The ubiquitous smart home is the home of the future, which exploits context information from both the human and the home environment, providing an automatic home service for the human. Human location and motion are the most important contexts in the ubiquitous smart home. In this paper, we present a real-time human tracker that predicts human location and motion for the ubiquitous smart home. The system uses four network cameras for real-time human tracking. This paper explains the architecture of the real-time human tracker, and proposes an algorithm for predicting human location and motion. To detect human location, three kinds of images are used: $IMAGE_1$ - empty room image, $IMAGE_2$ - image of furniture and home appliances, $IMAGE_3$ - image of $IMAGE_2$ and the human. The real-time human tracker decides which specific furniture or home appliance the human is associated with, via analysis of three images, and predicts human motion using a support vector machine (SVM). The performance experiment of the human's location, which uses three images, lasted an average of 0.037 seconds. The SVM feature of human motion recognition is decided from the pixel number by the array line of the moving object. We evaluated each motion 1,000 times. The average accuracy of all types of motion was 86.5%.

The image quality measure is an important issue in the image processing. Several methods which measure the image quality have been proposed and these are based on the mathematical point of view. However, there is difference between the mathematicalmeasure and the measure based on the human visual system and a new measure has to be proposed because the final target of the image is a human visual system In this paper, a statistical image quality measure which is considered the human visual feature was suggested. The human visual system is using the global quality of the image and the local quality of the image and the local quality is more important to human visual system. In this paper, the image divided into several segments and the image qualities were calculated respectively. After then, the statistical method using scoring was applied to the image qualities. The result of the image quality measure was similar to the result of measure based on the human visual system.

In this paper, we propose an infrared image based human victim recognition method for a search and rescue robot in dark environments, like general disaster situations. For recognizing a human victim, an infrared camera on a RGB-D camera, Microsoft Kinect, is used. The contrast and brightness of the infrared image are first improved by histogram equalization, and the noise on the image is removed by morphological operation and Gaussian filtering. For recognizing a human victim, the binarization and blob labeling methods are applied to the improved image. Finally, for verifying the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method, an experiment for human victim recognition is carried out in a dark environment.

This paper introduced a measurement method for image sticking based on human vision perception. Existing image sticking quantification method is mostly different from visible level by human perception. It takes a long time to measure image sticking which is degraded by time due to using a spot photometer, therefore many test samples could not be evaluated in a given short period of time in mass production line. However, the new measurement method in this paper is possible to evaluate a large quantity of samples in fast and high correlation with human perceptual level of image sticking.

In modern art, body appears as artistic performer, material or producer. and is expressed as' social environment body' which is changed in the relationship with its society and culture. The correlation between body and clothing image appears in 'body as expression object' which directly borrows human body or sets up a section of human body, 'body as medium' in which clothing substitutes body, and 'body as image' in which image of body reappears along with clothing. The results of analysis are as follows : First, 'image of expansion and exaggeration' to expand the influence of clothing thereby disclosing illusion of material civilization prevalent in our society, and make metaphor of dwarfish human's lurking fear by transforming and exaggerating human body. Second, 'image of restriction and suppression' to express the loss of humanity, power and restriction of modern society with fixing and cruelty of body image through clothing which disregard body function. Third, 'image of open and fluidity to criticize the extinction of values of human existence and standardized figure of our society by reducing three-dimensional clothing and body to untypical form or introducing the image of absent of human body to clothing. Fourth, 'image of reversion and paradox' to express practical clothing object with unwearable material, or cause confusion of sex and identity by expressing dual aspects of body at the same time. In this study, which is focused on correlation between body and clothing and the meaning of them, I realized that, even though artistic clothing expressed image of distortion and deformation of human existence as essential subject of body, they, in most contents, were used as medium of communication to rediscover human dignity and identity, and consisted of a series of metaphoric network of meanings satirizing aspects of our society.

This study aims to apply the formative aesthetic of human body to the form of clothing. For this purpose I try to find the various methods of analysis used in the work of sculpture. The method of inference and the checklists of design are used to relate the sculpture with the clothing design specifically. This methodology intends to regard human body as an artistic form and use the image of sculpture to the maximum. Especially I try to derive the motives of design and recreate them in clothing design emphasizing silhouette. On this methodology, following results were developed. First, the observations on the formative characteristic of human body show that the transformed form of human body expresses more perfect image of human body than the original form. The power of simplicity heightens the total beauty of the work. Second, the image of human body expressed in simplicity heightens the total beauty of the work. Second, the image of human body expressed in simplicity and exaggeration can be variously recreated in a silhouette with the formative and cubic effect, simplicity, and activity. Third, the elegant and static image found in the analysis and synthesis of human body can be used as a motive of clothing design and the changed details lead to the transformation of silhouette. Fourth, in developing designs by the item of checklists, one motive can be variously recreated according to the methods of designs.

The 4th industrial revolution, digital image technology has developed beyond the limit of multimedia industry to advanced IT fusion and composite industry. Particularly, application technology related to HCI element algorithm in 3D image object recognition field is actively developed. 3D image object recognition technology evolved into intelligent image sensing and recognition technology through 3D modeling. In particular, image recognition technology has been actively studied in image processing using object recognition recognition processing, face recognition, object recognition, and 3D object recognition. In this paper, we propose a research method of human factor 3D image recognition technology applying human factor algorithm for 3D object recognition. 1. Methods of 3D object recognition using 3D modeling, image system analysis, design and human cognitive technology analysis 2. We propose a 3D object recognition parameter estimation method using FACS algorithm and optimal object recognition measurement method. In this paper, we propose a method to effectively evaluate psychological research techniques using 3D image objects. We studied the 3D 3D recognition and applied the result to the object recognition element to extract and study the characteristic points of the recognition technology.

In this paper, we explained the relation between evaluating display device and emotional image quality evaluation in human perceptual view. It is also suggested two emotional image quality evaluation method of display reflecting human visual function. One is the color space of CIECAM02 and the other is capturing moving image. It is necessary to standardize the evaluation methods of image quality based on emotional evaluation.

In this paper, an interface between a human and a computer is presented. The human and computer interface(HCI) serves as another area of human and machine interfaces. Methods for the HCI we used are voice recognition and image recognition for detecting human's emotional feelings. The idea is that the computer can recognize the present emotional state of the human operator, and amuses him/her in various ways such as turning on musics, searching webs, and talking. For the image recognition process, the human face is captured, and eye and mouth are selected from the facial image for recognition. To train images of the mouth, we use the Hopfield Net. The results show 88%$\sim$92% recognition of the emotion. For the vocal recognition, neural network shows 80%$\sim$98% recognition of voice.

This study is intended to understand an implication system and significance in the current community which a body image symbolizes by correlating it with fashion that is on the rise as a principal issue in various fields. For this study, the symbolism of the body image was contemplated in terms of philosophy and art, and then on the basis of it, the symbolism of the body image shown in modern fashion design was analyzed through fashion works. The research results are as follows, 1. The manifestation of sex can be taken as the symbolism of the body image which is expressed in modern fashion design. Recently sexual chaos and vagueness such as homosexuality and bisexuality are expressed through a dress and its ornaments. Though displaying sexual characteristics of male and female as they are exposing a sign or a diagram, decorating a part of body or representing sex in garments, uncertain sex identity in modern society is manifested in dress and its ornaments. It is to deny absoluteness regarding sex and emphasize diversity indwelt in human beings, and after all it shows to pursue the human essence. 2. Another symbolism of the body image is body expression as the human race and an ethnic group. The discriminating situations and the restoration of their status appeared in modern fashion too. Moreover, their cultures and issues came to alter the aesthetic standard of body made from a view of the Western white supremacist. Hereupon, fashion trends like ethnic fashion, Orientalism and African look etc. appear according to this tendency, which represents race and national identity and in addition, which signifies to present transcendental human conception embracing alienated human conception. 3. The symbolism of the body image expressed in a body, and a dress and its ornaments as nature can be considered in terms of the concern on environmental contamination and the respect of echo system. Getting away from reigning over, developing and stamping down nature at their will, the human beings pursue unity with nature, which is described in fashion. They are stressing that natural materials and objects such as animal, plant and soil etc. should activily be introduced into fashion and humans are a communal fate group and should reframe their status in nature at last. 4. The body image shown in a body, a dress and its ornaments as technology is transformed and recreated by modern scientific techniques and medical science to show post human conception namely, forthcoming future human conception as a cyborg which loses individual identity. This presents a perfect future human conception with high level of preternatural power but after all, leaves us a task to seek the meaning of human existence in alienation caused by the loss of human identity and existence. In this manner, the moderns crave for perceiving the identity of a natural human being in the current thoughts tendency of the modern times such as postmodernism, post structuralism, deconstructionism, feminism and so on, which build discussions affecting the art and fashion worlds. The categories, like sexual characteristics indwelt in a human body, racial classifications, the natural environment surrounding human beings and development of science, bring out the importance of the internal and external meaning in today's fashion which a human body contains, and present sew human conception in the coming future society.
