등석(鄧析)의 재발견: 혜시(惠施) 철학의 연원을 찾아서 (Deng Xi Revisited: Search for the Origin of Hui Shi's Philosophy)

  • 이 논문은 혜시(惠施) 철학이 '천지일체(天地一體)'를 지향하였으나 끝내 그에 이르지 못한 철학이라는 저평가를 바로잡고자 기획되었다. 이를 위해서는 혜시 철학의 연원과 '천지일체'에 도달하는 혜시만의 독특한 방식을 규명해야 하는데, 이의 관건이 등석(鄧析)에게 있다고 보았다. 그래서 우선 혜시 철학의 연원에 관한 이제껏 분분하였던 다양한 견해들을 살피고 그것들의 한계를 지적하였다. 다음에는, 등석이라는 새로운 대안에 주목하였다. 등석에 대한 탐구는 현존하는 "등석자(鄧析子)"의 두 편명인 '무후(無厚)'와 '전사(轉辭)'에 함축되어 있는 의미를 중국 고대철학사의 맥락에서 논구하는 것으로 이루어졌다. 그 결과, 등석의 '무후'가 상고(上古)시대로부터 춘추말기(春秋末期)까지 절대의 준거였던 상제(上帝)와 천(天)이 인간사에 더 이상 개입할 수 없는 무효(無效)의 존재로 전락되고 말았음을 상징한다는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 '전사'는 인간들 사이에서 생겨난 문제를 천명(天命)이 아닌 인간의 명변(名辯), 혹은 생각 또는 말로써 해결하겠다는 의식의 반영임을 보았다. 끝으로 이러한 등석의 사상으로부터 혜시 철학의 연원과 '천지일체'에 도달하는 혜시만의 독특한 방식의 해명을 시도하였다.

  • Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo(BPPV) is a common disorder that peripheral vertigo in clinic, it is provoked Paroxysmal vertigo according to positional change. A man, aged 75, suffered from attacks of vertigo when get out of bed, He complained vertigo, nausea and walking trouble So he visited our clinic Based upon the case history and position-provoked vertigo with characteristic findings on the Dix-Hallpike maneuver, we diagnosed as BPPV. Through only Shang-San-Huang(上三黃) of Dong Shi Xue(董氏穴) acupuncture therapy symptoms were vanished completely. This study was showed effect that operating only Dong-Shi acupuncture therapy without maneuver therapy and the other therapies to patient can not tolerate the Dix-Hallpike Maneuver. We need additional researches with methodological improvement and many clinical cases.

  • 주세걸(朱世傑) 산학계몽(算學啓蒙)은 조선 산학의 발전에 가장 중요한 역할을 한 산서이다. 천원술을 비롯한 산학계몽(算學啓蒙)의 내용은 조선 산학의 중요한 연구 대상이 되었다. 이 논문의 목적은 주세걸(朱世傑)이 수학적 구조를 강조하면서 산학계몽(算學啓蒙)을 저술한 것을 보여서 조선 산학자들에게 수학적 구조에 대한 이해를 크게 확장한 것을 드러내는 것이다. 이와 함께 주세걸(朱世傑) 이전의 산서에 나타나는 구조적 접근과 산학계몽(算學啓蒙)의 접근을 비교하여 주세걸(朱世傑)의 접근이 뛰어나고 또 현대에 사용되는 구조적 접근과 일치하는 것을 보인다.

  • Pedestrian assemblage is now a normal phenomenon in modern cities. To maintain an unblocked traffic situation, protect the pedestrians' safety and make preparedness for any emergencies is an important task for police department. Modeling pedestrian dynamics and simulating evacuation process can provide useful information for make accurate decisions. In this paper, by virtue of geographic information technologies, the authors proposed a conceptual framework to simulate pedestrian dynamics and evacuation in an open urban environment.

  • In the generalized characteristic coordinate system (GCCS) proposed by Wu and Shi [1], the frame moves at a speed which is a linear combination of the convective speed and the sound speed, thus unifying the classical Eulerian approach, Lagrangian approach, and the unified coordinate system (UCS) of Hui and his co-workers [2]. Here some properties of Euler equations in the GCCS are studied and the advantages of GCCS in capturing expansion fans and shock waves are demonstrated by the results of numerical tests.

명 홍무제의 관복제정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the System of Official Uniforms Established by Emperor Hong-wu(洪武) of the Ming(明) Dynasty)

  • This paper researches the system of official uniforms and characteristics of the system based on Ming-Shi(明史), Da-Ming-Hui-Dian(大明會典) and Hong-Wu-Li-Zhi(洪武禮制) in the emperor Hong-wu(洪武帝) of Ming dynasty(明). The system could be divided in to three terms, i.e., the early (initial), the middle and the end (last) terms. In the first(1368) & the third year of the emperor's reign (1370) the system of official uniforms was simple f9r his people not to be luxurious and for revived the system of official uniforms of the Han dynasty(漢) and annulled the system of the Yuan dynasty(元), be-cause the country was not stable yet. During the middle term of Hong-wu, the 14th (1381) to 16th (1383) year of his reign, people attained luxurious lives and developed a strong sense of rank as the country became more stable. As a result, the system became more complicated when the emperor used the costumes to represent political and social ranking. In the end of the emperor's age, the 23rd (1390) to 26th (1393), it reveals his strong intention to establish a system of costumes that separated the ruler from the ruled. He wanted to strengthen the power of Emperor for his little grandson, Jian-wen(建文帝), who would succeed to the throne and would have absolute power. These changes became fundamental to the Ming dynasty's costume system and the Ming dynasty kept them for long time.

  • The KaiFangFa開方法 of traditional mathematics was completed in ${\ll}$JiuZhang SuanShu九章算術${\gg}$ originally, and further organized in Song宋 $Yu{\acute{a}}n$元 dinasities. The former is the ShiSuoKaiFangFa釋鎖開方法 using the coefficients of the polynomial expansion, and the latter is the ZengChengKaiFangFa增乘開方法 obtaining the solution only by some mechanical numerical manipulations. ${\ll}$SanHak JeongEui算學正義${\gg}$ basically used the latter and improved the estimate-value array by referring to the written-calculation in ${\ll}$ShuLi JingYun數理精蘊${\gg}$. As a result, ZengChengKaiFangFa was more refined so that the KaiFangFa algorithm is more consistent.

한국 수의침술에 관한 조사연구 (Studies on Veterinary Acupuncture in Korea)

  • Since successive operations under the acupuncture analgesia have been reported In China 1971, veterinary acupuncture was brought to the attention over the world and then its research and clinical use have markedly developed. Veterinary acupuncture and moxibustion was originated in China and Korea, but the research activities on them were not very significantly advanced. In this study, status of veterinarians on veterinary acupuncture and moxibustion, acupunctures which has been practiced by civil acupuncturist, therapeutic effects of acupuncture for the animal diseases in the field, and effects of electric acupuncture on the lumen motility in ruminants, etc. were Investigated. One-fifty of veterinarians of private clinics in Korea was interested in acupuncture and moxibustion in veterinary medicine. A lot of veterinarians required the scientific, systemic technique and knowledge or acupuncture. Civil acupuncturists who have been practiced acupuncture and moxibustion were 20 persons, and most of them were very old. They used chiefly three edged needles which were made by themselves and utilized old traditional technique in which the acupoints were stimulated and bled. Treatment with acupuncture for the digestive, muscular locomotive and febrile diseases was very effective. Until nowadays, the research on veterinary acupuncture in Korea has not much progressed. However, the Korean Societh of Veterinary Acupuncture and Moxibustion was organized in 1990. Valuable development for acupuncture through the society are expected. Electroacupuncture regional analgesia on the combinations of Yao-Pang 1, 2 and 4 acupoints was very effective for abdominal operations in cattle. But a lot of experiences and studies on the acupuncture anesthesia were required for clinical use in the future. Therapeutic effects of about 80% were obtained from electroacupuncture on the combinations of Tian Ping-Bai Hui-Shi Zhang, and Guan Yuan Yu acupoints in cattle with luminal atony and tympany In the field. Electroacupuncture on the combination of Tian Ping-Bai Hui-Qi Men, and Tian Ping-Bai Bui-Wei Gen for the treatment of downer cow was not so effective. The effects of stimulation and bleeding from acupoint by three edged needle was excellent for febrile diseases. The luminal contractile movement was accentuated by electroacupuncture on Tian Ping-Bai Hui-Shi Zhang combination and Guan Yuan Yu acupoint. It was concluded that veterinary acupuncture and moxibustion should be utilized for veterinary practice, and the advanced scientific research and clinical experiences must be followed.

Characteristics of Refractive Index Profiles at Different Temperatures in $LiNbO_3$ and $KTiOPO_4$ Waveguide Formed by 350 keV Light Ions

  • Both $LiNbO_3$ and $KTiOPO_4$ samples were implanted with 350 keY $H^+$ and $He^+$ ions at different doses ranging from $1 ${\times}$\times10^{16}$ to of $5 ${\times}$\times10^{16}$ ions/$\textrm{cm}^2$. Single and multi-energy implantations were performed at room temperature. Mono-mode or a few modes in both $LiNbO_3$ and $KTiOPO_4$ waveguides were observed. The effect of temperature on the refractive index profiles of $LiNbO_3$ and $KTiOPO_4$ waveguids was studied. The temperature covered from room temperature, $200^{\circ}C$, 194.5 K (dry ice) and 77K (liquid nitrogen). Different mechanisms are needed to interpret the observed behavior. A n, increased mono-mode $LiNbO_3$ waveguide was formed by multi-energy keV $He^+$ ions.
