영상분할과 다중 특징을 이용한 영역기반 영상검색 알고리즘 (Region-based Image Retrieval Algorithm Using Image Segmentation and Multi-Feature)

  • 컴퓨터 기반의 영상 데이터베이스의 급격한 증가에 따라 영상 정보를 관리할 수 있는 시스템의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 영상분할 알고리즘에 Active Contour, 칼라 특징으로 칼라 오토코렐로그램(Color Autocorrelogram), 질감 특징으로 CWT(Complex Wavelet Transform), 그리고 형태 특징으로 Hu 불변모멘트를 선택하여 이들을 효율적으로 추출하고 결합한 영역기반 다중 특징 영상검색 알고리즘을 제안한다. 칼라 오토코렐로 그램은 영상의 H(Hue), S(Saturation) 성분으로부터 추출 하였고, 질감 특징과 형태 및 위치 특징은 V(Value) 성분으로부터 추출하였다. 효율적인 유사도 측정을 위해 추출된 특징(오토코렐로그램, Hu 불변 모멘트, CWT 모멘트)을 결합하여 정확도와 재현율을 측정하였다. Corel DB 및 VisTex DB에 대한 실험 결과, 제안된 영상검색 알고리즘은 94.8%의 정확도와 90.7%의 재현율을 가지며 성공적으로 영상검색 시스템에 응용할 수 있다.

  • 영상 정보의 이용도가 증가함에 따라 영상을 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 시스템의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라, 본 논문에서는 색채 특징과 영상의 형태와 위치 정보의 효율적인 결합에 근거한 내용기반 영상 검색 엔진을 제안한다. 색채 특징으로는 색채의 공간적인 상관관계를 잘 나타내는 HSI 색채 히스토그램을 선택하였고, 형태와 위치 특징들은 HSI의 휘도 성분에서 불변 모멘트를 이용하여 추출하였다. 효율적인 유사도 측정을 위해 추출된 특징(색채 히스토그램, Hu 모멘트)을 결합하여 정확도를 측정하였다. http://www.freefoto.com에서 제공하는 DB를 사용하여 실험한 결과, 제안된 검색엔진은 93%의 정확도를 가지며 성공적으로 영상 검색에 사용될 수 있음을 보였다.

  • 영상 정보의 이용이 증가함에 따라 영상을 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 시스템의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라, 본 논문에서는 영상 분할 알고리즘, 색상 특성, 질감, 그리고 영상의 형태와 위치 정보의 효율적인 결합에 근거한 영역기반 내용 검색 알고리즘을 제안한다. 색상 특징으로는 색상의 공간적인 상관관계를 잘 나타내는 HSI 색상 히스토그램을 선택하였고, 영상의 분할과 질감특성은 각각 Active control와 CWT(Complex wavelet transform)를 사용하였다. 그리고 형태와 위치 특징들은 HSI의 휘도 성분에서 불변 모멘트를 이용하여 추출하였다. 효율적인 유사도 측정을 위해 추출된 특징(색상 히스토그램, Hu 불변 모멘트, CWT)을 결합하여 정확도와 재현율을 측정하였다. www. freefoto.com에서 제공하는 DB를 사용하여 실험한 결과, 제안된 검색엔진은 94.8%의 정확도와 82.7%의 재현율을 가지며 성공적으로 영상 검색 시스템에 응용할 수 있다.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a practical image inspection system that could recognize it correctly, endowing flexibility to the productive field, although the same object for work will be changed in the size and rotated. In this experiment, it selected a fighter, rotating the direction from $30^{\circ}$ to $45^{\circ}$ simultaneously while changing the size from 1/4 to 1/16, as an object inspection without using another hardware for exclusive image processing. The invariant moments, Hu has suggested, was used as feature vector moment descriptor. As a result of the experiment, the image inspection system developed from this research was operated in real-time regardless of the chance of size and rotation for the object inspection, and it maintained the correspondent rates steadily above from 94% to 96%. Accordingly, it is considered as the flexibility can be considerably endowed to the factory automation when the image inspection system developed from this research is applied to the productive field.

  • 최근 생체인식기반의 개인인증은 인증의 자동화와 높은 성능으로 개인인증의 효과적인 방법으로 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 Hu 불변 모멘트에 기초한 장문인식 방법을 제안하였다. 그리고 장문인식 알고리즘의 전체 실행 속도를 높여 효율성 있는 장문인식 시스템을 설계하기 위하여 저해상도(75dpi) 장문이미지$(5.5cm\times5.5cm)$를 사용한다. 제안된 시스템은 두 부분으로 이루어져 있는데 정확한 장문이미지를 획득하기 위한 장문 고정장치와 장문인증을 효과적으로 처리할 수 있는 알고리즘으로 구성되어 있다. 그리고 장문인증 단계는 3회로 제한되며, 그 결과 임계값 0.001일 때 FAR은 $(5.5cm\times5.5cm)$, GAR은 $98.1\%$이다. 이는 [3]과 비교하여, FAR은 $0.002\%$, GAR은 $0.1\%$ 향상되었음을 확인하였다.

  • Shape description and its corresponding matching algorithm is one of the main concerns in MPEG-7. In this paper, a new method is proposed for shape registration of 2D objects for MPEG-7 Shapes are recognized using the Hu statistical moments in frequency domain. The Hu moments are moment-based descriptors of planar shapes, which are invariant under general translation, rotational, scaling, and reflection transformation. The image is transformed into frequency domain using Fourier Transform. Annular and radial wedge distributions fur the power spectra are extracted. Different statistical features (Hu moments) are found f3r the power spectrum of each selected transformed individual feature. The Euclidean distance of the extracted moment descriptors of the features are found with respect to the shapes in the database. The minimum Euclidean distance is the candidate for the matched shape. The simulation results are performed on the test shapes of MPEG-7.

로봇 시각 장치를 이용한 압연코일의 라벨링 자동화 구현 (An implementation of the automatic labeling rolling-coil using robot vision system)

  • In this study an automatic rolling-coil labeling system using robot vision system and peripheral mechanism is proposed and implemented, which instead of the manual labor to attach labels Rolling-coils in a steel mill. The binary image process for the image processing is performed with the threshold, and the contour line is converted to the binary gradient which detects the discontinuous variation of brightness of rolling-coils. The moments invariant algorithm proposed by Hu is used to make it easy to recognize even when the position of the center are different from the trained data. The position error compensation algorithm of six degrees of freedom industrial robot manipulator is also developed and the data of the position of the center rolling-coils, which is obtained by floor mount camera, are transferred by asynchronous communication method. Therefore, even if the position of center is changed, robot moves to the position of center and performs the labeling work successfully. Therefore, this system can be improved the safety and efficiency.

  • A cold & hot rolling coil production line of iron nill consists of a kind of coherent automatic process, but an automatic labelling process still had technical difficulties in the automation of its process. The reason for difficulties in building an automatic process is that quantitative data for each rolled coil from every shipping is not easy to receive from the previous process. it is not possible to apply for a general and simple purpose robot that is actually worked through a taught position to the process because the size and direction of the coi1 has differed on every shipping. From these reasons. we introduce a robot vision system to accept an expected variable situation and to ensure the stability and flexibility of the process. This paper examines a study applied for similar cases and finds the position and direction of relied coil using the moment invariant algorithm proposed by Hu. In addition. the camera calibration and position error compensation algorithm is applied by the analysis of the relationship of transition in a space coordinate system. The construction of a robot vision system proposed by this paper is a more intellectual system than that of the automatic labelling system. which is already used to the Daihen steel nill of NEW JAPAN steel mill co. Ltd in Japan, and shows a better independent operation in the field of production.
