudes. Thirty six children at H kindergarten in Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do were selected as subjects of this study. The children aged five were divided into an experiment group and a comparison group, with eighteen for each group. Before the experiment, a pre-test was conducted on the children's scientific research capabilities and scientific attitudes. The pre-test results were subject to a t test to identify whether there were differences between the two groups in age as well as the levels of scientific research capabilities and attitudes. A post-test was also conducted to determine the differences between the two groups in these categories. These results have led to the conclusion that the project approach utilizing beans as the subject matter has a positive impact on improving young children's scientific research capabilities and scientific attitudes.

  • In this paper, we propose a new method of reconstructing the hand models for individuals, which include the link structure models, the homologous skin surface models and the homologous tetrahedral mesh models in a reference posture. As for the link structure model, the local coordinate system related to each link consists of the joint rotation center and the axes of joint rotation, which can be estimated based on the trajectories of optimal markers on the relative skin surface region of the subject obtained from the motion capture system. The skin surface model is defined as a three-dimensional triangular mesh, obtained by deforming a template mesh so as to fit the landmark vertices to the relative marker positions obtained motion capture system. In this process, anatomical dimensions for the subject, manually measured by a caliper, are also used as the deformation constraints.

  • Electroencephalogram(EEG) would be the most objective psychophysiological research technique on human errors though few research has been taken yet. This study aimed to get characteristics of human error while committing simple Odd-Ball tasks by utilizing the power spectrum technique of EEG data. Each experiment was composed of 3 tasks with different rules, and three young undergraduate students participated in this study as paid subjects. The result showed that subject and the interaction of subject and task factors were statistically significant on variation of power of $\alpha$ and $\beta$ bands which implied there would exist groups with homogeneity in their response. And though the variation of band powers due to task factors were not so great as to get statistical significance, it implied that the task requiring decoding process would be more strange to human beings than the task merely requiring psychological recall process.
