Since the first commercial NMR spectrometer came out in 1953 from Varian, much of the hardware development has been improved and matured through commercial equipments. Many of magnetic resonance laboratories however still build and use home-built spectrometers, which are satisfactory even with the consideration of educational purpose only. The home-built NMR spectrometer could be further advantageous and could be often an only option for investigating new ideas with demanding experimental conditions or new hardware support. A solid state NMR spectrometer was designed with extra interest in stochastic experiment and built for an 8.93 T superconducting magnet from Oxford instrument. Super-heterodyned system was implemented for the transmitter and receiver parts. Intermediate frequency (IF) for the heterodyne system was chosen to 70 MHz for the first and the second channels, with additional 120 MHz for the third channel for maximum NMR frequency capability. We will show overall schematics, and discuss the designs with detailed diagrams, then demonstrate the applicability of home-built spectrometer with stochastic-excitation in solid state NMR and in applications to quadrupolar nuclear Spins.
Sees the market where home appliance and network equipment, the communication service enterprises are new recently the home network market of the most which has an interest in the home network is being activated the newly-built high-class apartment in the center. The company building leads because not being option of the case last customer of newly-built market and must do a business . marketing. So newly-built market the demand grasp which is individual leads sale activation with difficult and that to creates a benefit there is a limit judges and axis market in the object hereafter demand at even the popular house the function to prepare in being magnified is simple and there is a possibility of saying that a more effort is demanded in supply style video phone market opening up where the price is cheap. Saw with like this reason from, analyzes the concept and a market trend of the video phone, grasps distribution channel forms and A/S handling systems and there is the goal finds the video phone sale revitalization plan which is suitable in all market.
Proteins in highly oriented lipid bilayer samples are useful to study membrane protein structure determination. Planar lipid bilayers aligned and supported on glass slide were prepared. These stack of glass slide with planar lipid bilayers are not well fit for commercial solid-state NMR probe with round coil. Therefore, homebuilt solid-state NMR probe was built and used for a stack of thin glass plates and RF coil is wrapping directly around the flat square sample. The overall filling factor of the coil is much better and the large surface area enhances the extent to orientation by providing uniform environments for the phospholipids and the high ratio of circumference to area reduces edge effects. $^1H\;and\;^{15}N$ double resonance probe for 400 MHz NMR (9.4T) with a flat coil (coil size: 11 mm ${\times}$ 20 mm ${\times}$ 4 mm) is constructed and tested.
Structural studies of membrane proteins, importantly involving interpretation of genomics information, many signaling pathway and major drug target for drug discovery, are having difficulty in characterizing the function using conventional solution nmr spectroscopy and x-ray crystallography because phospholipid bilayers hindered fast tumbling and crystallization. Here, we studied the structure of the pf1 coat protein in oriented phospholipid bilayers by home-built solid-state NMR probe. Bacteriophage pf1 was purified from Paeudomonas Aeruginosa and coat protein of bacteriophage pf1 was isolated from DNA and other proteins.
Home modification has come to be recognized as an important intervention strategy to manage health care conditions, maintain or improve functioning, ensure safety, and reduce the wheelchair user's dependency on others. However, the availability of skilled professionals with experience in home modifications for accessibility is limited. A system that enables accurate remote assessments would be an important tool to improve our ability to perform home assessments more easily and at decreased cost. A Remote Wheelchair Accessibility Assessment System (RWAAS) using Virtualized Reality(VR) technology was developed that enabled clinicians to assess the wheelchair accessibility of users' built environments from a remote location. Characteristics of the camera and 3D reconstruction program chosen for the system significantly affect its overall reliability. In this study, we performed two reliability analyses on the hardware and software components: 1) Verification that commercial software can construct sufficiently accurate 3D models by analyzing the accuracy of dimensional measurements in a virtualized environment; 2) comparison of dimensional measurements with four camera settings. Based on these two analyses, we were able to specify a consumer level digital camera and the Photomodeler Pro software for this system. And we then tested the feasibility of the selected software and hardware in an actual environment. Lastly, A field evaluation was performed to test whether this new system is comparable to the traditional method of accessibility assessment to evaluate its ability to assess the accessibility of a wheelchair user's typical built environment. The results of field trials showed high congruence between the assessments by two methods. Findings suggested that the RWAAS assessments have the potential to enable specialists to assess potential accessibility problems in built environments regardless of the location of the client, home, or specialist.
The purpose of this study is to examine the remodeling behavior on the apartment built in furniture. The data were collected from 363 residents in Seoul area, living in apartments equipped with built-in furnitures. The major findings are as follows; 1)It was found out that 62-75% of those surveyed did not remodel their built-in furniture and 25-39% remodeled it. The major reasons for remodeling are the inconvenience in storing household items, lack of storage space and dissatisfaction of the design and color. 2)More than 80% of the apartment residents surveyed recognizes the necessity of the built-in furnitures, which were equipped already, in living room, kitchen, bathroom and the entrance area. A strong need is also indicated for the additional built-in furnitures in each bedroom, multi-service room and veranda. 3) This survey also indicated that 63-73% shows no intention of remodeling their built-in furnitures. On the other hand, 27-37% of those surveyed indicates their desire and plan to remodel them.

Problems of housing, healthcare, social exchanges, and lonely feelings of vulnerable social groups such as the elderly living alone in rural and fishing villages should be resolved by guaranteeing minimum residential rights and levels to restore the sense of self-esteem and social stability and to maintain the rural communities and these should be the object of social interest and support. The housing problems of rural and fishing villages should be resolved not through supply to meet demand but by beginning with providing the ways to attain mutual interaction through the program that recognizes housing as merit goods to maintain the regional communities This research examines more minutely the problems caused by poor housing conditions of rural and fishing villages and attempts to present rural and fishing village type community living home as an alternative through regeneration. The results of this research are as follows. First, the administrative support system should be built to support the community living home in its beginning, process, completion, and even post management. Second, education for reinforcing capabilities to help understand the community living home should continually conducted on the occupants, villagers, and related organizations. Third, in order to expand the community living home, research and development should be made so that the zero-energy house, the alternative energy utilizing house, etc. can be widely used. In building community living home for vulnerable social groups in rural and fishing villages, practical alternatives suitable to the regional realities should be presented and practiced so that the community living home can be built to the satisfaction of all the villagers and the occupants, and the improvement measures should be presented through constant interest and monitoring.
In order for end-users in home networks to receive opportunities for useful services that go beyond legacy Internet Protocol TV (IPTV) services, this paper proposes a service platform that resides on the residential gateway (RG) for interworking between the home network and IPTV. This proposed service platform is called the home-oriented IPTV service platform (HISP) on the RG (HISP-RG). The proposed HISP-RG provides open architecture and functionalities to enable 3rd party IPTV service providers to locally and directly deliver home-oriented IPTV services to end-users in home networks. The HISP-RG can be an "add-on" and not a "built-in" solution for the existing standard RG. This paper introduces several home-oriented IPTV services that can be executed and delivered locally through the HISP-RG. Then, the open architecture and functionalities of the HISP-RG are defined and their requirements are specified. Finally, use cases of the HISP-RG for home-oriented IPTV services are presented.

The purposes of this study are 1) to identify the position and the problems of Home Economics in Elementary School, and 2) to propose orientation for the future curriculum revision. Elementary Home Economics, historically, has been partially practiced as a part of Practical Arts Education. As a results, the nature of Home Economics Education has been distorted and lacked the disciplinary consistency with Middle School Home Economics Education: the curriculum of Home Economics Education ignored the importance of the understanding family life as well as underscored the technical skills. The identified status and problems has on implication for the subject’s further development. The propositions for Elementary Home Economics Education which has the original intention, are as follows:(1) the curriculum of Practical Arts Education must be built on theorectical base and criteria. (2) the name of subject, Practical Arts Education, must be changed to [Technology$.$Home Economics]. (3) the contents of the subject must be practical which to promote motivations and interest of students.
Apartment houses are repidly being assimialated into the Korean lifestyle. Little study of space utilization and specificially built-in storage needs has been implemented into design of these apartment units. The purposes of this study were, first, to ascertain attitudes of a select group of Korean housewives(N=250) living in apartments in Seoul toward closets and built-in storage units, and second, to determine the acceptability of proposed alternative plans which include built-in storage facilities by Korean women(N=31) living in the United States. Overall results reflect that built-in closets and storage are highly prized and additional units required in Korean apartment plans. Of the respondents, about 86% thought portable storage bought at marirage would be phased out if more storage was built into Korean apartmemts. Most Korean housewives would perceive the advantages of built-in storage units, and would prefer differentiated built-in storage units to undifferentiat d ones. Yet attitudes were equally split on the aesthetic value of the elimination of the portable storage. Five Korean apartment plans were drawn to scale then altered through the incorporation of additional built-in storage. These altered plans all received greater then 83% preferences to the existing Korean apartment plans. Additional study needs to be undertaken to address the implementation of additional storage in existing units as well as impact the current space planning concepts related to more built-in storage. Consideration needs to be given to the concerns related to aesthetic value of portable units as part of the study process.
