This paper describes how to derive audit criterion, audit domain, detail technology, and functional check items which are core of hospital information system, consisting of OCS, EMR, and PACS. Using the check items listed above, we investigated the objective validity for the construction audit of hospital information system. As a result, the derived audit criterion, audit domain, detail technology, and functional check items were verified as check items for audit. Since using the current audit check items of public area is insufficient to construct efficient, reliable, and stable hospital information system, we suggest adopting the hospital information system audit area, audit check items, and process that are presented in this paper.

Some of the large sized companies have taken parts in a hospital business with a view or justification to improve medical care regadless of the disadvantageous fee-for-service medical insurance reimbursement system controlled by authorities related. This gradually brought about the financial difficulties to university hospitals as well as general hospitals that were less competitive. In this circumstance the hospital administrators are called for preparing and implementing proper financial strategies by analyzing external circumstances and internal abilities of their hospitals. In this aspect, an effective cost-analysis system in the hospital has been needed for years. K-University hospital developed the practical cost-analysis system and applied it to the hospital management. The effects of cost analysis system are as belows: first, the trend of the monthly revenue per medical specialist from March to July in 1996 showed increasing pattern which is different from that in past years. second, it turned out that the department of functional laboratory in relation to medical treatment enlarged the medical revenue very sharply. third, the intensive care units were being operated at the state of deficit, while other general wards were lucrative.

This study is a proposal of quality scale and measurement for the Mobile Hospital Information System Usability used to the Chungnam National University Hospital in Daejeon Korea. This study is to provide decision- making guideline for hospital managers and to provide feedback for the users' information needs in Mobile Hospital Information System. The target people of the study were medical doctors in Chungnam National University Hospital. The service contexts of usability were request of medical Care, Vital sign check of Patient, Care Agreement of Patient, Blood management, Check of care state, Sign of choice doctors, Query of doctor order and patient measurement result. The Usability factors were the efficiency, effectiveness and satisfaction of quality model ISO9241-11. This study shows that the Mobile HIS is used for the communication and education between doctor and patients. Especially, The Care Agreement of Patient is a part of the most utilized in the Mobile HIS.

This study suggests a Causal Loop Diagram(CLD) of Causality Mechanism which are intergrating matter of for-profit hospital, non-for profit hospital, healthcare development, national medical spending. To coordinate each part theory, we suggest more developed medical system in our study. In today's hospital-management, information system and the information by it will be a necessary administrative materials of organization with man-power, funds, equipment and resources. This study is for figuring out steps to utilize information-system, an important strategy to grow the hospital applying to the change of surroundings, improving the service for patients, accelerating medical examination, improving it in quality and suggesting a basis be able to manage it effectively by putting information system in practice such as economic effect by shorting time and the effect of medical study by computerizing clinical data. And the result of it is as follows: From the Nolan's 6 step - model about the degree using information system in hospital-management, the 1st group of hospital-size came to 1st and 2nd step, the 2nd group to the 3rd and 4th step and the 3rd group to the 5th and 6th step, which correspond to the survey- results that information system increases with the size of the hospital to propagation, regulation and integration step and that the number of the hospital developing to the step managing information is increasing.

We assess service delivery system for outpatients of general hospital(A) using service blueprint. Service blueprint for outpatients' service process currently being implemented in general hospital(A) is analysed to improve hospital services and define hospital service delivery system more accurately. In addition, comparative analysis of service blueprint between before and after improvement is conducted to find that health care services Is now more customer-oriented and hospital employees can link their duties to service delivery system. Dealing with the efficiency of health care service delivery system based on service blueprint analysis is expected to pave the way for continual service quality improvement of general hospitals in the future. The analysis of service blueprint of outpatients' service process suggested in this study is useful for setting strategies for health care service. It also helps service process design and service digitalization of other general hospitals in the future.

Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the differences of knowledge, perception, and performance between the points of time before and after ICU nurses had the backrest elevation education. Method: The study subjects were 58 nurses at a medical and surgical ICU of one general Y hospital located in Seoul. They received the education, including backrest elevation guideline and related education materials. Data were collected from May 11 throughout August 12, 2007 with a structured questionnaire. Results: 1) There were significant differences in the mean scores of knowledge(2.21 at pre-education, 5.24 at post-education), perception(36.96 at pre-education, 53.36 at post-education), and performance(32.08 at pre-education, 43.51 at post-education), 2) There was a significant correlation between nurse's perception and performance (p=.000). 3) The nurse's perception regarding the importance of the back rest elevation education was significantly effective on their performance (p=.000). Conclusion: The backrest elevation education would contribute to improve ICU nurse's knowledge, perception and performance. The more the nurses would consider the importance of this education, the better they would perform the nursing intervention of backrest elevation.

This study is aimed at investigated and compared the differences in the affect of hospital specialization according to hospital size using claims data of the Health Insurance and Review Assessment National Inpatient Sample in 2018 for diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue. To this end, we used multivariate hierarchical linear models(a.k.a., multi-level models) using two-tier data from 106,599 patients discharged after diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue from 734 hospitals. Multivariate results indicate that patients who were discharged with diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue from specialized hospitals with 200 beds or less stayed shorter and paid less inpatient charge than those who were discharged from less specialized hospitals. But for hospitals with 201-300 beds, no positive impact relationship was found between hospital specialization and operational performance. This finding may be limited evidence that the affect of a hospital's specialization strategy may vary depending on the size of the hospital. We discussed several managerial and health policy implications below.

The purpose of this research is to suggest how to develop the internet homepage of the general hospital. The research was operated with 72 general hospitals which were titled 'general hospital' by subject in internet web search engine. The contents of general hospital homepage was studied by internet screen. On the other hand, It was surveyed for homepage operation by mail questionaire. The contents was mainly composed with (1) introduction of hospital (2) medical examination and the treatment-related information (3) the information & communication (4) the general medicare service, specialist & employee service. In order to operate homepage effectively, inquiry system, reservation system, consulting, information search, phone number, etc, web database shall be established inside of hospital homepage which will link compatible with computer database in hospital. Human resources employment & purchasing order system used by a enterprise shall be in consideration of adopting, since it has various merits in light of hospital management.
