  • This case study surveyed management situations of environmentally friendly farming(EFF) producers' organization and their main activities. Farmers are aging as an average age of 55-year old and producing fruit-bearing vegetables. The EFF did not increase farmer's income, however, price and income was stabilized more than that of conventional farming because of contract farming. Farm household liabilities are caused by purchasing agricultural machinery, materials and so on. Farmers of EFF have been also cultivating conventional farming, but they don't plan much conversion intention of conventional farming into EFF owing to lack of differentiated and stable market for their EFF products. And they are guessing that EFF income will increase a little. For increasing of EFF income, they think that it is necessary to reduce production cost, produce high quality production, develop processing foods, enlarge contract farming and so on.

  • This paper deals with conversion from STL file to Slice cross-sectional information for Stereolithography. The STL file consist of three vertices of triangle and normal vectors in order to represent three dimension shape, but It is very difficult to convert STL file intoSlice file directly, because of file size from one Mbyte to tens of Mbytes. So, The system is accomplished data flow such as neutral.dat, .SL1, .SL2, .SL3, and .SLC file. The data processing is as follows: 1. Create a neutral file including common information. 2. Modify STL file within effective scope of SLA. 3. Calculate a point of intersection between plane equation and line equation. 4. Sort z values by increasing order. 5. Search closed loop by method of singlylinked linear list. The system is developed by using Borland C++ 3.1 compiler in the environment of Pentium PC. We get a satisfactory prototype as a result of application about a lot of household electrical appliances.

  • This paper proposes the planning and design of the Eco-village centering around Chindo-ri, Muju-kun. The Eco-village project has three basic objects the Eco-village residents' lives adapting to ecological principles such as regeneration and circulation, life agricultural techniques based on organic cycle, and residents' harmonious lives with the surrounding nature. For constructing of the Eco-village, first, the subject area was analyzed in terms of the natural and cultural environment and then, on this analytic ground the concrete concept and the specific plan were set up. The following details also should be considered: the scale of the residential household, the population, the space arrangement of the village, the material cycling structure, the waste treatment, the purification of the sewage, the energy supply, the landscape architecture, the production activity, the conservation of the ecosystem and so on.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify residential stress and to analyse the factors affect on it, based on the comprehensive theoretical model. For this purpose, 822 housewives were collected from the households in Seoul and Chonju-City. The main results obtained are as follows. 1. A significant proportion of the urban households surveyed are observed to suffer from residential stressors. The components of residential stressors are housing facilities, family living space, social interaction with the neighborhoods, physical condition of house. 2. Among the factors that affect residential stress the most important household environment factors are, the level of family controllability, which is followed by the family adaptation ability, the size of living space, the level of life satisfaction, and the type of housing tenure. The results of this study implies that residential stress is associated with not only residential size but also the level of housing facilities and social interaction. Overall upgrading of residential quality requires efficient allocation of living space and facilities on the basis of resident's needs. For instance, homeowners want more living space and renters want higher level of residential facilities.

  • This study designed to explore the patterns of housing life-styles and the characteristics of apartment housing residents and to examine the relationships between housing life-styles and the characteristics of apartment-housing residents. The data for this study was collected by questionnaires administered to 278 homemakers living in apartment housing over 20s pyong(66$m^2$) in the Kwangju area. The major findings of this study can be summarized as follows; 1. Housing life-styles were grouped into 9 sub-categories : the Anbang-centered, the dining-centered, the pursuit of conspicuosness and conformity, orientation to change, the pursuit of orderliness, the pursuit of decoration, orientation to community, pursuit of individuality and the orientation to a natural environment. 2. Housing life-styles were significantly different according to age, educational background, and employment status of homemakers, occupation of the primary income provider, family-life cycle stage, total household income, and housing size. • It is said that primary territories such as homes are ercellent examples of how we useterritories to portray ourselves to others. The homes often display openly the personality and values of its occupants. At the same time, as far as childrens' privacy in the household environment is concerned, the range of privacy options generally increases from adolescence on because there is more freedom from parents' supervision at this age period. Children are subject to perpetual intrusion because they are defined as dependents. As long as they continue in this role, they are viewed as, at best, semi-autenomous. In this paper, the authors carried out amd analized some cases specifically to see thestatistical data reported previously more intensively. The results of the analysis are as following; 1) Kids who have bed-rooms of their own(exclusively) seems to be encouraged to invite their friends in more openly and freely than those who share the same bed-room. 2) Social interaction among members of family seems tn be carried cut more frequently and closely in the extended family than in the conjugal family.

  • The purpose of this paper is to find out the factors responsible for purchase of LED (light-emitting-diodes) bulbs & tubes among Indian consumers and how much they are ready to replace their existing lighting system with LED fittings. A multiple regression model has been employed to investigate the factors affecting the buying decision of LED lamps in place of CFL and incandescent lamps. Eleven motives for adopting LED lamps has been identified viz. price, quality, energy saving, durability, brand, promotion, CSR, & environmental consciousness. In addition the effect of demographic variables like gender, age, household income on the purchasing decision of LED has also been examined. A total 150 respondents were contacted visiting different outlet of electrical shops of Northern Delhi. The study may helpful for the companies to decide their marketing strategies to promote LED Lamps among the consumers with an aim to save energy and save environment.

  • Currently most of underground structures in domestic apartment projects are being designed for parking lot and essential parking area is growing due to the increase in car-holding number per household. Moreover, most underground parking lots of today are combined with basement, therefore a pleasant environment in underground space is strongly needed for the dwellers' use. However, there always occur high percentage of humidity and surface condensation in underground parking lot because of the nature of underground structure and they are having a bad influence on the comfort and health of dwellers. Therfore, this study is planned to compare and examine the porformance and properties of currently used construction methods to prevent condensation and finally present the most suitable method.

  • Wireless home theater and speaker system was designed. That has 20W output per channel, 0.1% THD (Total Harmonic Distortion) and automatic algorithm avoiding noise. The 3D stereophonic sound was realized through the wireless 5.1channel speaker system designed. That could be secured 0.4% improvement effect of THD compared with wire speaker systems. Specially in transfer sound with wireless, Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum was superior than Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum in household electric appliances and wireless internet environment that radiated noise similar with ISM Band using 2.4GHz.

  • Korea is facing a serious elderly problem, because the elderly population and households have been increasing radically. To cope with the coming elderly problem, social welfare services and elderly housing need to be carefully prepared. Especially, elderly housing has been recognized to be promising to solve the great portion of the problem. In this point of view, I attempted, in this study, to show the theoretical bases on the residential environment for the elderly households and their residential consciousness. I make a survey of residential consciousness of the elderly on 575 Koreans aged 60 or more, and analyze the difference of residential consciousness of them by regional comparison of the elderly. The result of this study will be expected to be a reference to the housing planning for the elderly household in Korea.
