Kinect Sensor 기반의 개인 맞춤형 운동 처방 시스템 개발 (Development of Personalized Exercise Prescription System based on Kinect Sensor)

  • 본 연구는 Kinect Sensor 기반의 개인 맞춤형 운동 처방 시스템을 개발하고, 개발 시스템의 사용성을 평가하는 것이다. 개발 시스템을 개인 맞춤형 운동 처방 시스템을 모션캡쳐 도구로서 이용할 수 있을지에 대한 가능성 검증을 위해서 스마트 거울 시스템에 부착된 키넥트 센서(Kinect sensor)에서 측정된 인체 움직임 데이터와 적외선 모션캡쳐 장비에서 측정된 인체 움직임 데이터를 비교하여 타당성과 신뢰성을 분석하였다. 타당성 검증 결과 상관계수 r=0.871~0.919로 높은 양의 상관성을 보였고, 예측가능정도가 88%로 높게 나타났다. 신뢰성 검증 결과 r=0.743~0.916 높은 양의 상관성을 보였고, 반복 측정에 대한 일관성도 ICC=0.937로 매우 높게 나타났다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서 개발한 키넥트 센서기반의 운동 처방 시스템에서 인간 골격에 대한 특징 벡터를 통한 관절의 가동범위 평가 및 자세측정평가가 운동 처방을 제공하는데 있어서 하나의 기준이 될 수 있다는 가능성을 보여주었다. 향후 병원, 임상시험센터, 스포츠센터 등의 운동처방사 혹은 물리치료사, 퍼스널 트레이너들에게 전문성 제고에 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

소형 휴머노이드 로봇 시스템 개발 (The Development of a Miniature Humanoid Robot System)

  • In this paper, we introduce a case study of developing a miniature humanoid robot that has 16 degrees of freedom and is able to perform statically stable walking. The developed humanoid robot is 37cm tall and weighs 1,200g. RC servo motors are used as actuators. The robot can walk forward and turn to any direction on an even surface. It equipped with a small digital camera, so it can transmit vision data to a remote host computer via wireless modem. The robot can be operated in two modes: One is a remote-controlled mode, in which the robot behaves according to the command given by a human operator through the user-interface program running on a remote host computer, the other is a stand-alone mode, in which the robot behaves autonomously according the pre-programmed strategy. The user-interface program also contains a robot graphic simulator that is used to produce and verify the robot\`s gait motion. In our walking algorithm, the ankle joint is mainly used for balancing the robot. The experimental results shows that the developed robot can perform statically stable walking on an even surface.

도립진자형 이족보행로봇의 유연한 궤적 생성 (A Smooth Trajectory Generation for an Inverted Pendulum Type Biped Robot)

  • This paper is concerned with smooth trajectory generation of biped robot which has inverted pendulum type balancing weight. Genetic algorithm is used to generate the trajectory of the leg and balancing weight. Balancing trajectory can be determined by solving the second order differential equation under the condition that the reference ZMP (Zero moment point) is settled. Reference ZMP effect on gait pattern absolutely but the problem is how to determine the reference ZMP. Genetic algorithm can find optimal solution under the high order nonlinear situation. Optimal trajectory is generated when use genetic algorithm which has some genes and a fitness function. In this paper, minimization of balancing joints motion is used for the fitness function and set the weight factor of the two balancing joints at the fitness function. Inverted pendulum type balancing weight is very similar with human and this model can be used fur humanoid robot. Simulation results show ZMP trajectory and the walking experiment made on the real biped robot IWR-IV.

맥스 스크립트를 이용한 감성적 걸음걸이 예측 시스템 (The Prediction System of Emotional Reaction to Gaits Using MAX SCRIPT)

  • 인간의 걸음걸이를 보고 느끼는 감성적 반응에는 모든 사람들이 공감할 수 있는 '규칙성'이 있다. 본 논문은 이러한 규칙성을 수량적으로 추출하고 재구성하여 3D 캐릭터 행동제어에 적용하고자 하는 연구과정의 일부분이다. <"가"라는 감성반응을 가지고 있는 걸음걸이 "A"와 "나" 라는 감성반응을 가진 걸음걸이 "B" 의 신체적 수치 데이터를 임의의 비율로 섞었을 때, 그에 대한 감성반응 역시 "가"와 "나" 가 섞인 "가/나"가 된다.>란 가설을 증명해서 향후 연구의 타당성을 확보하는 것이 이번 논문의 목적이다. 3D Studio Max의 스크립트로 만든 EAM을 이용하여, 바이페드 형식의 2개의 걸음걸이 샘플을 브랜딩 하였다. 6번 중 4번의 실험에서 성공적인 브랜딩 결과물을 추출할 수 있었다. 이것은 모션캡처 등을 이용하지 않더라도 기본적인 바이페드 데이터만 있다면 다양한 걸음걸이의 바이페드를 생산할 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 현재 팔, 다리의 1Cycle 운동조건이 갖추어진 바이페드 샘플을 대상으로 하고 있지만, 완성된 시스템을 위해서는 다양한 운동조건에서도 브랜딩이 가능한 툴이 필요하다.

  • 외골격 보행보조로봇은 로봇 시스템을 인체에 직접 착용하는 형태이므로 기구적인 측면에서는 인체 근골격 구조에 최적화된 메커니즘으로 구성되어야 하며, 제어적인 측면에서는 근골격계의 손상을 일으킬 수 있는 로봇의 부적합한 거동을 예방할 수 있는 안전장치를 갖추어야 한다. 외골격 보행보조로봇을 개발하기 위해서는 보행이나 근골격계의 거동특성에 대한 이해 및 분석이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 최적화된 로봇시스템 설계를 위하여 구동장치의 관절력과 동력 용량을 예측하였으며 몇 가지 보행동작에 대한.관절거동특성을 파악할 수 있는 자료를 획득하였다. 평지보행을 제외한 나타나는 주요한 동작으로는 계단오르고 내리기, 안기, 서기, 경사면 걷기 등이 있다. 본 연구에서는 경사면 걷기를 제외한 모든 동작에 대한 동작 실험을 수행하고 분석하였다.

Analysis of Lower-Limb Motion during Walking on Various Types of Terrain in Daily Life

  • Objective:This research analyzed the lower-limb motion in kinetic and kinematic way while walking on various terrains to develop Foot-Ground Contact Detection (FGCD) algorithm using the Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). Background: To estimate the location of human in GPS-denied environments, it is well known that the lower-limb kinematics based on IMU sensors, and pressure insoles are very useful. IMU is mainly used to solve the lower-limb kinematics, and pressure insole are mainly used to detect the foot-ground contacts in stance phase. However, the use of multiple sensors are not desirable in most cases. Therefore, only IMU based FGCD can be an efficient method. Method: Orientation and acceleration of lower-limb of 10 participants were measured using IMU while walking on flat ground, ascending and descending slope and stairs. And the inertial information showing significant changes at the Heel strike (HS), Full contact (FC), Heel off (HO) and Toe off (TO) was analyzed. Results: The results confirm that pitch angle, rate of pitch angle of foot and shank, and acceleration in x, z directions of the foot are useful in detecting the four different contacts in five different walking terrain. Conclusion: IMU based FGCD Algorithm considering all walking terrain possible in daily life was successfully developed based on all IMU output signals showing significant changes at the four steps of stance phase. Application: The information of the contact between foot and ground can be used for solving lower-limb kinematics to estimating an individual's location and walking speed.

Hyperbaric gaseous cryotherapy for postoperative rehabilitation enhances functional recovery of canine stifle joint: a report on a short-term study

  • Background: Hyperbaric gaseous cryotherapy (HGC) is a type of cryotherapy used in human medicine for rehabilitation after orthopedic surgeries. Because HGC is known to reduce acute or chronic pain, research is needed to prove its effectiveness in veterinary medicine. Objectives: To compare the effects of HGC between the HGC treatment group and the nontreatment (NT) group on postoperative swelling, range of motion, lameness score, postoperative pain, and kinetic measurements after stifle joint surgery in dogs. Methods: Dogs were randomized in an HGC group or NT groups. In the HGC group, HGC was applied once a day for a total of 2 days after surgery. All parameters were measured postoperatively and at 1, 2, 10, and 28 days after surgery. Results: Twenty dogs were enrolled: 10 in the HGC group and 10 in the NT group. Soft tissue swelling was not significantly different between groups at any time point. In the HGC group, pain scores decreased significantly 24 h after surgery and 48 h after surgery. Dogs in the HGC group showed a significantly decreased lameness and improvement for all kinetic measurements beginning 48 h after surgery. In addition, the HGC group indicated a significant increase in range of motion as compared with the NT group at 28 days after surgery. Conclusions: HGC plays a powerful role in decreasing initial postoperative pain. Furthermore, the improvement in pain affects the use of the operated limb, and the continued use of the limb eventually assists in the quick recovery of normal function.

동적 하네스 체중지지율에 따른 일상생활 동작 시 인체영향평가 (Evaluation of Human Body Effects during Activities of Daily Living According to Body Weight Support Rate with Active Harness System)

  • 본 연구에서는 다자유도 동적 하네스 시스템을 개발하고 동적 하네스 체중지지에 따른 인체 영향평가를 하고자 한다. 건강한 성인 남성 20명을 대상으로 실험을 진행하였으며 평지보행, 앉기, 서기, 계단 오르기, 계단 내려오기 5가지 일상생활 동작을 수행하였다. 일상생활 동작 수행 시 각 피험자 체중의 0%, 30%, 50%에서의 근육 활성도와 족압 분포를 측정하였다. 근육 측정부위는 대퇴직근, 대퇴이두근, 전경골근, 외측 비복근이다. 하네스 체중지지율 증가에 따라 족압의 평균값은 전체적으로 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 평지보행에서는 체중지지율 증가에 따른 전족부의 압력의 감소폭이 크게 나타났으며 비복근과 대퇴이두근의 활성 감소를 보였다. 앉기 동작에서는 후족부의 족저 압력 감소폭이 크게 나타났으며 체중지지율에 따라 전경골근의 근육 활성이 감소하였다. 계단 내려오기 동작에서는 체중지지율 증가에 따라 전족부의 압력이 크게 감소하였고 대퇴직근의 활성감소가 크게 나타났다. 의자에서 일어나기동작과 계단 오르기 동작에서는 동적 하네스 체중지지효과가 미비하였으며 이는 속도가 건강한 성인 남성의 동작 수행 속도보다 느리기 때문이다. 후속 연구에서는 본 시스템을 개선하기 위한 연구가 지속되어져야 할 것이다.

가상현실 대화용 가상걸음 장치의 지능제어 (Intelligent Control of a Virtual Walking Machine for Virtual Reality Interface)

  • This paper proposes intelligent control of a virtual walking machine that can generate infinite floor for various surfaces and can provide proprioceptive feedback of walking to a user. This machine allows users to participate in a life-like walking experience in virtual environments with various terrains. The controller of the machine is implemented hierarchically, at low-level for robust actuator control, at mid-level fur platform control to compensate the external forces by foot contact, and at high-level control for generating walking trajectory. The high level controller is suggested to generate continuous walking on an infinite floor for various terrains. For the high level control, each independent platform follows a man foot during the swing phase, while the other platform moves back during single stance phase. During double limb support, two platforms manipulate neutral positions to compensate the offset errors generated by velocity changes. This control can, therefore, satisfy natural walking conditions in any direction. Transition phase between the swing and the stance phases is detected by using simple switch sensor system, while human foot motions are sensed by careful calibration with a magnetic motion tracker attached to the shoe. Experimental results of walking simulations at level ground, slope, and stairs, show that with the proposed machine, a general person can walk naturally on various terrains with safety and without any considerable disturbances. This interface can be applied to various areas such as VR navigations, rehabilitation, and gait analysis.

  • The wall shear stress in the vicinity of end-to end anastomoses under steady flow conditions was measured using a flush-mounted hot-film anemometer(FMHFA) probe. The experimental measurements were in good agreement with numerical results except in flow with low Reynolds numbers. The wall shear stress increased proximal to the anastomosis in flow from the Penrose tubing (simulating an artery) to the PTFE: graft. In flow from the PTFE graft to the Penrose tubing, low wall shear stress was observed distal to the anastomosis. Abnormal distributions of wall shear stress in the vicinity of the anastomosis, resulting from the compliance mismatch between the graft and the host artery, might be an important factor of ANFH formation and the graft failure. The present study suggests a correlation between regions of the low wall shear stress and the development of anastomotic neointimal fibrous hyperplasia(ANPH) in end-to-end anastomoses. 30523 T00401030523 ^x Air pressure decay(APD) rate and ultrafiltration rate(UFR) tests were performed on new and saline rinsed dialyzers as well as those roused in patients several times. C-DAK 4000 (Cordis Dow) and CF IS-11 (Baxter Travenol) reused dialyzers obtained from the dialysis clinic were used in the present study. The new dialyzers exhibited a relatively flat APD, whereas saline rinsed and reused dialyzers showed considerable amount of decay. C-DAH dialyzers had a larger APD(11.70$\pm$1.32mmHg/min)compared to CF dialyzers(4.32$\pm$0.55mmHg/min)(p<0.05). However, there was no observable difference in the UFR between the two dialyzers. Neither APD nor UFR showed any significant increase with an increasing number of reuses for up to more than 20reuses. A substantial number of failures observed in APD(larger than 20mmHe/min)on the reused dialyzers(2 out of 40 CP and S out 26 C-DAK) were attributed to the Possible damage on the fibers. The CF 15-11 HFDs which failed APD test did not show changes in the UFR compared to normal dialyzers indicating that APD is a more sensitive test than UFR test to evaluate the integrity of the fibers. 30527 T00401030527 ^x For quantitative measurement of reflected light from a clinical diagnostic strip, a prototype old reflectance photometer was designed. The strip loader and cassette were made to obtain more accurate reflectance parameters. The purpose of this study is to identify major geometrical differences between Korean femurs 3nd others that we believe belong to Caucasians so that we would be able to get insights into the femoral component design that fits Asians including Koreans. We utilized computerized tomography (CT) images of femurs extracted from cadavers. The CT images were transformed into bitmap data by using a film scanner, and then analyzed by using a commercially available software called Image v.1.0 and a Macintosh IIci computer.The resulting data were compared with already published data. The major results show that the geometry of the Korean femurs is significantly different from that of Caucasians: (1) the anteversion angle and the canal flare index are greater by the amount of approximately 8˚ and 0.5, respectively, (2) the shape of the isthmus cross section is more round, and (3) the distance between the teaser trochanter and the proximal border of the isthmus is shelter by about 15 mm. In this paper, a new method to detect nonlinear propagation characteristics of the internal vibration in the tissue for the low frequency mechanical vibration by using bispectral analysis is proposed. In the method, low frequency vibration of f0( = 100Hz) is applied on the surface of the object, and the waveform of the internal vibration x (t) is measured from Doppler frequency modulation of silmultaneously transmitted probing ultrasonic waves. Then, the bispectra of the signal x (t) at the frequencies (f0, f0) and (f0, 2f0) are calculated to estimate the nonlinear propagation characteristics as their magnitude ratio, w here since bispectrum is free from the gaussian additive noise we can get the value with high S/N. Basic experimental system is constructed by using 3.0 MHz probing ultrasonic waves and the several experiments are carried out for some phantoms. The operating system and database management system were SCO UNIX and SCO foxbase, respectively. For program development, we used Xbase language provided by SCO foxbase.
