탄소섬유/Epoxy 샌드위치 복합재판넬의 기계적 취부특성평가 (Properties of Mechanical Joint by Carbon Fiber/Epoxy Sandwich Composite Panels)

  • This paper was about experimental test properties by mechnical joint of CF1263/Epoxy Al honeycomb panels. In case of mechanical joint using screw, nut shall be secured over than minimize third screw pitch. In case of insert backsheet for increase of joint force, increase weight for assemble by screw pitch. In case of insert backsheet with CF1263/Epoxy, predominant save weight and minimazer of displacement by tensile weight moreover predominant strength. In case of mechanical joint by rivet, rivet of Monobolt has over-hole in hole of CF1263/Epoxy but rivet of PROTRUDING has predominant of mechanical joint.

알루미늄샌드위치 초고속 카훼리의 구조설계 (Structural Design of Aluminum Sandwich High Speed Car-ferry)

  • 초고속선의 구조설계에 있어서 가장 중요한 요소중의 하나가 구조부재에 대한 경량화이며, 이점에서 최근 알루미늄하니콤 샌드위치판이 초고속선의 선각재료로서 주목을 받고있다. 본 논문에서는 80미터급 초고속 카훼리에 대한 시설계를 통하여 알루미늄 샌드위치판의 초고속선의 선각재료로서의 유용성을 확인코져 한다. 이를위해, 먼저 사례연구 대상선박의 사양을 정하고, 기존의 알루미늄 보강판 방식과 샌드위치 방식으로 구조설계를 수행, 이들의 설계결과를 비교함으로써 샌드위치구조의 구조경량화 가능성을 검증코져 한다. 선박의 경제성을 검토하기 위해서 선박건조비 및 운항비를 포함한 전체비용을 두가지 방식에 대하여 정량적 비용분석을 수행코져 한다. 끝으로, 현재 초고속대형선의 선각재료로서 알루미늄하니콤 샌드위치판이 사용되지 못했던 원인과 앞으로 해결해야할 과제들에 대해서 고찰하였다.

과학위성1호 비행모델 Bake-Out 시험결과 분석

  • 한국항공우주연구원 위성시험동에 설치된 Bake-Out 챔버를 통하여 과학위성 1호 비행모델(STSAT-1FM)에 대한 Bake-Out 시험이 수행되었다. 본 시험은 시험 후에 장착될 FIMS라는 광학장비에 영향을 미칠 Outgassing Rate의 측정 및 고온에서의 Bake-Out을 통한 오염물질 제거에 목적을 둔 시험으로 총 10일여 동안 시험이 수행되었다. Honeycomb Panel 및 Harness에 대한 시험(Batch 1), 조립된 비행모델에 대한 Bake-Out(batch 2), 그리고 part별로 펼쳐진 상태로의 Bake-Out 시험(Batch 3), 총 세 번의 시험으로 이루어졌다. 각각의 시험에 대하여 TQCM(Thermoelectric Quartz Crystal Microbalance) 및 RGA(Residual Gas Analyzer)를 통하여 Outgassing 물질에 대한 정량적, 정성적 측정 및 분석이 이루어졌다.

통신 안테나용 허니콤 샌드위치 구조물의 충격 손상에 관한 연구 (Impact Damage of Honeycomb Sandwich Antenna Structures)

  • The impact response and damage of CLAS panel was investigated experimentally. The facesheet material used was RO4003 woven-glass hydrocarbon/ceramic and the core material was Nomex honeycomb with a cell size of 3.2mm and a density of 96 kg/㎥. The shield plane used was RO4003 and 2024-T3 aluminum. Static indentation and impact test was conducted to characterize the type and extent of the damage observed in two CLAS panels, and the performance of antenna used in a wireless LAN system. Correlation of peak contact force, residual indentation and the delamination area shows impact damage of the panel with an aluminum shield plane is larger than that of the panel with RO4003 shield plane, although the former is more penetration resistant. The damage was observed by naked eye, ultrasonic inspection and cross sectioning. The shape and size of delamination was estimated by ultrasonic inspection, and the area of delamination linearly increases as impact energy increases. The performance of impact damaged antenna was estimated by measuring return loss and radiation pattern. It was revealed that the performance of antenna was related to the impact damage and there was a threshold that the performance of antenna fell as impact energy level changed. The threshold was between the impact energies of 1.5J and 1.75J.

  • Recently, with development of mechanics of materials, as pursuing the high speed of the ships, a demanding of composite construction which satisfies high strength and low weight at the same time is iner casing. A sandwich element is a type of composite construction, which is composed of thin, strong, stiff and relatively high density faces and a think, light, and weaker core material. As 2nd moment is increased by faces is separated from the neutral axis farther, a sandwich element is most effective light structural form. In this paper, the make a comparative study Aluminum Honeycomb Sandwich Panel(AHSP) and Aluminum Pyramid Sandwich Panel(APSP).

Design of Composite Multilayer Surface Antenna Structure and Its Bending Fatigue Characteristics

  • The present study aims to design a multilayer microstrip antenna with composite sandwich construction and investigate fatigue behavior of this multilayer SAS (surface antenna structure) that was asymmetric sandwich structure for the next generation of structural surface technology. This term, SAS, indicates that the structural surface becomes an antenna. Constituent materials were selected considering electrical properties, dielectric constant and tangent loss as well as mechanical properties. For the antenna performance, antenna elements inserted into structural layers were designed for satellite communication at a resonant frequency of 12.2 GHz. From electrical measurements, it was shown that antenna performances were in good agreement with design requirements. In cyclic 4-point bending, flexure behavior was investigated by static and fatigue test. Fatigue life curve of the SAS was obtained. The experimental results of bending fatigue were compared with single load level fatigue life prediction equations and in good agreement. The SAS concept is can be extended to give a useful guide for manufacturers of structural body panels as well as antenna designers.

새로운 형상의 복합재 샌드위치 체결부 구조의 파손거동 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Failure of a Novel Composite Sandwich Structure)

  • 본 논문에서는 두께와 재료의 구성이 변하는 복잡한 형상의 복합재 샌드위치 구조의 파손 거동을 연구하였다. 구조물은 두께가 일정한 알루미늄 하니콤 코어 샌드위치 판넬이, 두께가 줄어드는 폼코어 샌드위치 천이부를 거쳐, 최종적으로는 면재와 면재가 만나 단순 적층판을 이루면서 다른 구조물에 체결되는 형상을 갖는다. 하중은 인장 및 압축하중의 형태로 가해지며 각 3개씩 총 6개 시편에 대한 시험을 수행하였다. 시험 결과 압축시험의 경우 재료불연속선을 따른 면재의 파손에 취약하며, 재료불연속선을 따른 파손을 피할 수 있는 경우 알루미늄 코어와 카본 면재의 디본딩에 의한 파손이 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 파손하중은 디본딩에 의한 파손까지 견디는 경우가 약 16% 높게 나타났다. 인장시험의 경우 파손모드는, 곡률부를 갖는 복합재 구조물에서 가장 취약한 부분인, 플랜지와 웹이 만나는 곡률부의 층간분리 파손이 주를 이루었다. 파손하중은 압축하중이 인장하중에 비하여 약7배 가량 높은 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 구조물은 주로 압축하중을 견디기 위한 목적의 구조물에 적용하여야 할 것으로 보인다.

Study on the Performance of Infrared Thermal Imaging Light Source for Detection of Impact Defects in CFRP Composite Sandwich Panels

  • Recently, composite materials have been mainly used in the main wings, ailerons, and fuselages of aircraft and rotor blades of helicopters. Composite materials used in rapid moving structures are subject to impact by hail, lightning, and bird strike. Such an impact can destroy fiber tissues in the composite materials as well as deform the composite materials, resulting in various problems such as weakened rigidity of the composite structure and penetration of water into tiny cracks. In this study, experiments were conducted using a 2 kW halogen lamp which is most frequently used as a light source, a 2 kW near-infrared lamp, which is used for heating to a high temperature, and a 6 kW xenon flash lamp which emits a large amount of energy for a moment. CFRP composite sandwich panels using Nomex honeycomb core were used as the specimens. Experiments were carried out under impact damages of 1, 4 and 8 J. It was found that the detection of defects was fast when the xenon flash lamp was used. The detection of damaged regions was excellent when the halogen lamp was used. Furthermore, the near-infrared lamp is an effective technology for showing the surface of a test object.

가정변형률 솔리드 요소를 이용한 복합재 샌드위치 평판의 저속충격 해석 (Analysis of low-velocity impact on composite sandwich panels using an assumed strain solid element)

  • 본 논문에서는 저속충격을 받는 복합재 샌드위치 평판의 동적 거동에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 접촉 하중의 산출을 위해서 Hertz의 접촉법칙을 새로이 수정하는 방법을 제시했는데, 지수를 줄이는 방법과 심재의 두께방향의 탄성계수의 값을 줄여 등가 탄성계수를 계산하는 방법을 사용했다. 접촉하중을 산출하는 비선형 방정식은 Newton-Raphson 방법을 사용하여 계산하였고, 시간적분에는 Newmark-beta 방법을 사용하였다. 이러한 기법과 18절점 가정변형률 솔리드 요소를 적용하여 저속충격 해석용 유한요소 프로그램을 개발했다. 이 프로그램을 이용하여 다양한 복합재 샌드위치 평판의 저속충격에 대한 동적 거동을 해석하였다. 제안된 접촉법칙을 적용한 해석결과를 분석하여 볼 때, 대부분의 경우에서 접촉하중과 접촉시간이 실험결과와 대체로 일치함을 확인하였다.

굽힘하중을 받는 준 카고메 트러스 샌드위치 판재의 파손선도와 최적설계변수의 도출 (Failure Maps and Derivation of Optimal Design Parameters for a Quasi-Kagome Truss Sandwich Panel Subjected to Bending Moment)

  • A new metallic sandwich panel with a quasi-Kagome truss core subjected to bending load has been analyzed. First, equations of the failure loads corresponding to the eight failure modes are presented. Then, non-dimensional forms of the equations are derived as functions of three geometric variables, one material parameter (yield strain), one load index and one weight index. Failure maps are presented for a given weight index. By using the dimensionless forms of equations as the design constraints, two kinds of optimization are performed. One is based on the weight, that is, the objective function, namely, the dimensionless load is to be maximized for a given weight. Another is based on the load, that is, the dimensionless weight is to be minimized for a given load. The results of the two optimization processes are found to agree each other. The optimized geometric variables are derived as a function of given weights or failure loads. The performance of the quasi-Kagome truss as the core of a sandwich panel is evaluated by comparison with those of honeycomb cored and octet truss cored panels
