  • Enalapril. a prodrug. is the ethyl ester of a long-acting angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor. enalaprilat. Because enalapril does not contain any appreciable chromophore. detection of the drug in a complex matrix (e.g.. biological fluids) has been problematic with conventional detection systems in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). As a result. determination of enalaprillevel in blood samples has been typically carried out using HPLC-MS/MS in the literature. (omitted)

  • Ascorbic acid is very well known as one of various ntioxidants and is used very popular in man. Melatonin. an endogenous compound secreted by the pineal gland in human brain has been reported to act as an antioxidant nowadays. The present study was performed to obtain the differences of the radioprotective function of ascorbic acid and combination with melatonin according to the administration dose a day on radiation induced DNA damage in mouse spleen and blood. • Objective : To study of Literature on the Ying Qi and Wei Qi One of thing that is among basis theory of Oriental medicine is Vital Essence, Vitality, Qi and Blood(精神氣血) justly. Results : Physiological special quality of Ying Qi(營氣) first, flows within Blood Circulation and the temper is mild and second, transform blood and grow up whole body, and follow through Pectoral Qi(宗氣). Wei Qi(衛氣) means running regeneration of material that do guard action of human body as refined nutritious substances transformed in food. Physiological special quality of Wei Qi(衛氣) first, nature is fast, smooth, and sharp. And it flows outside Blood Circulation. Second, go on muscslar gap without following through Pectoral Qi(宗氣). Ying blood(營血) flows within Blood Circulation means living body ingredient which thing reveals by circulation of the blood change phenomenon. Ying Qi(營氣) is Ying(營) in meaning which go on meridians, therefore meridians as wandering living body reaction route mean. This Ying Qi(營氣)'s physiology transform blood and grows up whole body and flows within Blood Circulation. It becomes most important ingredient of composition of blood, Wei Qi(衛氣) transforms and becomes nutrition constantly by running regeneration of material which transform in Jungcho(中焦) and spread by spreading action of upper chest exhaust in lower belly above the blader of apriority, Kidney-yang.

  • Simultaneous determination of concentrations for four major components in human blood serum was investigated using a Fourier-transform mid-infrared spectroscopy. Infrared spectra of human blood serum were measured in 8.404 ∼ 10.25 ${\mu}m$ range where the highest absorption peaks of glucose are located. A partial least square (PLS) algorithm was utilized to establish a calibration model for determining total protein, albumin, globulin and glucose levels which are commonly measured metabolites. The standard error of cross validation obtained from our multivariate calibration model was 0.24 g/dL for total protein, 0.15 g/dL for albumin, 0.17 g/dL for globulin, and 6.68 mg/dL for glucose, which are comparable with or meet the criteria for clinical use. The results indicate that the infrared absorption spectroscopy can be used to predict the concentrations of clinically important metabolites without going through a chemical process with a reagent.

  • Sensitising cancer cells and at the same time desensitizing normal cells is a double task in cancer management. Agents which can combat the debilitating side effects of cancer therapeutics and simultaneously synergize with anticancer agents in specifically targeting cancer cells are needed. Selenium, a proven anticarcinogen, gains due importance in terms of its efficacy to combat the side effects of cancer therapy. This study is a comparative analysis of the chemoprotective effects of selenium compounds, methyl selenol (generated from organic selenomethionine (5mmol/L ; METase 40U/L)) and sodium selenite (inorganic form)($30{\mu}M$) in peripheral blood human lymphocytes exposed to cisplatin and mitomycin. Biochemical alterations occurring in many cells during apoptosis include loss of plasma membrane phospholipid asymmetry, DNA fragmentation, and activation of caspase-3. The present study demonstrated that the selenium metabolite and selenite are efficient in protecting lymphocytes undergoing DNA damage and exerted their activity by reducing caspase 3 expression. Interestingly organic methylselenol (MeSe) was found to offer more protective effects compared to inorganic selenite (SeL), by reducing the induction of apoptosis by the cytotoxic agents. This suggests that MeSe and to a lesser extent selenite might have potential for assessment in clinical trials and could be considered as strong candidates in pharmacogenomics or in the nutriprotective arena.
