This study was analyzed and researched into each gradual properties of housing owner's decision making, for preservation of traditional scenery and search for the way its succession, on the basis of search of the rural area housing owner and the virtual research data. As a result of this study, public company should care and advertise significance of traditional scenery succession to housing owners and architectural planning offices, because the model what public company has been developed and distributed should not be ignored influence on the process of housing owner's decision making.

Purpose: Long-life housing causes unavoidable cost increase while providing higher durability, flexibility, and repair easiness compare to those of normal apartment. The effectiveness should be evaluated considering the level of passing mandatory Long-life housing Certification System when supplying specific size of apartment complex. Thus, it is essential to identify the estimated costs and the obtainable grade by applying the optional element technologies selectively during the design phase. This study aimed to suggest the technology influence matrix(TIM) to support decision-making of element technologies in planning stage of long-life housing. Method: The technology influence matrix was established based on the property information about applicable element technologies for long-life housing such as construction methods, interface types, cost data, and certification-related characteristics. The usefulness of TIM was verified through case study, in which TIM was applied to the exclusive housing unit and the influences from four areas of quantity, cost, certification, and schedule were identified and calculated. Result: TIMs covering four areas representing the essential planning factors were developed, and are expected to contribute to sound decision-making in planning long-life housing.

The purpose of this study is to identify participation-types of the family in the purchasing decision-making on items of commodities (TV, refrigerator, furniture, passenger car, housing, vacation, saving, husbands’clothing and children’s clothing). The other thing is to find who is major factors in each of the decision-making stages(the recognition of problem, the searching of information, the evaluation of alternatives and purchasing) among the subjects of decision-making (husband, wife, couple combination and family combination). To complete the purpose, the data were collected through questionnaire which 549 wives living in Seoul answered. From the data, frequency, percentage and correspondence analysis were executed by SPSS. The results of this study were briefly summarized as follows; Wives played an important role on all of decision-making stages for refrigerator, furniture, children’s clothing and husbands’clothing. Husbands played an important role on vacation and passenger car. And in case of saving, TV and housing, couple combination played an important role. It means that wives have a major influence on the purchasing process.

The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of demographic and housing life-style variables on evaluation or choice criteria to the decision making for purchasing house. The results of this research were as follows ; 1) In analysis on housing life-style according to demographic variables, it showed that the age group had significant difference in decoration pursuits ; the educational group had significant difference in self-expression ; the income group had significant difference in self-expression and interior function. 2) In analysis on evaluation or choice criteria of decision making for purchasing house according to demographic variables, it showed that : the age group had significant difference in surrounding environment ; the educational group had significant difference in interior environment, interior or exterior facilty, apartment management, economics and surrounding environment ; the income group had significant difference in avail of approach, convenience facilities, apartment management, economics and surrounding environment. 3) In analysis the influence of demographic and housing life-style variables on evaluation or choice criteria to decision making for purchasing house, it was effected on educational level, decoration pursuit, practicality and ostentation in interior environment ; decoration pursuit, self-expression, interior function and practicality in interior or exterior facility ; decoration pursuit, practicality and ostentation in avail ability of approach and convenience facilities ; self-expression, practicality and ostentation in apartment management and economics ; age level, income level, decoration pursuit, self-expression, practicality and ostentation in surrounding environment.

It is the purpose of this study that propose method to estimate weights of decision-making for design concepts considering characteristics of places. In order to acquire these weights of concepts, the investigation with questionnaire by AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) is employed as a mean. Targets of this investigation was 63 respondents which were graduate students(21) and experts of design field(42). As a result, we could find differences between these weights of the relative concepts and know the differences in the weights of design concepts as characteristics of places were reflected. These weights of concepts will be take opinions about concept from design-related members into consideration. Therefore, In design process, the weights of design concepts will help for designer to verify the concepts in design initially, and finally be used by a criteria in decision-making. The Weights of decision-making for design concepts as a result of this study will be used as a guideline for the systematical and conceptual approach in design practice.

An important decision-making element for the success of housing redevelopment projects is a prediction of the profitability of redevelopment. Risk factors influencing profitability were deduced through a review of the literature about profitability and a risk analysis developed by a survey of maintenance projects. In addition, a profitability prediction depending on the analysis of risk factors is necessary to judge the business feasibility of a project in the planning stages. A profitability prediction model of management and disposal method, which is calculated by proportional rate and which helps estimate contributions to profitability, is proposed to prevent difficulties in business development. The proposed model has the potential to prevent interruptions, reduce the length of projects, generate cost savings, and enable rational decision-making during the project period by allowing a judgment of profitability at the planning stage.

The purpose of this study was to find the characteristics of the housing needs of apartment purchasers in derision-making steps. The survey was took place from June to July, 2003 in the Daegu area. The data were collected from 1,187 married women using questionnaires and reponses were analyzed by SPSS Window Program. The results were as follows : 1. In the phase when housing problems are recognized the motives for moving were related to the floor space of the housing unit and the residential environment. 2. In the phase of acquiring information on apartments, the basis of the informations was mostly collected through conversations at model houses, from relatives, experts and real estate agents. 3. In the phase of considering alternative plans for apartment purchases, the factors considered were convenient interior space composition and educational environment for children. 4. In the phase of apartment purchase, the important factors was input from relatives and experts. 5. In the phase of post-purchase evaluation most discontent was related to privacy issues, interior space composition, and educational environment for children.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the effects of social support and, career decision-making self-efficacy on career maturity of adolescents of different gender and grades. Further, it aims to provide basic information for career maturity to create career educational program for adolescents. The participants of the study were 447 middle and high school students who were selected from second grade of five schools in Daegu. All participants were tested on social support, career decision-making self-efficacy and career maturity scale. The results were analyzed using two-way ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Analysis, Regression Analysis with SPSS 18.0. The results of the present research are summarized as follows: first, the results of the ANOVA subscales revealed that there were significant gender and grade main effects and interaction effects of social support, career decision-making self-efficacy and career maturity. Second, the results of the correlation analysis among of the social support, career decision-making self-efficacy and career maturity showed a positive and negative correlation. Third, in terms of the influence of social support, career decision-making self-efficacy had a significant meaningful influence on career maturity. The results of this study can be used as a fundamental reference in career counseling at school for enhancing adolescent's career development and success.

Recently, apartments have had several fundamental problems in planning uniformity caused by fixed space programs and difficulties of maintenance. So decision-makings become more important in design process which were essential to performance realization of long-life housing. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the plans of the Bogeumjari Nae-gok based on the applied designs, and suggests improvements for advanced design process of the long-life housing in the domestic market. This research procedure are as follows: (1) Analyze design guide, district land development plan and local code which have influence on design limitation. (2) Compare partial plans of joined designs and analyze each design characters (3) Implement case studies of design process due to design timetable and design elements of Nae-gok. In result, this study suggests significant fundamental materials for advanced decision-making in design process of long-life housing: details credibility and noise control, etc. This research could be useful in making integrated design process applied for long-life housing.

The purpose of this study is to find the role structure of the family in each step of he purchasing decision-making on 11 items of commodities. The data collected through the questionnaire and 600 respondents were the married men and women in Seoul. The 554 data were analyzed using Frequency Percentile Means and Correspondence analysis. As the results the wives role was the greatest of all in the families role. But in practice regarding costly goods housing or car husbands' role was greater than wives' role. Children indirectly had influence on parents' decision-making especially regarding a computer.
