BLDC 구동을 위한 단일 옵토 카플러에 의한 저가형 위치센서에 관한 연구 (The study on Low-cost Position Sensor by a Single Opto-coupler for BLDC Drive)

  • Energy consumption rapidly increases with industrial development. therefore an interest in the efficiency of various power converters is increasing. Especially, the field of high-efficiency small motors widely distributed for industrial and family use is considered a very important field in terms of efficient energy usage, and accordingly, in the field of small electric equipment, the use of BLDC that allows high-efficiency drive in an inductor gradually increases. However, for the BLDC drive, information on the position of the rotor is essential. Both methods using a magnetic encoder and an optical encoder to detect the information on the position of the rotor obtain the information by three position sensitive devices, and if any one of these position sensitive devices fails to function, no positional information can be obtained, so there is a limitation in implementing a position sensor with high reliability. In the paper, proposes a new type of encoder that can obtain the positional information on the position of the rotor using a single position sensor in order to overcome the issues that it has to use numerous signal flows and that the reliability is reduced for the acquisition of positional information generated by using multiple position detectors. The encoder in the proposed method replaced the function of generating positional information from multiple sensors with the shape of the encoder plate and the capture function of MICOM. In order to verify the validity of the position detection technique by the proposed encoder, a prototype was produced, and an experiment using the capture function of DSP was conducted through this.

  • Recently, the demand for low-voltage, high-capacity ESS is rapidly increasing due to the revitalization of the e-mobility industry, which is mainly powered by electricity. In addition, the demand for portable power banks is rapidly increasing due to the revitalization of leisure industries such as camping and fishing. The ESS with this structure consists of a small number of series cells and many parallel cells, resulting in a system with a large rated current. Therefore, the number of power devices for cell balancing configured in series is small, but a balancing device with a large current capacity is required. Construction of a constant temperature device in such a low-voltage, high-current ESS is difficult due to economic issues. The demand for an active balancing system that can solve the passive balancing heating problem is rapidly increasing. In this paper, propose a power feedback fly-back topology that can solve the balancing heating problem. The characteristic of the proposed topology is that a series-connected voltage sharing voltage is used as the input of the flyback converter, and the converter output is connected to one transformer. In this structure, the converter output for cell voltage balancing shares magnetic flux through one high-frequency transformer, so the cell voltage connected to the converter automatically converges to the same voltage.

  • Hard coatings are known to improve the performance of cutting tools in aggressive machining applications, such as high speed machining. New superhard Ti-Al-Si-W films, characterized by a nanocomposite nano-sized (Ti,Al,Si)N crystallites embedded in amorphous $Si_3 N_4$ matrix, could be successfully synthesized on WC-Co substrates by a hybrid coating system of arc ion plating(AIP) and sputtering method. The hardness of Ti-Al-Si-N film increased with incorporation of Si, and had the maximum value ~50 GPa at the Si content of 9 at.%, respectively. And the X-ray diffraction patterns of Ti-Al-Si-N films with various Si content is investigated. In this study, Ti-Al-Si-N coatings were applied to end-mill tools made of WC-Co material by a hybrid coating system. Cutting tests fir the high-hardened material (STD11,$H_R$)C62 and their performances in high speed cutting conditions were studied. Also, the tool wear and tool lift of Ti-Al-Si-N with various si(6, 9, 19) contents were measured.

Development of a hydraulic power transmission system for the 3-point hitch of 50-kW narrow tractors

  • High performance small and mid-sized tractors are required for dryland and orchard operations. A power transmission system is the most important issue for the design of high performance tractors. Many operations, such as loading and lifting, use hydraulic power. In the present study, a hydraulic power transmission system for the 3-point hitch of a 50 kW narrow tractor was developed and its performance was evaluated. First, major components were designed based on target design parameters. Target operations were spraying, weeding, and transportation. Main design parameters were determined through mathematical calculation and computer simulation. The capacity of the hydraulic cylinder was calculated taking the lifting force required for the weight of the implements into consideration. Then, a prototype was fabricated. Major components were the lifting valve, hydraulic cylinder, and 3-point hitch. Finally, performance was evaluated through laboratory tests. Tests were conducted using load weights, lift arm sensor, and lift arm height from the ground. Test results showed that the lifting force was in the range of 23.5 - 29.4 kN. This force was greater than lifting forces of competing foreign tractors by 3.9 - 4.9 kN. These results satisfied the design target value of 20.6 kN, determined by survey of advanced foreign products. The prototype will be commercialized after revision based on various field tests. Improvement of reliability should be also achieved.

  • High speed machining is one of the most effective technologies to improve productivity. It can give great advantage for manufacture of die and Moulds. However, when machining of micro groove in high speed machining a severely thermal damage was generated on workpiece and cutting tool. Generally, the cutting fluid is used to improve penetration. lubrication. and cooling effect. In order to rise the performance of lubrication. it contains extreme pressure agents (Cl, S, P). But the environment of work room go bad by those additive. Therefore, the compressed chilly air with oil mist system was developed to replace the conventional cutting fluid system. This paper carried out the tests to evaluate the machinability by the cutting environment in high speed micro groove machining of NAK80 (HrC40). Compressed chilly air with oil mist was ejected on the contact area between cutting edge and workpiece. The effect of this developed compressed chilly air with oil mist system was evaluated in terms of tool life. The results showed that the tool lift of carbide tool coated TiAlN with compressed chilly air mist cooling was much longer than that of the dry and flood coolant when cutting the material.

  • Construction automation is yet to be improved since construction site still faces a lot of high risks and difficulties. This research focuses on applying robotic beam assembly system in place of construction workers. This system consists of CF (Construction Factory) structure to provide adequate working environment to robot automation. The CF structure not only gives automation environment for a robot but also houses the equipments to protect from outside effects. The robotic beam assembly system also consists of robotic bolting system and robot transport mechanism. It utilizes various tools to insert and join the bolts and nuts. Visual servoing helps precise robot motion by sensing bolt hole and tail of the bolt. ITA system helps non skilled workers to easily perform the assembly work with the robot system. The robot transport mechanism includes sliding rail and cross-wired lift. It carries the robot to a desired position for assembly work.

고속철도차량용 팬터그래프의 공력특성 평가를 위한 실모형 풍동시험 (A Real-scale Wind Tunnel Testing on a Pantograph for High-speed Train to Assess the Aerodynamic Characteristics)

  • 본 연구에서는 고속주행 시 팬터그래프에 가해지는 공기역학적 특성을 평가하기 위하여 고속철도차량용 실모형 팬터그래프에 대한 풍동시험을 수행하였다. 시험에 사용된 풍동은 공군사관학교의 중형아음속풍동으로서 폭 3.5m $\times$ 높이 2.45m $\times$ 길이 8.8m의 시험부를 가지며, 시험 모형은 하단의 차체부착용 브라켓에서 50cm의 수직 스트럿을 통해 풍동 바닥면에 지지되어 자유류가 시험부 바닥을 지나면서 성장하는 경계층의 영향을 제거하였다. 시험모델은 표준높이와 최소높이 및 풍동의 시험부를 고려한 최대높이에 대하여 정상주행방향 및 역방향 시의 조건을 바꾸어가며 수행되었다. 각각의 조건에 대해서 팬터그래프가 가선에 미치는 압상력을 측정하였으며, 시험 조건에 따른 압상력의 변화에 대하여 분석하였다.

  • 고양력장치는 항공기의 이착륙 및 실속성능에 큰 영향을 미친다. 그러므로, 이 논문에서는 주어진 2차원 플랩 형상에 대하여 가장 최적화된 플랩 위치와 변위각을 얻는 슬롯티드 플랩 설계 최적화 프로세스을 제안하였다. 플랩 변위각 및 Gap, Overlap을 양력을 증가시키는 주요 변수로 생각하였고, 정확한 해석결과를 위해 공력해석 소프트웨어로 ANSYS Fluent 13.0.0$^{(R)}$을 사용하였다. 최적화된 형상은 SQP(Sequential Quadratic Programming) 알고리즘을 통해 도출됐으며, 최적화된 플랩과 함께 ADSP(Aircraft Design Synthesis Program) in-house 성능해석 코드를 사용하여 항공기의 성능을 시험하였고, 이착륙 거리, 실속속도 등의 성능변수들이 KAS-VLA 인증규정을 만족하는 결과를 얻었다.

태양광 시뮬레이터와 PCS를 이용한 배터리 방전시스템 구성 (Battery Discharge System Configuration using Photovoltaic Simulator and PCS)

  • Recently, In the production line of batteries, charge and discharge tests are essential to verify battery characteristics. In this case, the battery charging uses a unidirectional AC/DC converter capable of output voltage and current control, and the discharge uses a resistive load. Since this method consumes energy during discharge, it must be replaced with a bi-directional AC/DC converter system capable of charging and discharging. Although it is difficult to replace the connected inverter part of the bi-directional AC/DC converter system due to the high cost, the spread of the solar-connected inverter rapidly increases as the current solar supply business is activated, and thereby the solar-connected type Inverter prices are plunging. If it can be used as a power converter for battery discharge without program modification of the solar-powered inverter, it will have competition. In this paper, propose a new battery discharge system using a combination of a photovoltaic DC/DC simulator and photovoltaic PCS using a battery to be used as a power converter for battery discharge without program modification of a low-cost photovoltaic inverter. In addition, propose an optimal solar characteristic curve for the stable operation of PCS. The validity of the proposed system was verified using a 500[W] class solar DC/DC simulator and a solar PCS prototype.

  • 무인항공기의 정찰 및 정보 수집 능력을 효율적으로 수행하기 위해 장기 체공 능력이 요구된다. 분산 추진 장치는 대형 추진 장치를 복수의 소형 추진 장치들로 대체하여 추력을 얻는 장치이다. 날개의 스팬 길이를 따라 넓게 분포하여 효율이 증가하며, 유동의 흡입을 통해 경계층을 제어하고 출구에서 분사되는 흐름이 항공기에 부착되어 흐르기 때문에 양항비가 증가한다. 본 연구에서는 전익기 융합익기와 분산 추진 장치가 장기 체공 성능을 향상시키는 점에 착안하여 연구를 수행하였다. Eppler 337 에어포일 유닛에 추진 장치의 위치 및 입 출구 가로세로비 변화에 따라 나타나는 공력특성을 분석했다. CFD를 사용하여 공력해석을 수행하였고, 빠른 해석 결과를 얻을 수 있도록 팬 영역에 작동판 이론을 적용하였다. 양항비와 모멘트 비교를 통해 추진 장치의 위치 및 형상을 결정하고자 한다.
