Design and implementation of security and control system for home electronic appliances

  • We have been designed and developed a security system including home automation with control of electronic appliances. The system can detect intruders using infrared sensors and monitor rooms or offices in real time by web camera. The password was needed to enter a house or office. The operation of home electronic appliances also can be easy and remotely controlled by Internet. The system was designed by VHDL. The size of the fabricated system is small and it showed good performance.

  • In this paper, we design a ubiquitous home automation system for Korean domestic 33-Pyung Apartment based on USN environment. The core of this home automation system is to give Home the 'Intelligence' so that the house can analyze and memorize the occurrences and react spontaneously on the user requirements by means of the World Model, USN, and LBS etc. Ultimately, the resident of this intelligent home might access all of these ubiquitous environments without any feelings about the equipments and peripherals. The methods of user identification, image recognition, and the ultrasonic sensors locations have been applied to Korean domestic 35-Pyung Apartment, but they will be easily generalized to be an extended model because of the flexibility of the World Model. which are confirmed by the imaginary scenario presented at the end of the main left.

  • Home automation technology combines various devices in home organically with each other to ensure the convenience and improved safety of the home life refers to a technique for improving the human living. Because of the technology needed to make this house before you can act as awareness of your thoughts. In this paper, we implement the system model, such as data collection using a sensor network, and take advantage of the idea that the data itself to the home, and an introduction to the method.

  • In this study, a group of home bus system(HBS) is used to manage difference types of household appliances or many household appliance of the same type. The existing central controller is analyzed, and an independent control system is built to devise new methods to design the PC HBS. The newly designed system is installed in an air-conditioned building; the system can be monitored and controlled from a control room or from an office. By using the system, we can efficiently manage future energy needs and control large-scale integrated electronics and home automation system to an individual manage to build large is expected to contribute.

  • These days, a lot of research has been in progress for a home automation system. In this study, the intelligent home automation system is developed for automatically controlling the temperature and illumination of the house. The difference with other research can be adjusted individually according to your taste and lifestyle of each individual, it is that it provides a more comfortable living environment through the accumulated lifestyle database. In addition, proposed system can use the mobile app to easily control the lighting devices, a electric fans, and heaters. Moreover the mobile app of proposed system offers function that allows you to search for residential environments statistics on their lifestyle.

  • This study propose the new concept of residence by analyzing the change of residence through the characteristic of popularity and degree of development of technology on home network information appliance for intelligent home. Accordingly, Cyber village represented as home automation and extend to information of society. it encourage need of information and multimedia of home. It expect home information infrastructure for accepting informations, which make smart home to linked home-working home-learning home-treatment. home-shopping and home-banking. The system of intelligent home is the intelligence of human-biology in the side of environmental friendly and multi-function. it distinguish the system of security, controlling system of inside environment, supporting system of house-working, automatic controlling, house working. Future house require to meet demand of young generation, such as small residental space, the multi-functional space, the flexible space, making mood for dual income couple and of single as intelligent home. Accordingly, basic purpose which are pleasantness, the safe and the convenience the mobile multi-function as well as networking with controlling of temperature, security, health-test, home-entertainment, home-office and consider environment together.

The Implementation of EIA 709.1 Standard Protocol Based Home Control System Architecture having Network Configuration Function

  • This paper proposes a home control system architecture that have network configuration function. The proposed home control system architecture is implemented with partly hardware and software. For implementation of this system architecture, we developed ECONICS which is home automation controller. ECONICS consists of main board and communication modem. This communication modem supply the power line communication. The physical layer and the MAC layer software of EIA 709.1 standard protocol are implemented in communication modem. The upper layer software of EIA 709.1 standard protocol and home configuration software for home network installation, management, diagnostics, control and monitoring are implemented in main board of ECONICS. We verified the commercial feasibility of the proposed system through the home network configuration and operation. As a result, we have concluded that the proposed home control system architecture provides all the key function necessary to easily manage and control home network nodes.

  • BACnet(Building Automation and Control networks) is a standard data communication protocol designed specifically for building automation and control systems. BACnet provides five options for datalink layer protocols and these five datalink layer options can be applied with various transmission media. Recently wireless technology prevails in automation area. ZigBee is a standard protocol based on IEEE 802.15.4 for low-speed wireless communication network. In this study, we propose a BACnet/ZigBee model that uses ZigBee wireless technology in a BACnet communication network system as a wireless datalink layer protocol. We also applied this model to a lighting control system to evaluate the feasibility of proposed technology. The technology proposed in this paper can extend the application of BACnet not only for building automation but also for home automation by taking the advantages of ZigBee wireless communication technology in BACnet communication network systems.
