The purpose of this study is to find the characteristics of planning factors to the outdoor space of the olympic village munchen. The result of the research are follows; 1) The horizontal gardens of the low buildings and hanging gardens on the terraces of the high-rise buildings are intended as a continuation of the concept of the modelled landscape. 2) By virtue of the choice of the type of building and the way in which the buildings are staggered, the residents have an unimpaired view of the green spaces and recreation areas. 3) Leisure value is further enhanced by the proximity of the residential arms to the footpath running north to south. 4) The terraces allow the residents to enjoy more sun and sky, so that the view into the distance is the rule. 5) To improve orientation, the pedestrian paths to the residential wings are also situated directly over the underground vehicle-access roads.
The present study was carried out to develop highly efficient RC ornithopter 'Songgolmae' powered by motor and battery. Designed electric ornithopter weighs 277 grams and has 3 channels radio control. 1t runs on an electric motor by a lithium polymer battery and has a gear ratio of about $75{\sim}95$ to 1 to flap its 88 cm wingspan. The aerodynamic performance of the ornithopter, applied to a flapping motion only, was validated by flight tests. Flight times have exceeded 23 minutes until the battery was used up. The flight test results indicate that the ornithopter developed here has sufficient thrust to propel itself in a forward flight. From the economical point of view and the handling of the RC ornithopter, it can be said that the developed robot ornithopter is an effective RC ornithopter. This radio controlled ornithopter flies its way high into the sky just like a real bird flies.

The second generation of stars in the globular clusters (GCs) of the Milky Way (MW) exhibit unusually high N, Na, or Al, compared to typical Galactic halo stars at similar metallicities. The halo field stars enhanced with such elements are believed to have originated in disrupted GCs or escaped from existing GCs. We identify such stars in the metallicity range -3.0 < [Fe/H] < 0.0 from a sample of ~36,800 giant stars observed in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey and Large Sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope survey, and present their dynamical properties. The N-rich population (NRP) and N-normal population (NNP) among our giant sample do not exhibit similarities in either in their metallicity distribution function (MDF) or dynamical properties. We find that, even though the MDF of the NRP looks similar to that of the MW's GCs in the range of [Fe/H] < -1.0, our analysis of the dynamical properties does not indicate similarities between them in the same metallicity range, implying that the escaped members from existing GCs may account for a small fraction of our N-rich stars, or the orbits of the present GCs have been altered by the dynamical friction of the MW. We also find a significant increase in the fraction of N-rich stars in the halo field in the very metal-poor (VMP; [Fe/H] < -2.0) regime, comprising up to ~20% of the fraction of the N-rich stars below [Fe/H] = -2.5, hinting that partially or fully destroyed VMP GCs may have in some degree contributed to the Galactic halo. A more detailed dynamical analysis of the NRP reveals that our sample of N-rich stars do not share a single common origin. Although a substantial fraction of the N-rich stars seem to originate from the GCs formed in situ, more than 60% of them are not associated with those of typical Galactic populations, but probably have extragalactic origins associated with Gaia Sausage/Enceladus, Sequoia, and Sagittarius dwarf galaxies, as well as with presently unrecognized progenitors.
Globular clusters (GCs) are known to be one of the oldest objects in the Milky Way. Therefore the dynamical informations of GCs are very important to understand the formation and evolution of our Galaxy. Motion of GCs in the halo of Galaxy can be traced by radial velocities of individual stars and proper motions of GCs. Measuring the radial velocities of stars in GCs has been challenging for decades because the brightness of stars (even for the brightest stars) in GCs are too faint (V>14) to measure the radial velocities. The available large telescopes (D>4m) enable us to observe the spectra of stars in the red giant branch of GCs, and it is now more plausible to measure the radial velocities of stars in GCs. On the contrary it is still very difficult to measure the sky-projected two-dimensional motion of GCs in Galaxy even with the large telescopes because the distance to GCs is quite large (~10kpc) compared to the spatial resolution of present-day large ground-based telescopes. Instruments on-board Hubble Space Telescope are ideal to study the proper motion of GCs thanks to their extremely high spatial resolution (~0.05arcsec). We report a study of proper motion of NGC 104, one of the most metal-rich Milky Way GCs, based-on archival images of NGC 104 observed using HST/ACS. Using the stars in Small Magellanic Cloud as reference coordinate, we are able to measure the proper motions of individual stars in NGC 104 with a high precision. We discuss the internal dynamics of stars in NGC 104 by comparing proper motion results based-on shorter (<1yr) and longer (~7yrs) time durations.
Since the radar satellite missions such as TerraSAR-X and COSMO-SkyMed were launched in 2007, the spatial resolution of spaceborne SAR(Synthetic Aperture Radar) images reaches about 1 meter at spotlight mode. In 2011, the first Korean SAR satellite, KOMPSAT-5, will be launched, operating at X-band with the highest spatial resolution of 1 m as well. The improved spatial resolution of state-of-the-art SAR sensor suggests expanding InSAR(Interferometric SAR) analysis in urban monitoring. By the way, the shadow and layover phenomena are more prominent in urban areas due to building structure because of inherent side-looking geometry of SAR system. Up to date the most conventional algorithms do not consider the return signals at the frontage of building during InSAR phase and SAR intensity simulation. In this study the new algorithm introducing multi-scattering in layover region is proposed for phase and intensity simulation, which is utilized a precise LIDAR DSM(Digital Surface Model) in urban areas. The InSAR phases simulated by the proposed method are compared with TerraSAR-X spotlight data. As a result, both InSAR phases are well matched, even in layover areas. This study will be applied to urban monitoring using high resolution SAR data, in terms of change detection and displacement monitoring at the scale of building unit.

We introduce a new project of constructing a large spectro-photometric samples of metal-poor (i.e. [Fe/H] < -1.0) subdwarfs in the Galactic halo. The sample is collected from a compilation of the stellar objects that are cross-identified both in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) and recently published data from GAIA mission. The color range of the selected stars covers 0.0 < (g-r) < 2.0; thus the spectral types of our sample span from early F- through late K-type stars on the metal-poor main sequence (i.e. the local subdwarf sequence). We scrutinized the physical, chemical, and kinematical properties of our samples using their SDSS medium-resolution (R ~ 2000) spectra, combined with accurately measured proper motions from GAIA satellite. Our study will provide useful information on the global trend in the various properties (e.g. abundance pattern as a function of the galactocentric distance; rotational velocity vs [Fe/H] ${\cdots}$ etc) of the metal-poor subdwarf populations in the Galactic halo, which is ultimately important to better understand metal-poor stellar evolutionary models and chemical evolution of the Milky Way halo in the early phase of its formation. Further our comprehensive catalog of the Galactic field halo subdwarfs collected in this study will serve a solid groundwork for future follow-up high resolution spectroscopic observations on many interesting individual targets.
The propose of this study is to understand the phenomenon of radiation and comparison of analysis of two methods. One is analysis method of same-time data and the another is analysis method of rank data. We confirmed that two methods of correlation analysis had the effectiveness and suitability. The followings are main results from this study. 1) The seasonal correlation coefficient of long and short-wave radiation is higher in winter than in summer because of high humidity in the summer season can makes easily cloud in the sky locally. 2) According to analysis method, there is big difference in correlation coefficient from 0.494(Analysis method of same-time data) to 0.967(Analysis method of rank data) with short-wave radiation by the location during summer. These results have significant value in solar radiation research and analysis. It has explored a new way for solar radiation research of analysis method as well.

According to the development of ubiquitous technologies, sensor networks is used in various area. In particular, medical field is one of the significant application areas using sensor networks, and recently it has come to be more important according to standardization of the body sensor networks technology. There are special characteristics of their own for medical sensor networks, which are different from the one of sensor networks for general application or environment. In this paper, we propose a hierarchical medical sensor networks structure considering own properties of medical applications, and also introduce transmission mechanism based on hierarchical structure. Our mechanism uses the priority and threshold value for medical sensor nodes considering patient's needs and health condition. Through this way Cluster head can transmit emergency data to the Base station rapidly. We also present the new key establishment mechanism based on key management mechanism which is proposed by L. Eschenauer and V. Gligor for our proposed structure and transmission mechanism. We use key provisioning for emergency nodes that have high priority based on patients' health condition. This mechanism guarantees the emergency nodes to establish the key and transmit the urgent message to the new cluster head more rapidly through preparing key establishment with key provisioning. We analyze the efficiency of our mechanism through comparing the amount of traffic and energy consumption with analysis and simulation with QualNet simulator. We also implemented our key management mechanism on TmoteSKY sensor board using TinyOS 2.0 and through this experiments we proved that the new mechanism could be actually utilized in network design.

The Mongolian ger is ideally suited to the mongol's steppe climate and the nomadic way of life. This is a multipurpose dwelling which can be easily collapsed, transported to another place and put up again fully preserving its original shape. The pastoral nomadic ger has two key components: the wooden framework and the felt cover. The wooden parts are the walls(khana), the long poles(un), the smoke escape(toono) and its supports(bagana). One wall consists of 10-15 branches of willow tree. each about 1.5m high bound together in a way making it possible to fold it for transportation and then unfold it like an accordion. The unfolded walls are connected to form a circle. The long poles(un) are fastened to the upper part of the walls, with the other end passed through the toono hole, the only sky window and smoke escape through it from the ger. The toono is propped up by two posts, called bagana. All this forms the wooden framework of the ger, which is covered with felt. When the herders fire up their metal stoves, the temperature inside the ger becomes quite comfortable. Because the nomads live in a climate where there is only one growing season in a year, they do not make long migrations to new pastures. Livestock subsist on standing vegetation for eight months of the year. The basic pasture migration strategy is to leave enough standing vegetation at the end of the growing season in September to suffice until the new growth appears the following May. Mongolians use a type of compressed tea leaf that is called "brick" tea in English because it is rock solid and roughly the shape of a brick. And they consume a larger percent(88%) of fat from animal products such as meat, milk, butter, and cheese than any other people in the world. Milk products made from the milk of sheep, yak, and goats are major foods in the nomad's diet, but they are produced mainly in summer when all the animals are lactating. Mongolians made their special nomadic food culture on the steppe.
