Purpose: The purpose of the study was to evaluate the status of events and importance-performance analysis (IPA) between industry and school foodservices. Methods: The study subjects were dietitians in industry foodservices (n = 73) and nutrition teachers in school foodservices (n = 135) in the Jeonbuk area. Demographic characteristics, status of events, and problems of implementing events were assessed using a self-administered questionnaire. Results: Approximately 67% of industry foodservices had implemented an event a month, whereas 40.7% of school foodservices did not implement events for students. The type of events that industry and school foodservices had implemented most frequently were Sambok event, Dongji event, Daeboreum event, Spring-Namul event, and Chuseok event. The industry foodservices had significantly higher average scores for performance of events than those of the school foodservices (p < 0.001). In the Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), high importance and high performance (A area: doing great) in industry foodservices were seasonal events, traditional festival day events, anniversary events, traditional seasonal events, and personal memory events, whereas in school foodservices were traditional festival day events, traditional seasonal events, school events, and environment events. Conclusion: These results showed that events are important for the increase in customer satisfaction. Therefore, it is necessary to consider educational programs on event implementation for dietitians and employees in industry and school foodservices.
The R-Z relationship is one of important error factors to determine the accuracy of radar rainfall estimation. In this study, we have explored the effect of the R-Z relationships derived from disdrometer data in estimating the radar rainfall. The heavy rain event that produced flooding in St-Remi, Quebec, Canada has been occurred. We have tried to investigate the severity of rain for this event using high temporal (2.5 min) and spatial resolution ($1^{\circ}$ by 250 m) radar data obtained from the McGill S-band radar. Radar data revealed that the heavy rain cells pass directly over St-Remi while the coarse raingauge network was not sufficient to detect this rain event. The maximum 30 min (1 h) accumulation reaches about 39 (42) mm in St-Remi. During the rain event, the two disdrometers (POSS; Precipitation Occurrence Sensor System) were available: One used for the reflectivity calibration by comparing disdrometer Z and radar Z and the other for deriving disdrometric R-Z relationships. The result shows the significant improvement with the disdrometric reflectivity-dependent R-Z relationships against the climatological R-Z relationship. The bias in radar rain estimation is reduced from +12% to -2% and the root-mean squared error from 16 to 10% for daily accumulation. Using the estimated radar rainfall rate with disdrometric R-Z relationships, the flood event was well captured with proper timing and amount.
As the hospitalized patients will be facing new stress situation due to change of his environment from home to hospital it will be very important to understand the psychological stress experienced by hospital patients not only for helping patients in the process of recovery from illness but also fulfil1ing the objective of comprehensive nursing care by understanding the needs of the patients. There is no doubt that it would be very helpful for treatment of patients as well as for improvement of nursing care if we know more about psychological needs of patients and give them adequate support to meet these needs. The study to find out the causes and degree of stress events experienced by hospitalized patients, with the objective of instituting improvement of nursing care program based on the needs of patients, was conducted during the month of September 1974 with 60 patients randomly selected from those admitted to medical and surgical wards at Yonsei Medical Center in that period The questionnaire form included 36 questions which are considered to be stress events for hospital patients, and was devide into five areas namely, such events related to 1) disease itself, 2) hospital environment, 3) nursing care and treatment, 4) communication and human relations, and 5) family and economic problems. The results of the study were as follows: 1. It was confirmed that hospitalization considered to be a stress producing factor and most patients perceived the admission to hospital as a stress factor. 2. According to the rating scale, it was found that degree of perceived stress shows a variation according to the source of stress producing event. 3. No significant differences in the mean values were observed statistically with the perceived stress levels according to demographic and other variables of patients related to hospitalization. 4. Among the questions related to disease itself, "Admission for surgery" was perceived most frequently as a stress event (97.14%) by patients. 5. With regard to the questions related to hospital environment, "death of the patient room-mate" was the most serious stress event perceived by patients (90%) and "living with hospital regulations"was considered to be less serious stress event (23.33%). 6. As for the questions related to nursing care and treatment, "limitation of freedom" was perceived as a stress factor most frequently (70.91%) by the patients and "worry for wrong treatment" turned out to be less frequent stress event (50.0%). 7. As for the questions related to communication and human relations, "difficulty to meet doctors when wanted"appeared to be the most frequent stress event by the respondents (75.86%) , followed by "no explanation about treatment or examination"(75.0%) and "no explanation about nursing care procedures"(71.66%). 8. With regard 111 tile questions related to family and economic problems, "inadequate finances for family living due to hospitalization"and "high cost of hospitalization" were the most frequent cause of stress mentioned by the patients. (80.0%). 9. As a result of application of the stepwise regression analysis, it was found that about 89% was explained by those events associated with disease itself, hospital environment and family and economic problems. By adding those events related to "nursing care and treatment" and "communication and human relation", 100% of stress associated with hospitalization was explained.
Event-detection is an important application of sensor networks. Join operations can facilitate event-detection with a condition table predefined by a user. When join operations are used for event-detection, it is desirable, if possible, to do in-network join processing to reduce communication costs. In this paper, we propose an energy-efficient in-network join algorithm, called PBA. In PBA, each partition of a condition table is stored along the path from each node to the base station, and then in-network joins are performed on the path. Since each node can identify the parts to store in its storage by its level, PBA reduces the cost of disseminating a condition table considerably Moreover, while the existing method does not work well when the ratio of the size of the condition table to the density of the network is a little bit large, our proposed method PBA does not have such a restriction and works efficiently in most cases. The results of experiments show that PBA is efficient usually and especially provides significant cost reduction over existing one when a condition table is relatively large in comparison with the density of the network, or the routing tree of the network is high.
In mid-April, 2000, hundreds of thousands of fish floated dead on the Chungnang River, one of the small branches of the Han River in Seoul. We examined the causes of the accident in detail, through analysis of monitorinq data from the Han River Monitoring Project, which employed the transplanted aquatic moss, Fontinalis antipyretica. This allowed investigation of another possible cause of the fish kill: release of trace metals into the river from industrial sources during the rainfall event. In addition, we aimed to verify the usefulness of aquatic mosses as bioindicators of the event. Water samples collected 48 h after the fish kill exhibited low pH and high Total-N and Total-p, indicating that acidic compounds rich in nitrogen and phosphorus might be a major contaminant. BOD and COD were also very high. On the whole, the conditions of the river water were degraded at that time. Distinct trends were not observed in the chlorophyll phaeophy-tinization quotient and photosynthesis rate of transplanted mosses. How-ever mosses sampled soon after the accident exhibited the lowest values for those variables (P < 0.01), suggesting that stress factors in the river were diluted out over time. Heavy metals with characteristics of industrial effluents (Cr, Pb, Zn, Fe, Cu, and Cd) increased (p < 0.01), indicating that they were unlikely to be major causes of the accident.

Because development of high speed network, spread of internet, and high quality of computer performance, request and internet about massive multiplayer playing the game, is increasing. In order to experience realistic game play which is one of the most importance factor in massive multiplayer on-line, synchronization is importance matter. We propose synchronized and optimized scheme that combined FSM (Finite State Machine) and event holding method for efficient state synchronization for massive multiplayer on-line, and we show the effectiveness and reliability of our proposed scheme through the implementing and testing of the game server applying on our proposed scheme.

Conditional sampling techniques are utilized to investigate the relation between the wall skin-friction and stream wise velocity fluctuations in a turbulent boundary layer. Conditionally averaged results using a peak detection and the VITA (variable-interval time-averaging) technique show that a high skin friction is associated with high frequency components of the wall skin-friction fluctuations. The conditionally averaged wall skin-friction fluctuations obtained by using the VITA technique have a positively-skewed characteristics compared with the conditionally averaged stream wise velocity fluctuations. It is confirmed that there exists a phase shift between the wall skin-friction and stream wise velocity fluctuations, which was also found from the long-time averaged space-time correlations. The amount of phase shift between the wall skin-friction and stream wise velocity fluctuations is the same as that from the long-time averaged space-time correlations and does not change despite the variation of the detection threshold.
The Cosmic Ray Experiment (CRE) is one of the modules flown on board the KITSAT-1 satellite and consistes of two sub-systems: the Total Dose Experiment (TDE) and the Cosmic Particl Experiment(CPE). The purpose of CRE is to characterize the space radiation environment as encountered by an Earth-orbiting spacecraft. KITSAT-1 orbit is dominated by the inner Van Allen radiation belt. This region has a large population of high energy protons which contributes significantly to both long-term and transient radiation effects. The data shows that the inner Van Allen radiation belt is very stable and the solar activity influences the CPE, TDE data and SEU(Single Event Upset) rates. The result also shows that much larger high energy particle flux is recorded than the predictions of the CREME code.
In order to study unsteady aerodynamic loads on high speed trains passing by each other at the speed of 350km/h, three-dimensional flow fields around trains during the crossing event are numerically simulated using the three-dimensional Euler equations. The Roe's FDS with MUSCL interpolation is employed to simulate wave phenomena properly. An efficient moving grid system based on domain decomposition techniques is developed to analyze the unsteady flow field induced by the restricted motion of a train on a rail. The numerical simulations of the trains passing by on the double-track are carried out to study the effect of the train nose-shape, the train length and the existence of tunnel when the crossing event occur. Unsteady aerodynamic loads side force and drag force-acting on the train during the crossing are numerically predicted and anlayzed. It is found that the strength of the side force mainly depends on the nose-shape, and that of drag force on tunnel existence. And it is observed that the push-pull like impulsive force successively acts on each car and acts in different directions between the neighborhood cars. The maximum change of the impulsive force reaches about 3 tons. These aerodynamic force data are absolutely necessary for the evaluation of the stability of the high speed multi-car train. The results also indicate the effectiveness of the present numerical method for the simulation of unsteady flow field induced by the bodies in the relative motion.
The objectives of this study were to understand the runoff characteristics of the non-point sources originating from impervious surfaces and to assess their effect on the aquatic environment in the urban areas. The concentration of pollutants (SS, BOD, COD and T-P) except for T-N showed the highest value in runoff from road, and event mean concentration (EMC) also showed high value from road. The pollutants discharged from road showed a higher concentration in the beginning stage (0 ${\sim}$ 30%) of progressive percentage of rainfall. The contribution percentages of non-point sources by load were 44.9% for SS, 11.2% for BOD, 21.4% for COD, 11.4% for T-N and 8.1% for T-P in the total load of pollutant discharged through sewer. From our results, the road was a significant potential source that deteriorated water quality of the streams and lakes in the vicinity of the urban area during the rain period. Therefore, counter plan is required to reduce pollutant concentration on the road from non-point sources in the urban area. Also, since pollutant concentration in the beginning stage of rainfall was quite high, road cleaning seems to be one of the very useful methods to prevent inflowing of pollutants to the aquatic environment.
