우리나라 파프리카 수출단지 및 선과장의 병해충 조사 (The pests survey of paprika export complexes and packing house in Korea)

  • The disease and insect were surveyed locally in greenhouse, fruit packing house and store house of 51 farms in 13 towns having purpose of paprika exportation. By analysis, various disease and insect were not only founded locally but more ones detected in farms having old facilities and no natural enemy. We found 15 pathogens such as Fusarium spp., Alternaria solani, Leveilluila taurica, PepMV (Pepino mosaic virus) and TMV (Tobacco mosaic virus) in greenhouse, Fusarium spp. in fruit packing house and Penicillium spp. in store house. We found 15 insects in greenhouse such as Bemisia tabaci, rialeurodes vaporariorum and Myzus persicae in greenhouse, Hylobitelus haroldi in fruit packing house. However, the problem quarantine disease and insect for importation and exportation were not detected in inspection time.

  • 재배시기, 시설형태 그리고 시설내 계배위치에 따른 가상환경의 차이와 이에 따른 양액계배 오이의 생장 반응을 알아보기 위하여 여름재배와 억제재배, 1-2W형 하우스와 무기둥 하우스에 양액계배를 통해 오이를 패배한 후 시설내 부위별 기온, 상대습도, 일사량과 생장해석을 통해 얻어진 생리적 형질들을 조사하여 비교한 결과는 다음과 같다. 하우스 내부의 평균기온이나 평균상대습도는 하우스 형태간 유의한 차이가 없었으나 일사량은 1-2W형 하우스가 무기둥 하우스에 비해 유의하게 높았다. 일누적일사량은 1-2W형에서는 남서쪽이 무기둥 하우스에서는 북서쪽이 대체로 높았다. 초장과 엽수는 억제재배보다 여름재배에서 높게 나타났으며 엽면적은 억제재배에서 많았다. 상대생장율은 순동화율 및 엽면적비율과 고도로 유의한 정의 상관관계를 보였으며 상대생장율에 대한 기여도는 순동화율이 엽면적비율보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 작물생장율은 엽면적지수와 고도로 유의한 정의 상관을 보여 엽면적지수의 증대가 단위면적당 생산량의 증대에 크게 영향하는 것으로 나타났다. 전 생육기간의 일평균기온는 상대생장을 및 순동화율과 고도로 유의한 정의 상관관계가 있었다. 억제재배에서는 전 생육기간의 누적일사량과 상대생장을 및 순동화율과 유의한 정의 상관관계가 있었다.

Production of Virus Free Seeds using Meristem Culture in Tomato Plant under Tropical Conditions

  • Protocol was established for production of virus free healthy seeds using meristem ($0.3-0.5\;\cal{mm}$ in size) culture and field management under net house condition in tomato. The isolated meristem was found well established in MS liquid medium containing $0.1\;\cal{mg}\;1^{-1}\;of\;GA_3$. For shoot and root development either from primary meristem or from nodal segment of meristem derived plants, semisolid MS medium having $0.5\;\cal{mg}\;1^{-1}$ of IBA was found most effective. The elimination of the studied viruses (ToMV, CMV, ToLCV) in meristem-derived plants was confirmed by DAS-ELISA test. For field management of the virus eradicated meristem-derived plants, use of net house was found very effective measures to check viral vector visit and eventually infection. The meristem-derived plants were vigor and high yielder than the native seed derived plants and produced healthy seeds. Due to stop vector visit, no viral symptoms were observed in both $R_1\;and\;R_2$ plants cultivated in net house condition. Starting of viral infestation was observed in $R_2$ generation when they were planted in open house condition without control of vector visit. Therefore, for management of viral diseases, use of virus free meristem derived plantlets and their subsequent cultivation in soil under net house condition without using any vector killing insecticide can be recommended for producing healthy seeds in tomato. The developed protocol for environmentally healthy tomato seed production in Bangladesh may be used in the countries having similar tropical like environment conducive for viral vector visit.

Effect of Light Receiving rate on Growth and Quality of Ginseng Cultivated in Plastic House

  • Ginseng is a shade-plant cultivated using shading facilities. However, at too low light levels, root growth is poor, and at high light levels, the destruction of chlorophyll reduces the photosynthesis efficiency due to leaf burn and early fall leaves. The ginseng has a lightsaturation point of 12,000~15,000 lux when grown at 15 to 20℃ and 9,500 lux at 25℃. This study was conducted to select the optimal light intensity of 3-year-old ginseng grown in blue-white film plastic house. The seeds were planted in the blue-white film plastic house with different light receiving rate (March 17, 2020). Between April and September, the average air temperature in the house was 20.4-20.7℃. Average soil temperature was 18.3℃-18.5℃. The chemical properties of the test soil was as follows. The pH level was 7.0-7.4, EC was 0.5-0.6 dS/m, OM was at the levels of 33.6-37.7 g/kg, P2O5 was 513.0-590.8 mg/kg, slightly higher than the allowable 400 mg/kg. The amount of light intensity, illuminance, and solar radiation in the blue-white film house was increased as the light-receiving rate increased and the amount of light intensity was found to be 9-14% compared to the open field, 8-13% illuminance and 9-14% solar irradiation respectively. The photosynthesis rate was the lowest at 3.1 µmolCO2/m2/s in the 9% light blue-white plastic house and 4.2 and 4.0 µmolCO2/m2/s in the 12% and 14% light blue-white plastic house, respectively. These results generally indicate that the photosynthesis of plants increases with the amount of light, but the ginseng has a lower light saturation point at high temperatures, and the higher the amount of light, the lower the photosynthetic efficiency. The SPAD (chlorophyll content) value decreased as the increase of light-receiving rate, and was the highest at 32.7 in 9% light blue-white plastic house. Ginseng germination started on April 11 and took 13-15 days to germinate. The overall germination rate was 82.9-85.8%. The plant height and length of stem were long in the 9% light-receiving plastic house. The diameter of stem was thick in the 12-14% light-receiving plastic house. In the 12% and 14% light-receiving plastic house, the length and diameter of taproot was long and thick, so the fresh weight of root per plant was 20 g or more, which was heavier than 16.9 g of the 9% light-receiving plastic house. The disease incidence (Alternaria blight, Gray mold and Damping-off etc.) rate were 0.9-2.7%. The incidence of Sclerotinia rot disease was 7.5-8.4%, and root rot was 0-20.0%. The incidence ratio of rusty root ginseng was 34.4-38.7% level, which was an increase from the previous year's 15% level.

모밀(Fagopyrum esculentum Moench)생장과정중의 유리 Amino 산과 당질의 성장에 관하여 (The Variation of the Contents of Free Amino Acids and the Carbohydrates in the Whole Plant of Fagopyrum escullentum Moench during the Stages of Growing)

  • At the different growing stages of Fagopyrum esculentum Moench planted at the green house and out doors, the contents of free amino acids in the whole plants,were determined quantitatively by spot-extract colorimetric method (J. Awapara method) using the chromatograms obtained by the ion-exchange resin and paper chromatographic method. And the contents of carbohydrate in the whole plant were determined by Bertrand method. The results were summarized as follows. 1. Almost same kinds of free amino acids were detected in the both plants. 2. Concentrations of most amino acids was increased progressively during growth; further growth was accompanied by decreased concentrations. 3. Rate of growth and increasing of total amino acid content of green house plant is greater than that of out dorrs plant. 4. At the same stages of gwoth, total free amino acid content of green house plant is higher than that of out doors plant but sugar content is lower. 5. There was rapidly increasing of sugar content and decreasing of total free amino acid content except asparagine during mature of seeds.

농업용 비닐하우스의 온풍난방에 관한 기초적 연구 (Study on the Vinyl House Heating by Warm Air)

  • The results obtained are as follows; 1. The variation of the temperature in a vinyl house without heating system is similar to that of air temperature in a day. The difference of maximum temperature and minimum one in a day is 27$^{\circ}C$ which is two times greater than the daily difference of air temperature. 2. When the length of the duct is increased, the high temperature zone is built up in the direction of warm air discharge from the duct, and the low temperature zone is built up in the opposite direction of warm air discharge. But, in case of the duct length is short (0.05 L), the temperature distrubution in a vinyl house become uniform. It is concluded that the shorter length of the duct, the better the distribution of the temperature in a vinyl house is. 3. When the duct is installed at high position, the high temperature zone is built up in the upper zone of the vinyl house and the low temperature zone is built up in the lower zone. And when the position of the duct is low, the rate of temperature variation along the vertical direction become high, and the direct contact of warm air with the plant in the house is occured. It is concluded that the duct should be installed at the position of slightly higher than the plant height. 4. When the fuel consumption rate is fixed at the 101/hr, the lowest temperature warming rate in the vinyl house is 5$^{\circ}C$ without regard to the air temperature.

  • The Load Rejection to House Load test at 100% power was successfully performed during the YGN 4 PAT period. In this test, all plant control systems automatically controlled the plant from 100% power to house load operation mode. The LTC code, which was used in the performance analysis during the design process of YGN 3&4, predictions of the test agreed with the measured data demonstrating the validity of the code as well as the completeness of the plant design.

참깨 재배조건에 따른 생육과 품질 (Growth and Seed Quality as Affected by Growing Condition in Sesame)

  • 참깨 재배조건에 따른 생육과 수량 및 품질 차이를 구명하고자 수행한 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 비닐하우스 재배가 노지 재배에 비해 개화기가 빠른 반면 성숙기가 늦어 생식생장기간이 길었다. 또한 경장과 착삭부위장이 매우 길었다 한편 주당삭수가 많고 천립중이 무거워 수량이 57%가량 많았다. 2. 비닐하우스 재배에서는 6월 8일 파종구가 5월 9일 파종 구에 비해 착삭부위장이 길었다. 그리고 주당삭수가 많고 천립중이 무거웠다. 또한 착삭 상단부위 등숙율이 높고 착삭 중, 하단부위 천립중이 무거우나 수량은 비슷하였다. 3. 노지 재배에서는 5월 9일 파종구가 6월 8일 파종구에 비해 유효분지수와 주당삭수가 많았다. 그러나 착삭 상, 중단부위의 등숙율이 낮고 천립중이 가벼워 수량은 비슷하였다. 4. 종실의 $L^*$값은 재배조건에 따라 차이가 없었고 $a^*$값은 비닐하우스 재배에서 높았으나 $b^*$값은 노지 재배에서 높게 나타났다 그리고 파종기간 색차($\Delta E^*{ab}$)는 노지 재배에서 가장 높게 나타났다. 5. 비닐하우스 재배에서는 수용성 성분인 세사미놀 배당체 함량이 높고, 노지 재배에서는 세사민과 세사몰린 함량이 높게 나타났다.

Spatial and Temporal Distribution of a Biocontrol Bacterium Bacillus licheniformis N1 on the Strawberry Plants

  • Spatial and temporal distribution of Bacillus licheniformis N1 was investigated over time on the leaves, petioles and crowns of the strawberry plants. Bacterial population on the strawberry plants was quantified over time by selective plating. Bacterial population of N1 containing a plasmid pWH43G carrying green fluorescent protein (GFP) declined relatively faster on the plant surface as compared to the Strain N1 itself. However, this result was found to be enough to utilize the strain to visualize bacterial colonization on the plant surface. When B. licheniformis N1 was treated together with Silwet L-77 at 0.03%, the bacterial population on plant surface persisted for up to 7 days. B. licheniformis N1 (pWH43G) containing Silwet L-77 was applied on the strawberry plants and the GFP expressing bacteria were visualized by confocal laser scanning microscopy. Bacterial persistence was also investigated in a growth chamber and in a plastic house after N1 bioformulation treatment on the strawberry plant. The Strain N1 colonized three different tissues well and persisted over 3 to 5 days on the strawberry plants. They formed bacterial aggregates on plant surfaces for at least 3 days, resulting in a biofilm to resist fluctuating plant surface environment. However, the bacterial persistence dramatically declined after 7 days in all tested tissues in a plastic house. This study suggest that B. licheniformis N1 colonizes the strawberry plant surface and persists for a long time in a controlled growth chamber, while it can not persist over 7 days on the plant surface in a plastic house.
