This study puts the significance on the trends, the characteristics, the factors and background of the typical diversification of 2000's historical dramas and of their costume in conjunction with the popular culture. We analyzed the materials like the official web-sites, the articles and promotional photos based on 47 TV historical dramas and 21 historical movies. And we, approaching the characteristics of popular culture in connection with the social, cultural, economic, emotional and technical aspects, considered the trends of the historical dramas and their connection with the paradigms of the contemporary popular culture. The results of this analysis are summarized as follows. First, the 2000's historical dramas & their costume, in the process to widen communication with the public, rose the values of popular culture, economic values, traditional values. Second, the diversification of the costumes in historical dramas, derived from the diversification of the era Genre characters and this is related to the characteristics of popular culture in 2000's such as the diversity, the nature of mixture, flexibility and the orientation of variation. Third, the new media environment and the imaging technology of 2000's raised completeness of the historical dramas and their costume. As the technical background placed the emphasis on realistic representation. Fourth, the costume of historical dramas in 2000's reflected the intention of the production in consideration with the emotional aspects of popular culture.

This study analyzes historical drama costumes as a domain of popular culture through an examination of the changing process, factors, and design characteristics of historical drama costumes according to trend changes in historical dramas after the 2000s. Public interest in Korean traditional clothing has grown due to the historical drama fever. Research results are as follows. First, historical dramas are divided into: authentic historical dramas, popular dramas, and fusion dramas. Historical drama costumes show characters' status and roles to help viewers become absorbed in dramas and increase understanding the historical periods and knowledge. Second, the characteristics of TV historical drama costumes (according to changes of the historical dramas according to 2000) brought diversification as they are diversified by period, genre, and character and costumes which are suitable for them additionally resurfaced. Third, as for the design characteristics by type in TV historical costume after 2000s, authentic historical dramas' design was done by comparatively in-depth historical research based on historical materials to help public understand the past. Popular historical drama costumes are based on history, but the forms of costumes were emphasized (or exaggerated); in addition, colors, subjects, and patterns were modified to emphasize image beauty, dramas' atmosphere, and characters by reflecting intention. The fusion of historical dramas' costumes attracted the attention of the public about Korean designs that harmonized tradition with modernity to actively reflect current trends in past periods and show new types of creative design.
This study takes the identity and characteristics of public art in historical and cultural regions as the research object. Through the theoretical investigation and research on the public art of historical and cultural regions, six evaluation factors that shape spatial identity and characteristics were drawn: Environmental characteristics, public characteristics; Symbolic characteristics; Artistic characteristics;.Historical characteristics; Interactivity. The identity and characteristics of Taoxichuan public art in Jingdezhen was analyzed and evaluated. The results show that the " public art " of seven large chimneys is consistent with the historical structure of the industry. Among them, environmental, public characteristics, symbolic, artistic and historical characteristics of the Industria park have a high degree of preservation value and can be recognized as the historical landmark of the park. In the new public art, the artistic quality of public art, the environment, and the public characteristic of public art, are also at a moderate level, but it is comparatively weak. Public art recreated as an industrial heritage has formed an identity that can communicate spiritual sympathy to the public by forming a time-space communication between the public with historical relics and ceramic elements, and the new public art for local rehabilitation has given new artistic flavor to the city, but the new identity has not been shown.

Based on clothing prohibition modelling characteristics, this paper studies historical costumes through the traditional Chinese historical dramas of the 'Kang-Qian' heyday during the 'Qing Dynasty'; represents the research object as a representative Chinese historical drama. This paper systematically analyzed the utilization and reflection of royal women clothing prohibition. The results of the study are as follows. The royal women clothing prohibition of this drama shows three aspects of characteristics found in traditional Chinese costume modeling. First, some special colors that integrated ancient and modern styles were mainly used in this drama such as champagne color, wine color, and macaron color. Second, it mainly utilized the modelling of modern artificial pigments and floral patterns that are different from Chinese traditional female costumes of the 'Qing Dynasty'. Third, stage costumes for this drama are focused more on using a personality method to reflect the beauty of each actress by the application of individual elements. This study analyzed and studied the clothing prohibition of female costume from to show the traditional Chinese costume prohibition in a Chinese historical drama as well as reveal a few aspects of traditional female costume characteristics in the 'Kang-Qian' heyday during the 'Qing Dynasty'. This study examined traditional female costumes characteristics in modern historical dramas based on different figures and dynasties as well as discussed the factors at a deeper level and from varied aspects.
This study is purposed to find fundamental characteristics in Grassi's architecture which has architectural principles in architecture itself and in the general frame of the historical facts of architecture. His architectural theories can be explained for rationality, historicity, universality. The method of architectural composition can be divided into urban morphological characteristic and compositional characteristic of architecture. The characteristics of the former are the reconstruction of the urban structure by the readjustment of an urban axis which is based on historical continuity of the city, the open court which is a passage transformed from colonnade that is the historical vernacular type and the respect for the city-line which goes with historical context. The characteristics of the latter are the use transformed of nine square which gives consideration to centrality and typology at the same time and the hierarchic division of the principal space and the subordinate space for the functional typical purpose. This analysis shows that Grassi's architecture is on the base of historical continuity and urban reality and for him architectural work is mental work which conflict with the real world for the reconstruction of the city.

The society for conservation of local historical properties in Korea originated in Japan. It was transplanted by Joseon Governor-General to represent their positions in the field of the conservations of the cultural properties. Also the society for conservation of local historic properties represented the positions of the provincial government office because the representatives of that societies were the chief of local government offices. At that time, the fundamental concept of the historical property conservations was not settled, so they accomplished the conservation activities as the necessary way for themselves.They often made a proposal about repairs for conservation of historical building and suggested a application for the national budget. And they contributed to carry out the repair works of the historical properties in the early Japanese colonial period. But they was usually used to invigorate the tourism and to publicize the regional characteristics through the historical properties. Although the societies were privately-managed as a matter of form, they were governmentally-managed as a matter of fact. It was the limits of the societies for conservation of local historical properties at that time.
This Study is to analyze characteristics of costume change of according to the status of character succeeding the investigation of the ceremonial costume change in historical TV dramas that The Empress Myungsung entered. For this study, the costume images among historical TV dramas, that Myungsung entered, '500 years of Chosun Dynastyv, Taewongun(1990, MBC)', 'The Glorious Dawn(1993, KBS1)', 'The Empress Myungsung(2001, KBS2)'were used: The characteristics of the costume change of main character are as follows. First, main character's costume has been increase gradually in number and item. Second, Especially in the last work,'The Empress Myungsung', the royal costume based on historical evidence in aspects of silhouette, but it didn't according to the historical costume in aspects of color and textile. Nevertheless the costume reveals the status of each person significantly. Third, the costumes of the recent historical drama appears as a optical symbol that represents historical view point and different interpretation of each drama. Therefore the costume according to the status of the character wrong from the historical point of view. Consequently, TV costume in historical drama Myungsung entered has been focused on the beauty of the screen and dramatic effect than historical viewpoint. So the costume have been to be an essential visual part by means of the symbol revealed the purpose.
The background of historical Jing-Ju is a history, but the history Chinese wants to watch on the stage is the history dramatized by talented actors/actresses, not the history they want to learn. This thesis intends to examine traditional repertories whose background is historical people or accidents, among the lots of Jing-Ju repertories by each period, grasp periods, accidents, people, etc. preferred by Chinese and examine how they were dramatized. The general characteristics of historical Jing-Ju, grasped by each period, are as follows. The first, for the reason that there are lots of historical Jing-Ju in opera repertories, it can be mentioned by Chinese descriptive tradition and historical tradition. As lots of Chinese novels and drama works were written by history, basic models are suggested and clear development is shown, so there is an aspect which is advantageous for dramatization. Also, there are lots of works whose material is history for not only opera but also drama, TV drama because of the characteristics of China where historical books such as "史記", "戰國策", etc. The second, the period which is the background of historical Jing-Ju focuses on 漢 period, 三國 period, 隋唐 period, 宋 period and 明 period. It seems to be reflected by Chinese superiority to some degree if considering Jing-Ju was extremely popular during the 民國 period. The third, there are many characters who have patriotism loyalty among the historical Jing-Ju. It seems to be the result of discovering lots of materials for appealing patriotism in the situation they were dominated by Japan and the West during the 民國 period. The forth, the most single material is "三國志" among the historical Jing-Ju. This material has the factors of traditional idea, loyalty, fidelity, etc, but there are the most interesting characters and they were popularized by novels, etc. The fifth, in the historical Jing-Ju, the contents and character forms can be sometimes changed by character's skill because character's artistic achievement can play a great role for the completion of Jing-Ju.

Cultural-historical places, due to their strong symbolic sense of place shared in various people, have important impacts on people's cognitive and emotional reactions. Especially, the visual characteristics of surrounding areas of cultural -historical places directly influence the way the places are perceived, because they function as a visual background of the places. This study examined how the visual characteristics of surrounding landscape of cultural-historical places nfluenced the perception of the places. The visual characteristics of the surrounding landscape was minipulated by a computer simulation in the two aspects; quality and scale. The quality of the simulated landscape was divided by two kinds : natural and artificial . The scale of the simulated landscape was classified by three kinds : 1/3 of the middle ground, 2/3, and 3/3. Specifically, in each photo simulation, simulated natural or artificial background was introduced up to 1/3, 2/3 or the full height of historic monument. After a computer simulation, people's cognitive and emotional reactions to the simulated slides were investigated. The results showed that the quality of surrounding landscape have a great impact on all the cognitive and emotional reactions investigated. On the vontrary, the scale of surrounding landscape was found to habve an impact on partial reactions, such as all the emotions, part of the cognitions, and visiting preference only. The results revealed that the visual characteristics of surrounding landscape should be considered as the crucial elements in planning of cultural-historical places. Based on the study results, several suggestions were made for the landscape planning and conservation for cultural-historical places and historic cities.

After the revision of the Urban Park Act in 2005, historical parks emerged in Korea to promote the preservation of historical heritage while also offering recreation and education to ordinary citizens. It is now time to examine the characteristics of domestic historical parks by examining their current operational conditions, and seek appropriate institutional improvements. By studying the characteristics of historical parks in various countries, as well as the trends in the designation and development of domestic historical parks, this study attempts to examine the function and role of historical parks, and seeks a direction for future action. Through its literature review, this study also examines the current state of historical parks through cooperation with relevant public officials and experts. The results of the study show that, despite historical resources being concentrated in sites dating to the Joseon Dynasty, they also include heritage pertaining to persons, events, and places. There is also a trend toward increasing the focus on modern heritage. Historical parks show differences across existing cities and new towns, as well as between major cities and provincial cities. Provincial cities showed a recent trend of using historical parks as important resources for strengthening their economics and solidifying their identities. Also, there are many cases where the designated category for a park is changed to a historical park. In such cases, there may be a problem where certain functions of the park run into conflict. Domestic historical parks can be divided into four categories: heritage parks, memorial parks, historical theme parks, and historic parks. Such detailed classification schemes may serve as the strategic foundation for later conservation and usage of historical heritage, as well as a standard for suggesting concrete direction in the operation of historical parks.
