  • This study is on the focus of the cost-effective and time-effective in the BCTOC which commenced the On Dock Termainal System in 1998 for the first time in Korea. On this process of study two categories should be considered : (1) Improvement on Business Process (2) Improvement on Information Technology. With these two accesses a new future-oriented and prospective model could be put on our hand as follows.   • This paper has developed the computer integration manufacturing system and Internet based tele-operations. The functions of CIMS include production planing, material requirement planning, work order generation, process control, quality control, shipping planning, warehouse and inventory management and material cost accounting.[1] In this paper focuses on the automatic warehouse control and inventory management by developing the information system as well as the Internet-based integration. The system overview is divided into three parts, the mechanical system, the computer and developed software to control and manage the information and the communication system. The mechanical system consists of the warehouse machine and forklift mobile robot controlled by programmable logic controller (PLC). The computer works on many functions such as control station interfaces with PLC, managing database and inventory, and Internet server to broadcast the inventory database to users via World Wide Web and monitoring the operation on web camera. Our scheme the inventory database can be checked easily anywhere and anytime when the users connect to the Internet. In this article, the lead-time and inventory level can be reduced therefore the holding cost and operating time is also decreased.

모바일 로봇을 위한 RFID 센서공간에서 효율적인 위치인식 알고리즘 (An Efficient Localization Algorithm for Mobile Robots in RFID Sensor Space)

  • This paper proposes an efficient localization algorithm in the RFID sensor space for the precise localization of a mobile robot. The RFID sensor space consists of embedded sensors and a mobile robot. The embedded sensors, that is tags are holding the absolute position data and provide them to the robot which carries a reader and requests the absolute position fur localization. The reader, it is called as antenna usually, gets several tag data at the same time within its readable range. It takes time to read all the tags and to process the data to estimate the position, which is a major factor to deteriorate the localization accuracy. In this paper, an efficient algorithm to estimate the position and orientation of the mobile robot as quickly as possible has been proposed. Along with the algorithm, a new allocation of the tags in the RFID sensor space is also proposed to improve the localization accuracy. The proposed algorithms are demonstrated and verified through the real experiments.

  • The forming process of metal matrix composites by die casting and squeeze casting process are limited in size and dimension In term of final parts. The melt strirring method have the problems that the homogeneous distribution of the reinforcements is difficult due to the low weldability and the density difference between the molten metal and the reinforcement. The thixoforming process for metal matrix composites has numerous advantages compacted to die casting, squeeze casting and compocasting. However, for the thixofoming process, the billet with the desired volume fraction must be heated to obtain a uniform temperature distribution over the entire cross-sectional areas. To obtain the reheating conditions of composites, the particulate reinforced metal matrix composites for thixoforming were fabricated by combined stirring process which is simultaneously performed with electro-magnetic stirring and mechanical stirring process. The matrix alloy and reinforcement are used to aluminum alloy(A357) and SiCp with diameter 14, $25{\mu}m$, respectively. The microstructure characteristics were investigated by changing the volume fraction and reinforcement size. The heating conditions to obtain the uniform temperature distribution in cross section area of fabricated metal matrix composites billet are proposed with heating time, the heating temperature and the holding time.

가스압 소결(GPS) 조건이 질화규소의 기계적 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of gas pressure sintering (GPS) conditions on the mechanical properties of silicon nitride)

  • $Si_3N_4$에 2 wt% $Al_2O_3$와 6 wt% $Y_2O_3$을 첨가한 분말을 가스압소결 방법으로 시편을 제조하였다. 이때 소결시 조건(온도, 압력, 시간) 변화에 대한 기계적 특성 변화를 비교하였다. 이때 나타난 결과에 의하면 $1900^{\circ}C$, 3 MPa에서 1시간 동안 유지시켰을 때 최적의 조건을 갖는다는 것을 보여주었다. 이는 온도를 높여 주거나 유지 시간을 길게 하였을 때 입자 조대화에 의해 기계적 특성이 떨어지는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 그러나 압력을 증가시킬 때에는 미세한 조직을 가지므로 기계적 특성은 좋아짐을 나타내지만 파괴 인성이 떨어지는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 이로 인해 소결시 최적의 조건을 찾는 것이 중요함을 알 수 있었다.

다시마 식이섬유를 첨가한 기능성 소보루 빵의 품질특성 (Soboru bread enriched with dietary fibers extracted from Kombu)

  • To enhance the nutritional quality of the Soboru bread, a dietary fibers extracted from Kombu was added into wheat flour in the amounts of 0, 1, 3, and 5% and the quality of the baked products was characterized. The inherent water holding capacity of the added dietary fibers raised weight of the bread while specific volume and density values were decreased at the same time. Increasing the amount of dietary fiber resulted in the decreased setback time of the raw materials in amylogram. The lower textural hardness of the dietary fiber-enriched bread after one-day storage at room temperature could be attributed to the retarded retrogradation of the starch. Darkened surface of the bread as indicated by the Hunter colorimetric values and the accompanied change in flavor did not significantly influence the sensory evaluation of the products. Judging from texture, taste and overall acceptability of the product, recommended substitution level for the dietary fiber in Soboru bread was 3% or less. Increased intake of the dietary fibers, accompained with more use of seaweed, was expected through the suggested functional bread.

깔짚우사 내 젖소분뇨 발생량 평가 (Evaluation of Dairy Manure Production in Bedded Pack Barn)

  • This study was conducted to determine the amount of manure production from Holstein dairy cattle raised in bedded pack barn and the appropriate bedding material removal time. Total six heads of dairy cows (about 715 kg weight) were raised in three pens (two heads per pen) for 62 days. Average daily production of manure containing sawdust bedding was 21.2 kg per head and that of manure excluding bedding was 18.7 kg. Moisture content of bedding materials were significantly increased up to 86% of water holding capacity (WHC) of sawdust during the first 30 days. It kept very stable level after 30 to 50 days. Theoretically, 30 days after adding fresh bedding seems to be proper removal time only based on WHC. On the other hand, from a practical perspective, maximum 50 days after adding new bedding would be fine by comprehensively considering various factors such as bedding material purchasing cost, feeding environment and manure treatment.

  • In 1990s, with the rapid development of the design part and the change of perception, various design competitions in a way to encourage the design industry have repeatedly implemented and abolished. They played positive roles of developing designs and nurturing talents. On the contrary, they caused a lot of problems of standardization of design, loss of identification of competitions, deterioration of the quality of design. Especially, though too many competitions are holding, the level of quality cannot catch up with the quantity, resulting in numerous side-effects. In the field of Furniture Design, many competitions are just an one time events and disappeared. Therefore, it is very difficult to keep the tradition of prestigious competition, playing the adverse role in the development of furniture design and lowering the will of creativeness of designers. In this study, I compared and analyzed the current issues and problems of Gyeonggi Furniture Good Design Contest, one of the representative competition as the national scale competition as of 2006, with examples from home and abroad to find out the positive and developmental methods. At the same time, I provided the ways that can be helpful in the design through the ways to facilitate competition and proposals of desirable competitions.

Photographic Color Reproduction Based on Color Variation Characteristics of Digital Camera

  • In this paper, a new technique for color reproduction based on color variation characteristics of digital camera under a dim light condition is proposed. Generally, photographers should adjust a camera exposure properly for obtaining an image with real color tone of subjects. Thus, in case of taking a picture under a dim light condition, the exposure time of a camera has to be relatively longer than the one under a bright light condition. Although images with real color tone of the subject are obtained, the images may get blurred due to the shaky hands of photographer holding the camera. In order to avoid the blur effect, an input image is captured from a camera set as a short exposure time under a dim light condition. Then we propose a method to reproduce color tone of the dim input image. To this end, color variation characteristics which represent color variations of a digital camera are first extracted by analyzing the Macbeth color checker images taken under various exposure values. Then, a color reproduction is performed by an estimation based on the color variation characteristics. Experimental results have shown that the proposed method has achieved better performance of color reproduction, compared with existing methods.

XLPE의 가교도 분포에 따른 전기트리 진전 특성 분석 (Analysis on Electrical Tree Growth Characteristics in XLPE According to Crosslinked Degree)

  • Crosslinked Degree is an important factor to determine dielectric property of crosslinked polyethylene(XLPE) used for the insulation material in power cables. Recently, though it is necessary to investigate electrical properties according to crosslinked degree as a part of the whole characterization of cable. it is not examined closely. In this study, crosslinked degree of samples were measured according to temperature and holding time of crosslinking, electrical tree characteristics of these samples were analyzed by crosslinked degree and applied temperature that was changed from normal temperature to operating temperature of power cables. As a result. when the crosslinked degree was low, dielectric properties were decreased and influence of temperature was increased. but the crosslinked degrees were high. initiation voltages of treeing were increased and dielectric properties were improved. It is proved that the optimum. crosslinked degree was one of most important factor for aging time and residual lifetime of power cable.
