쌍계사 오층 석탑 부지의 지진 응답 특성 평가를 통한 1936년 지리산 지진 세기의 정량적 분석 (Quantitative Analysis on Intensity of 1936 Jirisan Earthquake by Estimating Seismic Response Characteristics at the Site of Five-story Stone Pagoda in Ssang-gye-sa)

  • 한반도 남쪽 경계 부근에 위치한 지리산 내의 불교 사찰인 쌍계사에서 1936년 7월 4일 규모 5.0의 지진이 발생하였다. 이 지진으로 인하여 쌍계사 경내 건축물과 구조물이 심각한 피해를 입었으며, 특히 지진시 사찰 내 오층 석탑의 탑두가 전도하여 추락하였다. 이 지진 피해 사례는 역사 지진 발생 이외의 강진 기록이 전무한 중진 지역의 한반도에서의 지반 운동 세기 평가에 유용하게 활용될 수 있다. 쌍계사 부지에서의 국부적 부지 효과 및 그에 따른 지반 운동을 평가하기 위하여, 시추와 크로스홀 및 SASW 시험과 같은 현장 탄성파 시험으로 구성된 종합적인 지반 조사를 사찰 경내에서 수행하였다. 조사된 지반 특성을 토대로, 다양한 지진파를 적용한 부지고유 지진 응답 해석을 0.044g부터 0.220g 범위의 여섯 가지 입력 암반 노두 가속도 수준으로 대표적 쌍계사 부지에 대해 일차원 등가선형 및 비선형 기법을 적용하여 실시하였다. 부지고유 지진 응답 결과로부터 쌍계사의 부지 주기 부근의 단주기 영역에서 증폭된 지반 운동을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한, 본 연구의 부지 응답 해석 결과와 선행 연구의 석탑 실물 크기 지진 시험 결과를 비교 분석하여 1936년 지리산 지진의 암반 노두 지진 세기를 평가하였다.

  • We surveyed Preah Pithu monument group site in Angkor. We made the map of present condition throughout the actual measurement and 3D scan. And we restored the floor plan, and completed the map of site placement. During this processing, we confirmed the middle axis of temples and studied the relation of temples and made clear the order of sites. Throughout this studying, we verified the middle axis of sites is not matched in Preah Pithu monument group. It is different aspect comparing with general Khmer religion architectures which were built with the planification belonging to strong royal authority and shared main axis through whole sites. In other words, we can estimate that Preah Pithu monument group was not built with planification rather than expanded as occasional demand during the process of actual use.

창조도시 볼로냐의 쇠퇴공장지역 재생 현지사례연구 (Field Case Study on Regeneration of Decaying Ex-factory area in a Creative City 「Bologna」)

  • response to the global city. It was developed to cope with the decline of the manufacturing industry, a rise in unemployment and a welfare state system in danger. In cities of the concept, there has been much change in existing urban space and accordingly wisdoms and knowledge has been accumulated. The purpose of this research is to scrutinize urban spatial modification of a regenerated model city "Bologna". The target area of analysis was a ex-factory ailing district. Field site visit, deep interview with professionals and citizens, walk through observation, and historial literature review on the site were employed. As results, its history, retrofit process and current change were systematically described. The results showed ways of thinking, attitude toward historic preservation, technology, and creativity of using existing buildings for contemporary functions. This has a significant implication on Korean urban development which mostly, has ignored the existing value of community and buildings.

일제의 필지 분할에 의한 동래부 객사 공간의 해체 과정 (The Process of Dissolution on the Lots-Subdivision at Gaeksa of Dongnae-bu by Japanese Imperialism)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the process of lots-subdivision within the block of Gaeksa at Dongnae-bu under the rule of Japanese Imperialism. Gaeksa of the old government office was the sanctuary that symbolized the sovereignty. Therefore it was naturally a main object of demolition and then the site was converted to other purpose. And Gaeksa was not only converted into the elementary school and the public market but the historic site also processed to break down for opening the road through Japanese Occupation of Korea. The main reasons of lots-subdivision were the transfer from state property to private ownership and the urban development project. Needless to say, the particular major reason was derived from the intention of Japanese Imperialism to destroy the traditional urban. As a result, Gaeksa can not be recognized the traces of today and contributes to the demolition of the remaining ancient building. Finally the deformed urban structure was left over from destroyed building.

  • With both Gatdui and Daean areas, under construction for upgrading the old housing in Gyeongju downtown area, this study was carried out to find out implications of upgrading methods in a historical and cultural city, by using a physical survey in the areas and life survey among their residents, as well as by analysing the level of their satisfaction with and requirement for housing and their preferring housing type. The upgrading patterns of residents were analysed by examining cases constructed newly in the manner of upgrading. The findings showed that it is required for both existing authorities and private parties to assume roles and responsibilities for upgrading the old housing while recently there have been continuous conflicts between development and preservation of the historic and cultural resources within the city and even the city identity also has been neglected by residents. In addition, it is necessary to take development conditions and resident's economic situation into consideration and introduce a wide range of methods for rearrangement, by turning the importance of housing upgrading to social rearrangement for the purpose of positive alternation.

Facial Bone Fracture Patients Visiting Pusan National University Hospital in Busan and Yangsan: Trends and Risks

  • Purpose: This study examined patients with facial bone fracture visiting Pusan National University Dental Hospital to understand the trends, and to enhance appropriate care and treatment for patients with facial bone fracture. Methods: We investigated 531 patients presenting with facial bone fracture in Yangsan and 802 patients in Busan from January 2010 to December 2013. We divided the patients by year, month, gender, age, site, and cause to compare with historic data and other studies. Results: The gender ratio was 3.58:1 in Yangsan and 4.31:1 in Busan. Patients aged in their 20s had the highest number of facial bone fractures in both Yangsan and Busan. The most frequent fracture site was the mandible, and the most frequent cause was slip down in both Yangsan and Busan. Conclusion: The investigation and comparison of patients with facial bone fracture who visited Pusan National University Hospital located at Yangsan and Busan from 2010 to 2013 found a difference in the total number of patients at each hospital, but the trends were not significantly different.

경주도심 노후주거지 현지개량방식의 주거환경개선방안에 관한 연구 (A Study of the On-site Housing Improvement Project and Suggestions for the Downtown Area of Gyeongju)

  • With old housing being renovated in both the Gatdui and Daean areas, of the Gyeongju downtown area, this study was carried out to examine the implications of various renewal approaches in a city that is rich in both history and culture. The study included a physical survey of the areas under construction as well as a questionnaire given to residents to analyse their level of satisfaction with and requirements for housing and their preferring housing types. The study also analysed renewal patterns among the residents were analysed by examining the ways in which particular renovations had been performed. The findings showed that both governmental authorities and private parties need to be involved and work together if such renewals are to be successful. In recent years there have been regular conflicts between those in favor of development and those in favor of preserving the historic and cultural resources of the city. At times the city identity has been neglected by residents. In the future, it will be necessary to take both development conditions and the residents' economic situations into consideration when making decisions about renewal and to consider a wide range of methods for rearranging housing patterns, with the goal of transforming housing renovation into a broader program of social rearrangement for the purpose of improving social patterns in the city.

프랭크 로이드 라이트의 '텔리에센 웨스트'의 건축화 과정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Architectural Thought and Its Construction shown in F. L. Wright's Taliesin West')

  • Taliesin West is a meaningful historic site in architecture field, because its place had still been existing only one in the world as a ideal architectural community for working and living as well as learning by doing for Taliesin Fellowships and others based on F. L. Wright's idea of Organic Architecture. The main purpose of this study was to follow up the architectural thought and its construction shown in F. L. Wright's 'Taliesin West'. A study on the key notes are as follows; 1) The key-clue of the construction background for Taliesin West was based on the project of 'Complex Campus Building' which was early planed by F. L. Wright. 2) A basic design idea for Taliesin West was admiring from its own site characters as well as the Experimental construction methods and materials. 3) Design motive of Taliesin West was based on American Indian's movable shelter which called 'Tepee.' 4) A construction of F. L. Wright's temporary studio, Ocotilla, was a good opportunity to construct for Taliesin West which construction methods, covered and framed, were same as Ocotilla. 5) A concept idea of the master plan for Taliesin West came from combining Taliesin's Hillside Home School and Complex Campus Building project. 6) Construction of Taliesin West was a final accomplished place as F. L. Wright's utopia architecture and community.

고려 강도궁궐 위치 연구 (A Study on the Location of Goryeo GangdoPalace)

  • The purpose of this study is to review the research on Gangbang Palace and to presume the location of the palace through the study of feng shui. when the Mongols invaded, Ganghwado was the capital, moved from Gaegyeong and it was maintained for 39 years. At that time, the palace construction followed the palace of Gaegyeong, and the names such as Gujeong毬庭, Palace, and Sasa寺社 were the same as those of Gaegyeong. However, despite several archaeological excavations at Goryeo Palace Site, Historic Site No. 133, no actual remains of the Goryeo period were found. After the negative opinions on the current Goryeo Palace site became public, there have been several previous studies on the estimation of the location of the Goryeo Palace Site, and although there have been achievements, the location of the Goryeo Palace is still not confirmed. The key to presuming the location of the GangdoPalace江都宮闕 is first, whether the palace was located in the south of Songaksan, and second, at what point it was located in the south of Songaksan. As to whether the palace was located in the south of Songaksan, it was presumed that the Chiso治所 of Ganghwabu was located in Gukhwari, referring to the record in 『Shinjeungdongguknyeojiseungnam新增東國輿地勝覽』 that Goryeosan, a guardian mountain鎭山, was 'five ri west of Bu府西五里'. Accordingly, the location of the palace of 'Budongsimni 府東十里' in the old literature was estimated to be south of Songaksan Mountain. Also, the location of the palace on the south side of Songaksan was approached from a feng shui theory. Three places for the palace to be located are presumed to be 'Ganghwa Girls' High School', 'Seonggwang Church', or 'Above the Ganghwa-gun library', and the central axis of the palace is estimated to be 'Above the Ganghwa-gun library' where the corridor-type building relics were found among them, and the other two areas were presumed to be other buildings within the palace.

별서명승의 개념에 대한 의미론적 해석 (A Meaningful Interpretation on Concept of Byeulseo Scenic Spot)

  • 본 연구는 별서명승의 개념을 정립하기 위하여 시도된 것으로서, 별서 및 명승의 정의를 먼저 제시한 후, 별서가 별서명승으로 불릴 수 있는 근거와 이유, 당위성을 밝히고자 하였다. 우리나라 명승지정 기준은 3항에 저명한 경관의 전망지점, 5항에 저명한 건물 또는 정원 및 중요한 전설지 등으로서 종교, 교육, 생활, 위락 등과 관련된 경승지를 명승으로 지정할 수 있게 되어 있다. 따라서 여기에 덧붙여 우리 선조들이 별서공간에 대한 명승개념을 정의해 놓은 사례들을 살펴봄으로써, 향후 별서공간을 역사 및 생활명승으로서의 명승으로 지정해 나갈 수 있는 준거를 찾아보고자 한다. 첫째, 문화재법상 명승의 개념은 경치가 좋기로 이름난 건물이 있는 경승지 또는 이름난 풍경을 볼 수 있는 지점으로서 경치도 중요하지만, 대상지의 담겨진 삶의 기록(Story Telling)인 역사자원을 발굴해 내는데 관심을 기울여야 할 것이다. 둘째, 우리나라의 명승에 대한 지정 기준은 자연경관, 저명한 경치가 있는 동식물군락지, 경관조망점, 저명한 건물 또는 정원(庭苑) 및 중요한 전설지 등으로 다양화되지 못하고 있으므로 생활명승으로서의 별서명승의 지정을 확대할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 외국 사례 중 일본의 경우, 별서 및 주택정원을 명승으로 196개소나 지정하여 전체 명승 355개의 55.4%에 달하고 있음에 유의하여, 우리도 이들의 제도를 우리에 맞게 원용해볼 필요가 있다. 특히 저명한 건물이나 중요사적 및 민속자료 등이 포함된 대단위 경관지역은 복합문화명승이나 특별명승과 같은 개념으로 지정할 필요가 있다. 넷째, 사적, 중요 민속자료 등으로 분류된 정원, 원지 중에서 명승으로의 가치가 더욱 부각되는 대상지의 명승으로의 문화재 지정종별 분류작업을 지속시켜야 할 것이다. 다섯째, 생활명승이면서 경치가 아름다운 별서정원의 명승지정을 확대하여야 한다. 정자들은 경승지에 선비들이 은일하며, 학문을 했던 별서의 중심공간으로서, 작정자가 분명하고 행장기록이 있어 국민들에게 이야기거리를 창출하여 홍보할 수 있는 가치가 있는 경우 명승의 대상이 될 수 있기 때문이다. 여섯째, 별서정원에서 경치가 아름다운 조망점의 경우 지정대상이 될 수 있으므로 명승 지정을 확대해야 한다. 우리나라는 별서정원의 경우 조망점이 우수한 사례가 많고, 아직 조망점이 좋은 대상지를 명승으로 지정한 경우가 거의 없기 때문이다.
