This thesis is a case study of hospital design corresponding to substance of hospital components. The substance of each divisions and functional elements of hospital architecture is analyzed and the appropriate forms corresponding to each substance are tried in design. The researcher is convinced, that healthcare facilities for patients must be differently designed from post-modernism or deconstructivism. He suggests new design method in designing of jeju university hospital competition.

Hospital design technology of Korea has recently been exported to underdeveloped countries through the EDCF business. This business reflects our high technology of the hospital design and the regional features that reflect the natural environments, the architectural features and the architectural technology of underdeveloped countries. In accordance with the trend of the global environmental-friendly design market, introduction of environmental-friendly design is needed in the project of hospital for underdeveloped countries. A result of examining the Bangladesh case, the hospital design for the underdeveloped countries already contains a lots of environmental-friendly design elements which have lots of effect. In addition, these environmental elements already contains the advantage and efficiency of operation. Thus, for the success of the hospital design project of the international assistance business, it is necessary actively to discover the environmental-friendly design elements of the region, and to survey the environmental-friendly construction of the region and to make the guidelines of environmental-friendly hospital design during the feasibility study phase.

The concept of the Hospital run for medical treatment changing to the forms of theme complex hospital with design by the impact of a boutique design. Especially, this design's element emboss with strongly to form a ring around the special hospital as the dentistry, dermatology and plastic surgery, the woman hospital of a lying-in hospital etc. that is the higher value-added industrial among groups of medical, even general hospital that is not depend on the design relatively, the application of the interior design is extending farther. Also, this special hospital shape up become bigger, form a group and competition for admission to medical industry. For dentistry, the more departmentalize and definite service as implant, children dental clinic holding an absolute dominant position about management, and effective environmental exchange can be essential element for the most profits. Accordingly, In this study I would like to see about the space composition of the dentistry that changing with the times, suggest direction from now on the bigger, specialization and a characteristic of a space focused on recently dentistry project.

In the recent years, with a purpose to provide visual and psychological stability to patients and hospital users, Affordance design theory based on perceptual psychological thought has been applied as hospital design. In the past, hospital service design was focused on but Affordance design theory focuses on the patients' experience and methodological research on . The characteristics of the application of Affordance design in the case of patients' experience and service point is as follows:- Firstly, Affordance design is applied when the objective of the patient's experience and the functionality of the object are combined. In other words, affordance design is a condition that arises when encounter between service contact point and patients' experience takes place. Secondly, In the field of Hospital service design, Affordance concepts in and its application can be divided on the functions of experience, cognition and sense following the application of Affordance concepts in Hospital service design. Thirdly, Affordance design method sets meaning of the action received through information provided by morphological features. The condition and surrounding has to be designed in a way that it can induce active behavior of the patient. This study has significance as it has been studied from the perspectives of Affordance theory of design psychology in addition to the physical environment of the hospital, the point of interaction between the hospital and patient, along with the elements of experience design. This study proposes the necessity of analytical study in the field of service design implementation considering various stakeholders in the service contact points of small and medium hospitals in Korea. Furthermore, study of the application of Affordance design can be complemented by reflecting the size of hospitals, the characteristics of specialties, and the specific service environment of each hospital can also be conducted.

Recently general hospitals in Korea have been actively remodeled. Remodeling is required to extend the hospitals' area and to meet the new medical demand. Eventually it aims for achieving ideal healing environment. Seoul National University Bundang Hospital has also developed the schematic design to open the new hospital in 2012. This large scale of extension is the first step in its expected remodeling cycle. It is essential for the extension of hospital to create an architectural system on the basis of function, and to keep the balance with both the existing buildings and natural context simultaneously. To connect the existing hospital and the new hospital, a hospital street should be designed to make it function as a main pedestrian spine. Space design marketing of general hospital is effective in promoting the hospital image. It can be realized by emphasizing hospital identity through combining cultural program and commercial facilities. Developing hospital design should be encouraged under the EBD (Evidence Based Design) concept spread in USA.

A major factor in making current hospital gowns is how to manage patients from the standpoint of hospitals. This shows that hospital gowns have not been considered as an apparel for a specific purpose with a design that considers the psychological composure of patients. This study, along with a meticulous analysis of the pattern design of domestic hospital gown suggests a design philosophy that can be of emotional help to patients. The analysis of hospital gowns in terms of motif is that the corporate identity of the hospital in question, along with the lettering symbolizing the hospital is conspicuous. The motif shown in the pattern also has a brightness contrast and two-way pattern. This study suggests hospital gown patterns as follows. First, on the basis of color dynamics, utilize repetition arrangement, camaieu arrangement and faux camaieu arrangement. Second, make use of warm colors in order to enhance trust between patients and medical staff. Last, use green color as a dominant color for the hospital to be felt of as a convenient space. Utilizing these three factors in the future design of hospital gowns will assist in the development of new hospital gowns that render a psychological composure.

Recent hospital building design considers not only its functional space composition but also contemplates "patient focused concept" in the early design stage. It is also called "hospital unlike hospital" and, usually, architects put their effort in building's exterior design to serve the coziness for patients. This study aims to define concepts on Hospital Design Focused on System to respond to the development and change by comparing general design methods of the General hospital architecture in Korea and analyze elements suitable to concepts on Hospital Design Focused on System in the General hospital architecture through examining the transformation of General hospitals in Korea. Essential architectural elements composing the Hospital Design Focused on System are as follows. First of all, the elements which can react to development of hospital architecture are HOSPITAL STREET and site situation. Secondly, core, equipment shaft, column, MAIN STREET and air handling unit room are elements of great importance as the location of these elements determines the dimensions and scale of the space which hospital functions are assigned to. Third, the area in regard to the rate of change is formed by MAIN STREET, which is the primary element, and envelope. The depth between MAIN STREET and envelope is defined as space depth. The flexible area is determined depending on this space depth and thus how to set up this flexible area determines the degree of readiness in responding to the change.

The purpose of this study is for development textile design and making fabric actually for dementia patients hospital clothing using symbol which has social care meaning. For achievement the aim, process and research methods were as follows. First the symbol design was developed. Second the symbol was applied as textile design for dementia patients hospital clothing. Symbol design was under processed with a letter 'Alzheimer' and meanings as like 'love', 'happiness' 'care' 'hope' and 12 design samples were developed by CAD and photoshop. Total 15 evaluation members chose 2 design samples. The 2 design sample were practically arrangement 7 textile design pattern with ground different colors. And finally 3 design pattern and 3 colorway were selected and add white ground. Totally 7 textile design was printed on 100% cotton, 20 yarn count, 1/2 twill. Therefore this new textile design for dementia patient's hospital clothing can be used in medical clinically and the symbol can be use for daily care item for the patients more comfort and high quality in their lives in hospital.
