In this paper, we propose a new personal agent for generating the combinational services from using history of appliances in the home network environment. In such environment, it is required that flexible services can be provided by combining services of appliances and unskillful users can use these services without knowledge. So, it is needed to satisfy following: (1) combinational services can be suggested automatically and (2) the increase of services can be followed. Then, we propose a new personal agent that suggests combinational services by learning the lifestyle. Its learning mechanism is based on Self-Organizing Map (SOM), and can follow the increase of services. We implemented the the agent, and use history of a user for two weeks was made to learn. As the result, we confirmed that the agent can extract services related with time or location and can suggest combinational services.

The book ${\ll}$Ceyuan Haijing${\gg}$ studies inscribed and circumscribed circles in a right triangle and shows equations that give the diameters of the circles. We discuss the development of mathematical contents written by the scholar Yang Zhaoyun in Qing dynasty on the contents of ${\ll}$Ceyuan Haijing${\gg}$ in his book ${\ll}$Jiuyong Yandai${\gg}$. He derived equations to find the diameters of the circles based on algebraic knowledge known in the Qing dynasty. In this paper, we conclude that Yang's methods in devising the equations include the Gou-Gu Theorem, mathematical expressions derived from Gou-Gu ratio table, and the technique of interchanging triangles and events. We conclude that the Gou-Gu ratio table was a very important tool when Yang devised the equations in ${\ll}$Ceyuan Haijing${\gg}$.

Objectives : Classical texts such as 『Donguibogam』 and 『Yixuerumen』 have previously been used as primers to students of Korean Medicine. However, their massiveness in volume and comprehensiveness in contents make it unfit for students whose school curriculum lacked classical chinese. This paper suggests another introductory text that would be more practical in the current situation. Methods :Based on the translation of the main text and annotations, the clinical meanings of the contents were studied. Afterwards its practical application as a primer was considered. Results : The text focuses on the medically important issues in simple and accessible form, making it an important text for beginners to establish the foundation in medicine. Conclusions : Beginners will be able to establish a standard for basic medical knowledge through this text and also apply its contents to diseases that are relatively easy to treat.

This presentation delivers the Appreciation of the The Pan Ocean Remote Sensing Conference Association for the cooperation with the Korean Society of Remote Sensing in organizing a joint conference with the International Symposium of Remote Sensing. It includes a brief history of the PORSEC Association with its mission and aims and the system of governance of the organization. Our vision for the future, is presented from this president's point of view. It includes a discussion of building expert capacity to use remote sensing techniques in developing nations by the sharing of knowledge and our ability to promote predictability of natural hazards with our workshops and science sessions. The article ends with an appreciation of our many sponsors.

Jejoongshinpyeon was published in 1799 by 康命吉 upon receiving orders from the king. This book is a critical accedence of Treasured Mirror of Oriental Medicine and aims to enunciate summarized medical knowledge. Through examining citation methods in Jejoongshinpyeon, the following conclusions could be reached: First, citation methods displayed in Jejoongshinpyeon is largely based on Treasured Mirror of Oriental Medicine. Second, the specific method of citing Treasured Mirror of Oriental Medicine involves collecting and describing annotations from different titles.. Third, Jejoongshinpyeon cites other medical texts by making additions to symptoms or prescriptions not included in Dongeuibogam.

The component reliability database is required in PSA (Probabilistic Safety Analysis) for NPP (Nuclear Power Plant). We have applied a generic database to the PSA for the Korean NPPs, since there is no specific component reliability database. Therefore we are developing the plant-specific component reliability database for domestic NPPs. We also extend the experience and knowledge of PSA and component reliability database for NPP to chemical industry We collect the raw data like component operation history and maintenance history and then input the required data for the component reliability database through failure analysis. With the database, we can not only perform PSA with real data but also perform maintenance optimization.

Digital CAD models are one of the most important assets the manufacturer holds. The trend toward concurrent engineering and outsourcing in the distributed development and manufacturing environment has elevated the importance of high quality CAD model and its efficient exchange. But designers have spent a great deal of their time repairing CAD model errors. Most of those poor quality models may be due to designer errors caused by poor or incorrect CAD data generation practices. In this paper, we propose a rule-based approach for healing CAD model errors. The proposed approach focuses on the design history data representation from a commercial CAD model, and the procedural method for building knowledge base to heal CAD model. Through the use of rule-based approach, a CAD model healing system can be implemented, and experiments are carried out on automobile part models.

This study is on landscape design of existing rural village focused on for improvement of community. It's so one of serious problems in landscape in almost rural area of the nation. For the finding clue of landscape design of village view through this study, we surveyed 1 village located in Sangju city. By surveying landscape design factor of village, we can propose design method and a few results as follow; Firstly, the structure of village landscape has five principle factors. The five factors of landscape are history and culture, housing and building, nature, agriculture, and environment design. Secondly, color existing of housings is to contain a primary color on roof which is not in harmony. Nevertheless, we can also find the reform measure and the possibility because of the knowledge of village people.

Fever of unknown origin (FUO) has been a convenient term used to classify patients who warrant a particular systemic approach to diagnostic evaluation and management. The greatest clinical concern in evaluating FUO is identifying patients whose fever has a serious or life-threatening cause when a delay in diagnosis could jeopardize successful intervention. Thorough history and complete physical examination are critical to uncover the etiologic diagnosis. Most cases of FUO in children are caused by atypical presentations of common diseases rather than by typical manifestations of rare disorders. Selection of diagnostic tests and speed of investigation should be guided by a knowledge of the disease severity, patient age, epidemiologic and geographic information, and any positive findings from a detailed history and physical examination. The three most common causes of FUO in children are infectious diseases, connective tissue diseases, and malignancy. In general, the prognosis of FUO in children is better than that of adults. Although the outcome is dependent on the primary disease process, fever abates spontaneously in most cases in whom the cause of fever remains unclear.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the meaning and roles of rhymes in oriental mathematics. To do this, we consider the rhymes in traditional chinese, korean, indian, arabian mathematical books and the mathematical knowledge which they implicate. And we discuss the reasons for which they were often used and the roles which they played. In addition, we suggest how to use them in teaching mathematics.
