This study focused on the architectural plan of the pension to meet modem people's desire for rural life, and the result of the study is as follows: First, the architectural plan for the characteristic of the location must apply the various architectural types considering the suburbs, tour and culture town, and community for the location improvement. Second, the architectural plan for the characteristic of the plot requires the encircled space and courtyard between buildings, the private gardens for the rooms, and the consideration of the surrounding environment. Above all, the plan for the subsidiary facilities is the most important. Third, the architectural plan for the characteristic of the plan requires the close connection with the outside, the wide opened view from the guest room, and the individual entrances for the guest rooms. Fourth, the architectural plan for the characteristic of the decorative design must consider the mass separation plan, the application of the facade design factors and eco-friendly environment materials, the night illumination plan, and the space program for the scenic view.

This paper intends to predict characteristic of the balcony space composition in apartment that residents want by analyzing floorplans utilizing balcony that is directly described by housewives in competitions. According to change of age, Modern's lifestyle is variously changed and future housing life may undergo changes continuously. Therefore, development of apartment housing plans is reflected by grasping and collecting space residents desire. Purpose of study is 1) arrangement characteristic of balcony space housewives prefer 2) relations characteristic between balcony and room adjoining balcony 3) characteristic of balcony space composition Through this study, the public space that family use together prefer facing the front side and the kitchen is required to face the front side. Balcony adjoining bedroom is utilized according to user of the bedroom, and independent space like hobby room do not have distinctive relationships with adjacent space. Recent trend that space is reflected in various lifestyle of resident require needs that exercise room for well-being life and other room for various functions. Based upon the study, the results show the basic information and understanding how the plans are supposed to change, particularly to facilitate the usage of the balcony.

The purpose of this study is to make clear the identity of Korean traditional housing. And I'm trying to search characteristics of boundary in Korean traditional housing. In this study, I have analyzed boundary of ‘Gwan-gajung’. It is constructed on a square shaped plan, there is an elegant middle court, and a counter-roofed shrine house in the rear of the inner building. In this study, the definition of boundary is made based on what has been perceived as the proper structure, whose characteristics can be described in terms of openness, inside and outside parts and orientation. As a critical factor to spatial qualities, boundary is closely related with the connection and disconnection, background and atmosphere, and inferior and superior relations and hierarchical order from the view of space. The result of study is like followings. The characteristics of boundary in Korean traditional housing is 1. one way direction of penetrability, 2. having the face and the back 3. orientation 4. duplication.

It is essential to investigate the structure and the main characteristic of Home USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technologies in built ubiquitous environment while designing future residential space. For this study, three different housing types have been selected to implement ubiquitous technologies for residential space; those are regular, elderly, and single residence units. It is certain that efficiency of ubiquitous home design is improved if main components of each specific housing type are analyzed precisely in digital way and design models are prepared accordingly. Ubiquitous technology, in conclusion, has to be applied not on)r with systematical mechanism or electronic setting but in human-centered atmosphere as well, keeping with deep consideration for bio-housing service factors in eco-friendly surrounding; we call this Ubiquitous Humanism.

^x Residential satisfaction by apartment housing type and by location was examined in Seoul Korea for a sample of 303 housewives disaggregated into four housing subgroups. These group differ in their personal characteristic by housing type and location. They showed significant differences in their levels of satisfaction and in their perception and evaluation of several community, neighborhood and housing unit attributes. A regression model of satisfaction for entire sample explain about 45% of the variation, but this conceals the compositional and the contextual differences between groups. Seperate regression for the four groups explain an average of 63% of the variation in residential satisfaction. Residents of high-rise and low-rise apartments both of center and periphery location differ significantly both from each other. Results show that certain dwelling, neighborhood and community context elicit dissatisfaction across the full sample. The objective contextual factor of housing type prove significant in most compositional subsamples, indicating that sources of residential satisfaction are not same in everywhere.

Valve-housing parts in car steering system is a part of steering system and then take charge of the main functions for car steering system to reduce driver's handling-force. Recently it is still not developed reliable casting for many cars, so it produce as a Gravity casting which is more than triple for producing cost in Korea. In this research, we had conducted that 350t aluminum die casting is superior to mechanical property from established over 500t or not for Valve-housing, a parts of steering system which were produced as a cast-iron product and the most suitable conditions to extruding as die casting.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the uses and exterior design of the balconies in urban housing from the ancient times to the 19th century. In doing so, the paper seeks to investigate the cultural identity of the balcony in urban housing. The results are as follow. First, in the urban housing the balcony space were made for protection from the heat, light and ventilation; gardening; views toward the streets, city, waterside, inner court, domain for men; breathing french air; watching ceremony, festivals and events; simple houseworks like drying, carpet cleaning and hair coloring; lever installation and fire escape. Second, as part of exterior design the typical projecting characteristic of the balconies was emphasized and they became an impotent decorative element. The monotonous facade changed to a lively design with a rhythmical sense. On the facade the effects of horizontal movement, symmetry or asymmetry from the main entrance, and the center-projection (rialto) were created. In the urban housing the balconies were used for cultural activities which supplement and enlarge the function of the interior space, and moreover the rich effects of the facade contributed to the creation of attractive urban landscape.

The way we live on our own is distinguished from those of the other countries while the society changes rapidly globalized with the flow. It is called housing culture when culture is discussed in dwelling, what contains living. With the beginning of building Mapo Apartment in 1962, apartment has become the most popular type of housing and currently is provided more than 50% of housing unit in Korea. Even though it has been criticized for a problem of standardization in its form and social issues, its provide increases in its number and its types become hilghly diversified in construction. Therefore the housing culture of apartment should be accepted as a characteristic of our society and it's time to find the identity of our housing culture and make a progress in it. Studies related to apartment are also increased in its number and diversified in its range. The purpose of this study is to go through the trend of studies related to apartment and to analyze subject and content changes according to politic, social and economic changes for the recent 10 years. The study would provide the basic research material related to apartment both to academic area and companies in the future.

Recently, the point of view about housing environment in the city has changed from the traditional point of view of the center of housing to the subject of land- utilization-control for interaction of buildings. Right of light is the center of this issue in other words. Also many interests about the beauties of the city have increasing centering around Europe etc. This is to change a city design into the characteristic design from the exiting uniform design. As if reflect this situation, recently we are setting up the night illumination and constructing a building which acted as Land Mark like the Jong-Ro Tower. And Apartment Housing was being built various form deviate from a existing standardized form and skyline. Existing studies about sunshine of Apartment Housing have dealt with just about a standardized Apartment Housing form. So this study analyzed a recently increasing interest for Right of light and change of sunshine environment on Apartment Housing which have a various skyline form.
