Evacuation Simulation to Assess Human Safety of Social Welfare Facility (사회복지시설의 인명안전도 평가를 위한 탈출 시뮬레이션)

  • Growing attention of a society to protecting weak people leads an increase of various social welfare facilities. Therefore, safety of the occupants at emergency situations, such as fire, must be considered as an important factor during the design and operation of those facilities. In this paper an exploratory study is carried out on a method quantitatively assessing the human evacuation safety of social welfare facilities. A evacuation simulation method, being routinely used in the evacuation analysis of passenger ships deriving 'Evacuability' as a quantity of safety, is applied to assess the human safety of a facility for single-moms. Based on the simulation results, the main factors that must be considered while carrying out the evacuation simulation for the human safety assessment of the facility are investigated.

A Study of the Relationship between Human Resource Management and Turnover in Social Welfare Organizations (사회복지조직의 인적자원관리와 이직률의 관계에 대한 연구)

  • This study attempts to examine the relationship between human resource management and turnover rate in social welfare organizations in Korea. For the analysis, this study utilizes '2012 Central Government Social Welfare Facilities Evaluation(CGSWFE)' data and employs multiple regression analysis for examining the research model and questions built on previous studies. The key findings of this study are as follows: first, the annual average turnover rate in social welfare centers in Korea is 16.7%; second, after controlling other organizational factors, average pay, substantial system of supervision, and competence of supervisors have significant relationships with turnover rate in a negative direction; and third, availability of employment alternatives which is one of control variables also has significant and very strong relationship with turnover rate. The findings indicate that suitable compensation and supervision system with high quality would be important factors to decrease turnover rate in social welfare organizations facing increased competitions. This study provides new knowledge foundation on the relationship between human resource management and turnover rate in social welfare organizations. In addition, it contributes to advancing new discussions about turnover by analyzing real turnover behavior at organizational level which is completely different from the previous research focusing on turnover intention at individual level.

  • This study was designed to establish the standing of Human Ecology by discussing the integrity and practicality of Human Ecology and viewing it from various angles. We dealt with objects of study, viewpoints, and the adoption of research results in discussing the integrity of Human Ecology. We also discussed the practicality of Human Ecology focusing on family welfare, health and policy. This study revealed that integrity and practicality were closely connected and played important roles in the identification of Human Ecology.

  • Now, our country is in the face of increasement of aged person, and because of this fact many problems about aged person are show themselves. The main problems can be summarized as services provided by suppliers, inefficient management of welfare facility, violation of human rights, and nonprofessionalism of caring. Therefore to increasement of welfare quality, the direction of aged person welfare facility was suggested in this study.

  • 본 논문은 기존의 수화 발생 시스템이 갖는 처리 성능의 한계와 신체요소의 움직임에 대한 문제점을 지적하고, 이를 개선하기 위해 하이퍼 수화문장을 제안한다. 하이퍼 수화문장은 기존 수화문장의 구조를 확장하여 수화단어와 신체효소의 동작기호로 구성된 수화문장이다. 제안한 하이퍼 수화문장 생성 방법에 따라 하이퍼 수화어절을 연결하여 수화동작을 합성하고 수화문장에 대한 아바타의 움직임을 실제 수화자와 유사하게 생성하는 시스템을 보인다.

Preparati on and Characterization of $LnTaO_4$ (Ln = La, Nd, Sm, Dy, Er and Tm)

  • Lanthanide tantalite $LnTaO_4$ (Ln= La, Nd, Sm, Dy, Er and Tm) was synthesized by a solid state reaction between mixed powders of $Ln_2O_3$ and $Ta_2O_5$. The single-phase $LnTaO_4$ was prepared by sintering at temperatures of 1423-1673 K in air. The SEM observation showed that the particles were provided with the growth steps and the depeloped facets. The photocatalytic activity for water splitting of $LnTaO_4$ prepared was measured under UV light irradiation. The activity obtained was higher than that previously reported. These results suggested the crystallinity of $LnTaO_4$ photocatalysts correlates closely with the efficiency of water splitting.

  • 본 논문에서는 입력한 데이터를 분석하고 비교하여 손 모양 데이터 편집기의 기준 손 모양을 결정하는 방법을 제안한다. 즉, 입력한 손 모양 데이터에 대해 빈도수 혹은 평균값을 사용하여 기준 손 모양을 결정하는 방법을 제안한다. 입력한 손 모양 데이터로부터 제안한 방법을 통해 얻어진 손 모양이 실제 표현하고 자 한 손 모양과 일치하는지 실험을 통해 비교하였는데, 6,135개의 입력 데이터에 대해 두 가지 방법 모두 90.6% 일치하였다.

  • To detect dust-loaded air-mass over land and ocean, we propose an index, which is essentially the difference in Rayleigh-corrected reflectance between 412 and 443 nm bands of SeaWiFS. Radiative transfer simulations are conducted to show that the index is linearly related to the optical thickness of modeled dust-contaminated aerosol while showing insensitivity against non-absorbing model aerosols. Asian SeaWiFS data set of 2001 spring is used to produce daily composite imagery of the index, which compares well with TOMS Aerosol Index and with predicted aerosol optical thickness predicted by CFORS chemical weather forecast.

A Study on Awareness of Cultural Welfare Worker on Empowerment (문화복지 실천가의 역량강화 인식에 대한 연구)

  • This study profoundly analyzed cultural welfare workers to find out how they command a strategy of empowerment according to types of action. The analysis result shows that cultural welfare workers perceive cultural welfare as an unstable human service job. Activity types of cultural welfare workers can largely be categorized into professional workers and vocational workers, and they are two extremes and continuum at the same time. On this account, a strategy of empowerment depends on types of action conducted by cultural welfare workers. There are accelerative elements that boost empowerment strategies positively and there are impediment elements that work adversely. These cultural welfare workers are making suggestion to prepare an official requirement for them to be acknowledged as a specialized worker and to increase various types of educational spectrum to meet their level. This study has significance for providing basic data for education, supervision, and policy for training human resources in future.
