Using the case of the Ghent University and its Technology Park, we will illustrate how changing policies and practices at the level of the university concerning research valorization have an impact on our science park. We will also demonstrate how the evolving nature of our science park has a clear impact on the university, as the science park becomes more and more an integral part of the university knowledge eco-system. We will also highlight the involvement of Ghent University in the Korea Songdo Global University Campus Project.

Technological innovations, as the key to building competitive advantage, need a comprehensive review to address the issues related to transformation of the Indian industries. The present paper reports the broad findings of the first National Innovation Survey undertaken by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The findings presented here highlight the status of innovation related activities in different industrial sectors, its weaknesses, and areas requiring institutional interventions. The survey results underline the fact that the innovation activities in Indian industries are more for survival in a competitive market conditions than to create market advantage. A sort of disconnect between the innovation support system and the production system is a discernible fact that surfaces from the study. The study also indicates certain characteristics of the innovation behaviour of firms that brings out developing country issues of innovation.

In this paper, we introduce a method to effectively highlight retrieval results without impairing meaningful features after historical documents were digitized into XML format. Especially, making the best of the features of historical documents, we perform string matching for the highlighting. Also, considering the features of the XML document, we carry out various processes when highlighting tag is inserted.

색선(Color line)은 물체의 색을 표현하는 방법으로 단색인 물체의 색은 하나의 색선으 표현된다는 것이다. 하이라이트가 발생하는 반짝이는 물체는 색선이 하이라이트를 포함하기 때문에 하이라이트를 찾고 하이라이트에서 영역을 확장하면서 색선을 생성할 수 있다. 그러나 단순한 영역확장방법은 색을 구분이 난해하기 때문에 제한적인 영역확장 방법을 사용해야 한다. 여기서 노출 시간이 다른 이미지를 한 장 더 촬영하여 하이라이트의 색상 방향을 설정하고 이를 기반으로 색선을 생성한다. 본 연구에서는 하이라이트 기반으로 색선을 생성하고 생성된 색선을 이용하여 반짝이는 특성도 제거한 후 결과를 비교한다.

최근 다양한 개인방송 플랫폼에 의해 엄청난 양의 콘텐츠가 업로드 되고 있으며 그 중 축구와 야구와 같은 스포츠 영상이 차지하는 비율이 상당하다. 방송사에서는 시청자들이 편의를 위해 경기 영상 중 흥미를 끌거나 또는 중요한 장면을 모아 하이라이트 영상을 만들어 제공하는데, 이는 시간과 비용이 많이 소요되는 문제가 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 스포츠 영상에서 자동으로 하이라이트를 예측하는 모델을 제안하다. 우리의 모델은 오디오와 이미지 정보를 함께 사용하며, 영상의 단기적 전후관계와 중장기적 흐름을 동시에 파악하는 모델을 제시한다. 또한 좋은 특징벡터를 추출하기 위해 GAN을 결합하는 방법을 설명한다. 제안하는 모델들을 야구 경기 영상을 이용하여 평가한다.

In this paper, the power electronics requirement and the controls of an induction motor for fuel cell electric vehicle system are presented. The power topology is selected based on performance, cost, size, volume, manufacturability, component count and simplicity. Another highlight of the topology is the reduction of battery bank and its control strategy. The proposed approach consists a full-bridge DC/DC converter to boost the fuel cell voltage. The induction motor operated with vector control is driven by a three-phase PWM inverter supplied by the DC-link voltage. The investigation of the electric vehicle performed due to parameter variation of the induction motor has been presented.

The phonetic study of English language in Japan is a matter of great importance, a problem of major concern and a. vital subject The special difficulties which the Japanese college students have in learning English lie in the field of prosodic features of English, such as, syllable, rhythm, stress, intonation, prominence, of.. These difficulties have made Japanese students' pronunciation relatively monotonous or mora(ness). In my presentation, the specific phonetic features of Japanese language first will be discussed and clarified. And then the effective teaching method of intonation to improve Japanese students' pronunciation will be suggested. Finally, the oral dialogue with intonation analysis and transcription in the class room will be demonstrated to highlight the presentation.

The current study examined 3- and 4-year-olds' affective decision-making in a variety of cultural contexts by comparing European Canadian children to Chinese Canadian, Hong Kong Chinese, and mainland Chinese children (N = 245). All children were tested with a delay of gratification task in which children chose between an immediate reward of lower value and a delayed reward of higher value. Results showed that Chinese Canadian and Hong Kong Chinese children chose more delayed rewards than European Canadian children, with mainland Chinese children showing a trend toward more delayed rewards. Across cultures, 4-year-olds chose more delayed rewards than 3-year-olds; and among 4-year-olds, girls made more such choices than boys. The findings are consistent with previous findings that exposure to Chinese culture is associated with better cool executive function, but they also highlight the importance of examining development across diverse cultural contexts.

This study examined preschool children's conceptions of social situations and mothers' responses toward their children in the home context. Participants were 78 kindergarten children and their mothers living Seoul, Korea. Results indicated that children did not distinguish social-conventional situations from moral situations, but they clearly distinguished social-conventional and moral situations from personal situations. Mothers' reported that they would make indirect responses to children's behaviors in moral situations to highlight intrinsic consequences such as violating others' rights and happiness. In contrast, they said that they would make direct responses such as mentioning rules and manners in social-conventional situations. Mothers supported their children's choices in personal situations unless the situations were dangerous or detrimental to children's health.

The purpose of this study was to examine dental care utilization and expenditures among children aged 0 to 19 years using Korea Health Panel Survey (KHPS) data in 2008 - 2013. Weighted estimates were nationally representative and statistical significances were analysed by $x^2$ test or adjusted Wald test using STATA 13 software. While dental care utilization increased steadily among children from 2008 through 2013, less than one-third the children received dental care in 2013. Compared with 2008, the proportion of restorative care, oral surgery, preventive care decreased and the proportion of orthodontic care, prosthetic care increased. While the proportion of amalgam markedly decreased, the proportion of resin increased. This study highlight socioeconomic disparities in dental utilization and expenditures among children. Especially the findings provide a baseline assessment for examining trends on dental care for children in the future.
