The subject of this study is to review the practical approaches of Home Care Services. The data used in this study are obtained from the Elderly Program of the Medical Services and other data on the Home Care Services in Japan. With the growing elderly population in Japan, it is to be expected that the medical care expenditure for this sector will continue to increase. With the aim of keeping expenditure for medical care within reasonable bounds, it is essential that this increasing expenditure on the elderly be used effectively. With the Health and Medical Services Law for the Aged was enforced, therefore, remuneration for medical treatment of the elderly and what is known as the staff placement standard at hospital for the elderly were rationalized. In addition to rationalization from the point of view of medical care supply, it is necessary to guarantee the appropriate treatment within the community and at home for those elderly who are bedridden but not in need of hospital care. For this it is required that Home Care Services, such as health services like visiting guidance by public health nurse in hospital of Health Center. So that the elderly can feel secure in receiving treatment within the community and at home, allowances for guidance on leaving hospital and for intermittent nursing and guidance thereafter are to be newly introduced. Home care Services in one aspect of comprehensive health care, it is comprised of health services provided to individuals and families in their homes. Its purposes include promoting, maintaining and restoring health, specifically maximazing independent functioning and minimizing the disabling effects of illness, including terminal illness. Of the 76 admission cases, 44.9% received post-discharge care at outpatient clinics, 20.5% had both outpatient and home care services, and 16.7% were transferred to other hospitals. Readmission rate after discharge was 15.6% for one year. The proportion of the aged people in Korea has increased rapidly by more than 7% in 2000. A survey says that the changing rate from the aging society to the aged is the highest among the OECD countries. The prevalence rate of the aged population is on the increase. Chronic diseases such as arthritis and strokes limits their body's functions and activities of daily living. It is necessary that functional training. ADL training and continuous treatment be provided by Physical or Occupational Therapists. Discontinuance of treatment can cause the aged people to be in a bed state. The aged people need a variety of home care services at their convenience. Occupational and Physical therapist should play a major role in providing the rehabilitation-base home care services. Further they are expected to contribute to the extension of health care services such as home care and nursing home programs.
Home visiting as a Public Health Horsing function is believed to be of therapeutic value to, the patient. However, home visiting is time consuming and expensive. Is the gain in knowledge and treatment for patients with Tuberculosis in Korea enough to make the necessary outlay in finances and personnel worthwhile\ulcorner While this study does not attempt to completely answer this question it does, under the following objectives, attempt to answer part of the question. The objectives of the study were to l) ascertain if there is a difference between patients, who receive home visits from the public Health Nurse and those who do not, in the following areas: a) their compliance with medical regimen, b) their ability to answer general questions about Tuberculosis, and c) their compliance with medical advice concerning prevention (B.C.G. immunization) and early diagnosis (contact X-rays), and 2) to determine if there is any correlation between the patient's answers to questions about Tuberculosis and his action both in the areas of treatment and prevention. The patients participating in the study were all newly diagnosed patients at Kwangju Christian Hospital. A control group and an experimental group were selected. The patients in the control group were seen according to the regular schedule at the Kwangju Christian Hospital except that they received no home visits from the Public Health Nurses. The patients in the experimental group were visited on an average of three times during the first two months of their treatment by the investigator, a Public Health Nurse. At the end of two months the patients in the two groups were compared as to compliance both in the treatment and preventive areas. They were also compared according to their answers to a questionnaire regarding both the prevention and treatment of Tuberculosis. The following results were obtained : 1. Patients in the experimental group (68.2%) showed a significantly higher compliance rate for medical treatment than patients in the control group (43.2%). 2. Patients in the experimental group (87.5%) showed a higher compliance rate for B.C.G. immunization than those in the control group (40%). 3. Women patients in the experimental group showed a higher mean score (7.2$\pm$2.6) on the questionnaire than did women in the control group (6.2$\pm$3.4). The results of this study seem to indicate that while home visiting is beneficial to the patient with Tuberculosis as far as treatment is concerned, something more concrete needs to be done if home visiting is to help the patient learn more about Tuberculosis and its prevention. Further study is indicated in the following areas: 1) A similar type of study over a longer period of time involving more subjects and using Korean Public Health Nurses to make the home visits. 2) Study to develop an adequate approach to education considering the problems unique to patients with Tuberculosis living in Korea.
This study has examined weight loss rates of Iyoceu, lyocell/cotton, cotton that were treated with cellulase under different concentration, time, temperature and pH. and compared physical properties changes of tensile strength, drape, moisture absorbency, shrinkage and dyeability. The notable results are summarized as follows: Lyocell was in need of pretreatment by NaOH in the side of weight loss, tensile strength and dyeability. Weight loss rates of cellulose fabrics by cellulase treatment were in the order of cotton > lyocell/cotton > lyocell at the same conditions. In case of lyocell and lyocell/cotton, weight loss rates showed up lower than cotton, while strength retention decreased, drape and strength flexibility were highly improved after cellulase treatment.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the dental treatment of patients with disabilities, especially according to the frequency of general anesthesia, and to propose the improvements in oral care. The subjects of the present study were 85 patients including age, sex, medical condition, dental treatment and the number of general anesthesia. The patients were divided into regular and irregular check groups according to their follow-up patterns. These two groups were compared for the frequency of general anesthesia and the type of repeated treatment. The results showed that restorative treatment was superior in numbers under first visit of general anesthesia. And more general anesthesia was performed in the irregular recall check group compared with the regular recall check group. This survey suggest that easy access to a dental clinic and the convenience of treatment is needed. On the other hand, there is a time limit on the dental care for disabilities by the dentist. Therefore oral care training program should be simultaneously provided for parents to improve the efficiency of dental care at home. In conclusion, efforts should be made for more comprehensive and effective dental care including regular recall check and preventive home care for disabilities.
