This study analyzes the management performance of environmentally-friendly rice farms using GCM method based on the multifaceted approach. This approach compares the management performance of GCM farms before and after the introduction of GCM, as well as the performance of GCM farms with the performance of conventional farms. It also compares the technical and managerial competence level of surveyed GCM farms with that of conventional farms based on the standard diagnosis table developed by Rural Development Adminstration. Results showed that average income has increased after the introduction of the GCM method and the average income of GCM farms was higher than that of conventional farms, while the level of rice production in farms using GCM method was lower than that of conventional farms. In addition, the technical and managerial competence score of surveyed farms using GCM method was higher than that of conventional farms. These results implies that the higher management performance of GCM farms compared to the conventional farms is attributed to not only the GCM method but also the competence level of farms using GCM method.
Designing cost-effective service recovery strategies mix has been recognized one of important issues by both service researchers and practitioners. In spite of the rising interest in them, there has been scarce studies on them. In this paper, we try to find cost-effective service recovery strategies mix via game-theoretic modeling. Especially, we focus on the possible incentives such as voucher type reward and service re-performance which have different cost structure. We investigated three questions about the topics as follows:(1) Should the service firm use the possible incentive scheme such as voucher and service re-performance for service recovery?, (2) How much voucher and service re-performance is adequate for service recovery under diverse service failure severity level?, (3) How much voucher and service re-performance is adequate for service recovery under diverse threshold level to make the customer repurchase? The results are as follows:(1) The use of both voucher and service re-performance for service recovery results in greater surplus for the service firm. (2) The higher gets the service failure severity level, the higher total incentives are required in the equilibrium. As service failure severity level gets higher, higher level of discount might be more useful to the service firm. However, service re-performance should be cut down above some critical level of service failure severity in the equilibrium. (3) The higher gets the threshold level to make the customer repurchase, the higher incentives are required in the equilibrium, and the higher portion of voucher incentive is required relative to that of service re-performance in the equilibrium.
On the basis of design theory of soil inversion, two types of moldboard plow with secondary soil mover was designed and constructed to invert furrow slice at same position with furrow bottom. A series of soil bin experiment was carried to investigate the performance of prototypes. First prototype of new concept plow showed two kinds of problems during the preliminary experiment. For the plowing depth of 6cut the prototype did not invert the furrow slice, instead it just cut furrow bottom and the furrow slice returned to the original position. For the plowing depth of 8cm, there was soil clogging problem at the rear part of plow. From the above results it was concluded that the first prototype can not be used for the inversion of furrow slice at same position with furrow bottom. Second prototype could invert furrow slice at the same position with furrow bottom, but the performance was affected by soil moisture content soil hardness and plowing speed very much. For the higher soil moisture content, for the higher soil hardness and higher plowing speed, the prototype showed higher soil inversion performance. For the second prototype the inversion ratio was almost 100%, inversion angle was in the range of 90 to 100 degree and side displacement was less than 4 cm. But the furrow slice was not continuous, it was cut in the length of 30 to 40 cm. The reason why the furrow slice was cut in that length is blamed for the design of moldboard surface. The specific draft of prototype was in the range of 37.24 kN/㎡ to 42.14 kN/㎡ this value is a little higher than that of the conventional plow, or from 30.38 kN/㎡ to 33.32 kN/㎡. But the difference was not so big. The inversion performance of the second prototype for the field experiment was much better than that of soil bin experiment due to the better soil and operational conditions. Sticky and compacted soil conditions, and higher plowing speed was suitable for the plowing operation of the second prototype
Objectives: This study was conducted to test the critical thinking tendency, clinical practice satisfaction, and clinical performance, and analyze the factors impacting clinical practice satisfaction and clinical performance of dental hygiene students. Methods: The study conducted a written survey during the period between 30 July ~20 August 2019, among 3rd and 4th year dental hygiene students from Seoul, Gyung-gi region, who had taken clinical practice courses. Using SPSS 22.0 program (IBM SPSS statistics, New York, USA), the study analyzed the final 174 cases. Results: Dental hygiene students scored 3.33±0.43, 3.48±0.83, and 3.30±0.58 for critical thinking, clinical practice satisfaction, and clinical performance, respectively. The clinical thinking score was higher when their study performance was good (p<0.001), clinical practice satisfaction was higher when their major satisfaction was satisfactory (p<0.001), higher when their relationship with their clinical practice partner was good, and the clinical performance was better when the students' major satisfaction was good (p<0.001). The study performance yielded better results when their study achievement was better (p<0.05). Clinical practice satisfaction (r=0.156) and clinical performance (r=0.393) showed a positive correlation with critical thinking, and clinical performance had a positive correlation with clinical practice satisfaction. The impact factor for clinical practice satisfaction appeared to be clinical performance (p<0.05) and major satisfaction (p<0.001), and the factors impacting the clinical performance were among the sub-causes of critical thinking (p<0.05), intellectual fairness (p<0.05), watchfulness (p<0.05), clinical practice satisfaction (p<0.05), and major satisfaction (p<0.01). Conclusions: Results of the study showed that for dental hygiene students, critical thinking, clinical practice satisfaction, clinical performance, and major satisfaction were the impact factors affecting the students' clinical performance. Therefore, the study recommends that development of educational programs and operation of a field-based curriculum is necessary to improve critical thinking, clinical practice satisfaction, and major satisfaction.

To provide a design direction for high efficiency thermoelectric module(TEM) dehumidifiers, the effects of design factors of TEM dehumidifiers on dehumidification energy efficiency and performance were numerically investigated. The design factors considered in this study are the TEM capacity, the performance of heat exchangers on the heating and cooling surfaces of the TEM. The higher capacity of the TEM results the higher dehumidification energy efficiency and performance at some operating voltage. The enhanced performance of the heat exchanger on heating surface increased the dehumidification energy efficiency and performance at all the operating voltage. The enhanced performance of the heat exchanger on cooling surface decreased the dehumidification energy efficiency and performance at all operating voltage.

This study was targeted on the Korean, Chinese, and Japanese parents of preschoolers to investigate the importance and satisfaction of foodservice quality and the importance and performance of foodservice management of the preschool foodservice establishments. The present study conducted a survey on 390 randomly chosen parents of preschoolers (130 Korean, 130 Chinese, and 130 Japanese). Respondents' importance-satisfaction of foodservice quality characteristics and their importance-performance of foodservice management were measured. In order to test for differences between the groups, paired t-test, one way ANOVA, and IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis) were performed. The results were as follows. The importance of foodservice quality was significantly higher than the satisfaction on all items, according to the parents of Korea, China, and Japan. The importance of foodservice quality was higher in Korean parents than in Chinese and Japanese parents. According to ISA results with foodservice quality characteristics, the characteristics with relatively low satisfaction but high importance (II quadrant) was 'Diversity of menu' in both Korean and Chinese parents, and 'Sanitation of tables and chairs' in both Korean and Japanese parents. The importance of foodservice management was significantly higher than performance on all items in Korean, Chinese and Japanese parents. The performance of foodservice management was higher in Chinese than in Japanese and Korean parents. According to IPA results with foodservice management, the management with relatively low performance but high importance (II quadrant) was 'Preparation' in Korean parents, and 'Facility and equipment' in Japanese parents. Therefore, the items with relatively low satisfaction (performance) and high importance should be well-managed.
The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics and differences in the perception of professionalism of workers in public and private social welfare institutions, and to understand the effect of professionalism perception on job commitment and performance. The main results and implications are as follows. First, there was a statistically significant difference in the perception of professionalism of public and private social workers. Specifically, private 3.26 and public 3.15 were higher in the recognition of professionalism of social workers working in the private sector than in the public sector. Second, both public and private social workers' perception of professionalism had an effect on job commitment and job performance. In other words, the higher the recognition of professionalism, the higher the job commitment and performance of both private and public sector workers. Third, workers in the private sector were higher in both job commitment and job performance than those in public institutions. In short, although professionalism perception affects the job commitment and performance of private and public workers, the job commitment and performance of private social welfare organizations with high professionalism awareness is high.

The purpose of this study is to understand the effect of physical therapist's vocational consciousness and emotional labor on organizational performance. The subjects of this study are physical therapists working in a total of 8 hospitals in Seoul from May 25, 2019 to June 30, 2019: 2 private hospitals, 2 semi-general hospitals, 2 general hospitals, and 2 university hospitals. It was conducted with 137 people. For the analysis, the SPSS program was used, frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis were performed, and a regression analysis was performed on the causal relationship between variables. First, as a result of examining the effect of the physical therapist's vocational consciousness on organizational performance, the higher the vocational consciousness factor, the higher the organizational performance, which means that it has a positive and significant effect on organizational performance. Second, as a result of examining the effect of physical therapist's emotional labor on organizational performance, it was found that the surface behavior factor, a sub-factor of emotional labor, had an effect on organizational performance. On the other hand, the factors of inner behavior were found to have no significant effect on organizational performance. This means that the higher the vocational consciousness perceived by the physical therapist, the higher the organizational performance, and the higher the surface behavior of emotional labor, the lower the organizational performance. This study is considered to be the basic data for preparing a plan to improve the organizational performance of physical therapists.
This study investigates what effects employment flexibility have on the business performance in the computer programming, system consultancy and related services. An analysis of the effects of employment flexibility on outcomes of human resource management revealed that companies which had a higher proportion of temporary agency workers and adjusted employment more frequently had higher turnover rates. The study also showed that the higher the proportion of non-regular workers, outsourcing and the easier it was to adjust working hours, the higher the absence rate. Meanwhile, companies that made employment adjustments more often showed higher defect rates and lower customer satisfaction. It was also found that in companies with a higher proportion of outsourcing and higher possibility of employment adjustments, workers were less interested in new technologies.
