  • This paper reviews KSG2010(Korean Industrial Standard for Student's Desk and Chair) compared to student's body size and suggests its new design guideline. It is found that the chairs are too high to sit straight up, and it is not easy to sit at student's ease because of backbone rest bar not existed in a right place. It is also found that the desks are too high to sit at desk to accept student legs under a drawer. So student's visibility range becomes decreased and it produces a harmful posture for eye protection. This paper also found that step number of student's desks and chairs needs to expand to 12 different steps inserted 5 steps between the existing 7 steps. A reason is that there is gap between the sizes of desk and chair and human height and width. Another reasons is that it is difficult to arrange desks and chairs appropriated to student body sizes in a class room.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the characteristics of role of transport on aerosol concentration at Crate Lake, Oregon USA for 1988.3~1999. 5. The IMPROVE program is a cooperative measurement effort governed by a steering committee composed of representatives from USA federal and regional-state organizations. Also IMPROVE sampler is designed to obtain a complete signature of the composition of the airborne particles affecting visibility. According to 10-day backward isentropic trajectory analysis, the frequency of local, marine and Asian trajectory showed 33.1%(335 cases), 47%(478 cases), 5.2%(53 cases) respectively. The monthly variation of nss $SO_4^{2-}$, nss S, $NO_3^-$, K and C showed the double peak pattern, high in April~May and August~september and showed the lowest concentration in Winter. The other constituents concentration except for Cl$^{[-10]}$ , Na, Mg was high in local trajectory than marine trajectory. A ratio nss $SO_4^{2-}$ to $SO_4^{2-}$ was 90.5% in marine trajectory and 98% in local trajectory. It suggest that the aerosol in Crater Lake was effected by salt. The annual mean concentration of nss $SO_4^{2-}$ and nss S decreased but the springtime concentration increased.

  • The blind spot is an area where drivers visibility does not reach. When drivers change a lane to adjacent lane, they need to give an attention because of the blind spot. If drivers try to change lane without notice of vehicle approaching in the blind spot, it causes a reason to have a car accident. This paper proposes a night-time blind spot vehicle detection using cameras. At nighttime, head-lights are used as characteristics to detect vehicles. Candidates of headlight are selected by high luminance feature and then shape filter and kalman filter are employed to remove other noisy blobs having similar luminance to head-lights. In addition, vehicle position is estimated from detected head-light, using virtual center line represented by approximated the first order linear equation. Experiments show that proposed method has relatively high detection porformance in clear weather independent to the road types, but has not sufficient performance in rainy weather because of various ground reflectors.

  • In recent years, Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Autonomous Vehicle Technology have actively studied around the world. In order to achieve the purpose of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and Autonomous Vehicle Technology, it must be obtained accurate and reliable positioning. However, the problem of positioning in the urban area is a low position accuracy caused by the reduction of the number of visible satellites due to high buildings. In this paper, we analyzed the availability of precise positioning system in urban area are using GPS/BDS integrated system. For this study, GPS and BDS satellite signals were collected using two low-cost receivers in the open sky and a designed software based platform for precise positioning performance analysis. And we analyzed the precise positioning performance by changing the mask angle considering the urban area. From the results, it can be confirmed that the performance of precise positioning of GPS only and BDS only decrease in the environment where mask angle is $40^{\circ}$ to $45^{\circ}$, however, GPS/BDS integrated system maintains high performance of precise positioning.

  • For maintaining high visibility of lane, the high refractive index glass beads with excellent retro-reflectivity are usually applied on the road marking paint. The retro-reflectivity standard of general road marking is different in each country; it is defined as $240mcd/m^2{\cdot}lux$ based on white light in Korea and $250{\sim}300mcd/m^2{\cdot}lux$ in developed countries. In this paper, the recent trends on the manufacturing technology of glass beads suitable for autonomous driving age as well as the road marking regulations has been reviewed. Also, in preparation for the commercialization of autonomous vehicles in the future, the necessity of raising the standard value and improving the glass bead properties were proposed.

  • A communications profile is a system that acquires information from communication links to an ambulance or other vehicle moving on a road and compiles a database based on this information. The equipment (six sets of HDTVs, fish-eye camera, satellite antenna with tracking system, and receiving power from the satellite beacon of the N-star) mounted on the roof of the vehicle, image data were obtained at Yokohama Japan. From these data, the polygon of the building was actually produced and has arranged on the map of the Geographical Survey Institute of a 50 m-mesh. The optical study (relationship between visibility rate and elevation angle) were performed on actual data taken by fish-eye lens, and simulated data by 3D-Map with polygons. There was no big difference. This 3D map system then predicts the communication links that will be available at a given location. For line-of-sight communication, optical analysis allows approximation if the frequency is sufficiently high. For non-line-of-sight communication, previously obtained electric power data can be used as reference information for approximation in certain cases when combined with predicted values calculated based on a 3D map. 3D maps are more effective than 2D maps for landing emergency medical helicopters on public roadways in the event of a disaster. Using advanced imaging technologies, we have produced a semi-automatic creation of a high-precision 3D map at Yokohama Yamashita Park and vicinity and assessed its effectiveness on telecommunications and ambulatory merits.

  • Satellite communication for high altitude platform stations (HAPS) and low earth orbit (LEO) systems suffer from dust and sand (DU&SA) storms in the desert regions such as Saudi Arabia. These attenuations have a distorting effect on signal fidelity at high frequency of operations. This results signal to noise ratio (SNR) to dramatically decreasing and leads to wireless transmission error. The main focus in this paper is to propose common relations between HAPS and LEO for the atmospheric impairments affecting the satellite communication networks operating above Ku-band crossing the propagation path. A double phase three dimensional relationship for HAPS and LEO systems is then presented. The comparison model present the analysis of atmospheric attenuation with specific focus on sand and dust based on particular size, visibility, adding gaseous effects for different frequency, and propagation angle to provide system operations with a predicted vision of satellite parameters' values. Skillful decision and control system (SD&CS) is proposed to control applied parameters that lead to improve satellite network performance and to get the ultimate receiving wireless signal under bad weather condition.

  • This study investigates the impact of ownership structures and audit quality on carbon emission disclosure. It also examines how audit quality affects the relationship between ownership structures and carbon emission disclosure. This research includes 106 standalone sustainability reports from non-financial companies that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) between 2015 and 2018. Our findings show that family and concentrated ownerships convey less information about carbon emissions. Our results fail to demonstrate that disclosure of carbon emissions could be a corporation's approach to respond to stakeholder pressure and public visibility and to provide legitimacy for its existence. We also find a positive and significant association between high-quality (Big4) auditors and carbon emission performance. Our further result suggests that Big4 auditors seem to compromise their high standard quality on auditing family and concentrated ownership firms. They fail to influence their family and concentrated ownership clients to be socially responsible. Policymakers should support the existence of Big4 auditors as a driver of carbon emission performance. Top management should be proactive to tackle carbon emission issues by adopting stakeholder-driven mechanisms and establishing legitimacy with society. Nevertheless, the involvement of family and highly concentrated shareholders in decision-making processes and information disclosure should not be encouraged.

  • In recent times, many accidents have occurred due to challenges in accurately identifying the location of workers, posing a significant societal concern demanding resolution. Therefore, it is essential to develop smart luminescent safety attire to enhance worker visibility in dim environments, thereby curbing accidents. In this study, we propose the utilization of textile-based OLED devices in creating smart luminescent safety clothing, aiming to augment the discernibility of workers over extended distances in low-luminance environments. In view of this, we engineered an attachable textile-based OLED module that balances high luminous efficiency with wearer comfort. Subsequently, a prototype smart luminescent safety clothing was demonstrated, and a performance evaluation was conducted to determine whether any discomfort occurred on wearing it. The fabricated OLED luminous module exhibited high luminance, thus validating the feasibility of creating smart luminescent attire with adequate brightness. Furthermore, there was no significant wearing stress observed, even after wearing it for more than 8 hours, and there was no impediment to various work-related movements. Through this research, we successfully demonstrated OLED based on smart luminescent safety clothing, which has the potential for wide-ranging applications across various industries and occupations, and is expected to play a crucial role in averting safety incidents.
