Since The Korean Reliability Society had been founded in 1999, development history of reliability engineering in Korea is reviewed and research outputs and papers from 2008 to current are analyzed in terms of types of industry, product life cycle, hardware vs software, and theory vs application. The purpose of this research is to review the recent reliability engineering research conducted in Korea including development history as well as published papers to identify the weakness and/or deficiencies in order to suggest the future research directions, which would contribute the development of industries in Korea.

This paper aims to review Ahn Jae-Hong's studies on the history of the Korean press from the perspective of research history focussing his "Josun Shinmun Sosa(A Short History of the Korean Press)" published in 1935. For this purpose major discussions with respect to journalistic history during the Japanese occupation period are reviewed. The result reveals that Ahn Jae-Hong's studies using a comparative method and a social historical approach are judged to be the most representative outcomes at that time. The "Josun Shinmun Sosa" first explains "Inhaeng Jobo" and "Jeobo" as an origin of newspaper, and then explains various subjects on newspaper phenomena in the latter era of the Chosun Dynasty such as participants of major newspapers, the tone of newspapers, the analysis of newspaper character through evaluation of main articles, the system of newspaper, newspaper advertisements, pro-Japanese newspapers, newspapers managed by Japanese, newspapers for overseas Korean, etc. But partly it gives a general description rather than a detailed research due to the nature of contributions to the newspaper, and also includes an objective analysis and a subjective impression together. Nevertheless his researches can be valued as pioneering pieces of work as they comprehensively handled various objects of study on newspapers and gave new angle and orientation of interpretation on the newspaper phenomena at that time. Also it is judged that they had an effect on the period division as well as the description methods for the study of the history of the Korean press.

The 「Shinhyeong(Body)」 chapter is one of the most important of the 『Donguibogam(Treasured Mirror of Eastern Medicine)』 and can be regarded as the outline of text as a whole. This research compares this chapter with the 「Yangseongmun(Nourishing the inner nature)」 chapter of 『Euibangyoochui(Classified Assemblage of Medical Prescriptions)』 and shows how the two books are related through these two chapters. This research shows that, relating to nutrition literature, the most frequently cited contents in 『Donguibogam』 「Shinhyeong」 from 『Euibangyoochui』 「Yangseongmun」 occurred through 「Qianjinfang(千金方)」(13 times) and 「Quxianhuorenxin(臞仙活人心)」(7 times). Meanwhile, only the contents related to internal training, such as 「Xiuzhenmijue(修眞秘訣)」(7 times) and 「Jindandacheng(金丹大成)」(7 times), were selected in 『Donguibogam』 「Shinhyeong」 from 『Euibangyoochui』 「Yangseongmun」. Through this study, it was found that all seven volumes of 『Euibangyoochui』 「Yangseongmun」 were cited in 『Donguibogam』 「Shinhyeong」, so it can be said that 『Donguibogam』 「Shinhyeong」 was greatly influenced by 『Euibangyoochui』 「Yangseongmun」. We hope this research will serve as the basis for future research on the relationship between 『Donguibogam』 and 『Euibangyoochui』.

This study aims to investigate the changing aspects about research methodology of stone pagoda from the period of Japanese colonial to now. There were the differences in purpose, method and analysis of the research according to each period. In Japanese colonial period, the purpose of research was to make lists of almost stone pagodas in Korea. Following this, Japanese researchers conducted detailed research for academic purpose. They took measurements of stone pagodas and made drawings. After liberation the research was focused on the relics contained in pagodas. They proceeded to investigate the inner relics in order to attract the attention of the people. In the late 1900's, the repair works of cultural heritages were increased. Many reports of the repair works were released and sent to administration offices. The reports contained the change aspects of situation between before work and after with drawings or simple investigation documents. In the 1990's, the restoration works for important stone pagodas were started by the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage. Since then, researches from various way - architectural and conservational researches about historical interpretation, shape, structure, proportion, technique, etc. - progressed for careful restoration and accurate study. In Recent years, various professional organizations(in the field of structure, physics, chemistry, biology, lithology, etc.) started to join the researches. Researches conducted studies directly with the stone pagodas, as well as conducting indirect studies with the stone pagodas, such as the structural stability of stone pagodas, the characteristics of rock, and conservation chemicals. Today the research project 'The preservation project of stone cultural property' is being conducted by the National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage. The purpose of this project is to gain more detailed and accurate investigation documents to be provided for the people. In conclusion, researches from various fields must be included in the research. Furthermore, a synthetic study should be done through comparing similar characteristics or different characteristics among many research results.

Korean election polls has a history of fifteen years, which may seem too short while those of advanced countries such as the U.S and the UK has a history of one hundred fifty years. However, with various and creative attempts, some of the Korean research companies have developed election polls methods and theories which can be applied to Korean society. They also elevated accuracy of the election forecasts. In spite of short history the rational and scientific polls and forecasts done by some of the research companies including Gallup Korea are commented that they have improved the quality of Korean election culture. In the article, we will look into the process of the election polls which have been done seven times for 15 years, and then deal with the meaning of the election polls.

Purpose: Actually until now, there is few historic records concern on oriental OB&GY from late Joseon Dynasty colonized by Japan. therefore, this research was studied in priority with historic background and medical-history for this book and writer. Methods: the related data were collected through books on history, medicine books, essays, and family councils, contents of $\ll$女科大要$\gg$ were made a comparative study with $\ll$東醫寶鑑$\gg$. Results : As it seems to be accomplished writing and publication of this book, $\ll$女科大要$\gg$ at that times, and there is no former days data about the author, 李載建, this research was progressed by dividing into background research and comparison study. Conclusion: there is insufficient report on information of this book and the author, but it is considered that enough value is by existence of a book and person's discovery. Besides, it is thought to need more study on comparison with books same age and exchange with historic persons of Korean traditional medicine.

The purpose of this study is to survey the circumstances of sniping warfare and to prove the importance of usage of snipers. The research method was referred to the history of foreign warfares and autobiographies, articles, and testimonies of snipers. Also, various news reports were also studied to collect information. The content of this study investigates the circumstances of sniping combat scenes from its first appearance in the world's major warfares to contemporary ones. Also, the research contains the history of weapons, ammunition, rifles, and the principle of rifle shooting including ballistics. We hope this study provides ROK Army and government agencies the foundation of sniping and thereby improving the effectiveness of correspondence to international conflicts and terrorism.

A cultivation of Pleurotus spp. on tree-stumps and logs, was first described at the beginning of the twentieth century. Now Pleurolus spp. is the most popular mushrooms in Korea. Especially, P. ostreatus has been cultivated for many years since artificial cultivation methods were developed in 1980's. Its productivity occurring almost 32% in Korea. To find the vision of mushroom research, the beginning and history of Pleurolus spp. cultivation were introduced worldwide based on Journal of Mushroom Science. The important innovation and history in cultivation were also discussed in Korea.

In this study, we examine Maeng Hwa-seop's academic activities, focusing on articles published in Uirim, JKM (Journal of Korean Medicine), and other branch journals which were affiliated with the Society of Korean Medicine. The present study charts and summarizes the papers published in the above journals. By organizing Maeng Hwa-seop's papers and making tables, we find that his research can be divided into four categories: symptoms and diseases, prescriptions, academic presentations, and translations of medical literatures. Based on this study, we hope that further researches about the academic activities of Maeng Hwa-seop can be conducted in the future.

The History of Mathematics (HOM) was integrated in teaching the Cartesian Coordinate Plane (CCP) to Grade Seven learners of Moonwalk National High School using Lesson Study. After the lesson was taught, there were three valuable issues emerged: (1) HOM is a Springboard and/or a Medium of Motivation in Teaching CCP; (2) The History of CCP Opened a Wider Perspective about Its Real-life Application in the Modern World (3) Integration of History Developed a Sense of Purpose and an Appreciation of Mathematics Among Learners. Feedbacks solicited from the learners showed that they have understanding of the importance of studying Mathematics after they learned the life and contributions of Rene Descartes to Mathematics. Hence, integration of history plays a vital role in developing positive attitudes among learners towards Math.
