This study examines the concentration in terms of supply and consumption in the Korean movie market, focusing on screen size, nationality, and the box office. For analysis, it selects the top 100 movies in the box office each year for 15 years from 2005 to 2019. According to the result, the number of screens increased steadily every year, and the screen concentration became very high. For the top 100 movies, it increased from 12% to 30% of the total screen. It became higher in the case of the top 10 movies. As the number of screens increased, multiplex assigned more screens to one movie. Multiplex's screen allocation continued to increase, with one movie taking up more 60% of the total screen. This became more serious after 2011 and 2012. Market share of the top 100 movies accounted for about 95% of the total box office performance, even though the number of released movies is about 3,000. Whether multiplex preferred Hollywood movies or not, its screen assignment was found to favor Hollywood movies over Korean ones. In the case of film nationality, both Korean and Hollywood movies accounted for 90.7%. Two countries had a market share of 96.6%. There was no single side except Korea and the United States in the top 10. The increase in the number of screens deepened the concentration in screen allocation. The concentration in the screen allocation led to the concentration of consumption. The Korean film market is the case where the increase of movie screens did not create a diversity of supply and consumption. It also did not affect the diversity of film nationality. This research reveals that supplied concentration and consumed concentration are positively correlated, and that the former is a little lower than the latter.

Many research works are actively being done due to the 3D contents production technology for global competition through the world. In korea, many experts have taken notice of high quality 3D movies produced by Hollywood. Recently, 3D movie "Avatar" advanced 3D computer graphics based digital production technology is heavily influencing the contents industry in global market. Therefore, In this paper, the success factor of "Avatar"has to be analyzed. Also, the analysis of 3D contents production environment of the domestic and Hollywood is performed. Based on that, we analyzed the factors of threat and opportunity of the Korean 3D contents. Also, Based on the statistical data analysis of the korean film commission, favorable reactions of the korean movie and the government's powerful policy direction, we proposed the successful possibility of the korean 3D contents.

This research considered the aesthetic factors of the Korean style superhero film through the analysis of text of . Basically, the various elements including the structure of the story, characters, mise en scene, and etc. are included in the aesthetic factors. Most of the movies currently being created are used by CG. As for movie of today, the location of visual effect from film business rose highly with CG introductions to do not ask a style. The CG gets attention recently, and expand a market at rapid pace, the biggest reason are development of software and computer hardware. Advancement of computer technology and technique discharge numerous VFX artists therefore visual effect are possible to deliver with low-budget feature and commercial films more common. As for CG fields Hollywood in United States has most advancement of the computer techniques that create a lot of visual effect artists. However CG techniques of Korea also developed absurdly, because movie market of Korea is getting bigger. Korean CG technology get catching up at the CG techniques of Hollywood every year, however goal of this research in order to study is current address and future possibility of development of Korean CG. The CG example which from the movie was already screened that in the depth. Through movie of existing and knows a different partial authorization, tries to observe the possibility of development of future Korean CG fields.

This article reviews the film acting studies of Kracauer presenting the basic approach of traditional film theory. It is to provide a foundation for film acting theory in order to activate the domestic acting studies. While Kracauer explaines the difference between traditional stage actor and film actor in 'Remarks on the Actor' of Theory of Film(1960), he suggests the characteristics of the cinema acting and its media technical meanings. He emphasizes the acting forms presenting the postwar new realism in his film acting studies. His approach takes the perspective of 'physical reality' or 'camera reality' which is the basic premise of film theory. Kracauer insists the naturalness of the actors, listing the features of professional actors, non-professional actors and Hollywood stars as they are a familiar classification for the types of actors. He does not prefer the Hollywood stars, whether it is fiction or documentary, professional or non-professional actors, but he emphasizes negative acting, the ability to express words by doing nothing, based on indeterminacy or indefiniteness of the film. Kracauer's film acting studies has affected later film theory and media-related acting, and has become the principles of cinema textbook and acting.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the glamour image in contemporary women's fashion since 1990. The method of study is to analyze the documentary and fashion magazines about the glamour images. Most of all, glamour has been composed by connection of hollywood film industry and fashion. Glamourous body image showed sensual, threatening and vague body. Formative characteristics in fashion showed a tight silhouette, neglige, lace look, dress showing neck and shoulder, fur coat, stiletto, diamond, gold, big and thick jewelry, satin, velvet, lace, mink and fox fur, etc. Internal meaning was a fantasy, ideal, wealth, fame, hyper-feminity, vagueness, vulgarity, sexuality, mystery, professional, fatalness, aggressiveness and evil. Since 1990, the glamour images in fashion were as follows; First, the glamour with hyper-feminity showed a classical femme-fatal image as fearful existence with a power more than allure. Second, the glamour with vulgarity showed an exaggerated, cheap and popular kitsch image, which have intense colors, lavish surfaces and excessive sexual signs. Third, the glamour with classical sensuality showed a hi-glamour image of hollywood actresses being active from 1930 to 1950, which was expressed glittery dress, stole, diamond, fur wrap, hill, luxury dress. Fourth, the glamour with sexual perversion showed an erotic, vague and sexual drag image, and fetish costume. Fetishistic elements were rubber, PVC, stiletto, thick and high boots and corset and particularly, they were a main method of expression of glamour image. Fifth, the glamour with future image showed a mechanical and mysterious image and it was a conscious style by metallic, plastic and sleeky fabric. In conclusion, glamour fashion image is an ideal beauty type of women and will exist as a meaningful aesthetic sign in women's fashion.

This study explored the risk sharing mechanism in the US TV drama industry. The hollywood system of TV production and distribution can be understood to be the result of the efforts to reduce the uncertainty and the risk of investment. Since the 1990s, the vertical integration of major studios and networks has been one of the core strategies for risk sharing. In the strategy, the most important role of networks is to schedule new series that the affiliated studios produce. Networks also provide the new series their brand value. On the other hand, the most important role of studios in the vertical integrated environment is to provide the affiliated networks the infrastructures for production and distribution, financial management, and product management. In addition, networks keep the right on the series in the secondary markets, and attempt to increase the aggressive investment on new series on the base of the rights. However, such a risky investment can be the potential burden and risk for the networks in the future. This paper shows the importance of the reasonable risk sharing in the television drama industry to the Korean TV drama industry that has experienced the conflict between networks and independent production companies.

Dir.Guilermo del Toro, born in Mexico and started his career as a special make up artist, has been valued as one of most creative directors over the world since he went through hardship to adjust himself in Hollywood system. Del Toro as director has had interesting development in the boundary between Hollywood system' demand and creator(auteur)'s self-consciousness from the his first film to currently . His works reflect his Catholic view of the world. Del Toro like to have the variation of convention on his works from the classics to modern films in order to approach audience easily. He adopts plots and symbols from Bible, mythology and ancient tragedy as same reason. After then, Del Toro constructs his creativity on it. Thus, his works are consist of combination between universality and creativity. This is the reason why His works are making success both criticism and box office hit.

Formalism narrative theory adopts the dualism of Fabula, story material and Sujet, story substance. The recent theories of storytelling convert the dualism into story and storytelling. This essay delves into the mechanism of contemporary storytelling by comparatively analyzing the storytelling of two films, A Korean film, Family Ties and A Hollywood film, Little Miss Sunshine, which are considered to represent contemporary storytelling. While the latter builds its structure through desire usually shown in the classical Hollywood films, the former has the structure which has nothing to do with causality by displaying fragmented stories. And the latter has typical characters, while the former shows totally different reality, using the obscure characters. In conclusion, Little Miss Sunshine has a storytelling which puts audience feeling in tune by controlling it, and Family Ties has one which delivers director's intention.
